My daughter started Kumon in September 2020. The center is very clean and they follow all COVID-19 procedures. We feel very safe there! My daughter raised her reading district assessment score by 71 points from fall to winter (3 months)! She could not have done this without Kumon’s program- we are very thankful in the quick progress she is making. Kumon also celebrated all of the students’ in their program with ribbons and trophies in December. I love how they acknowledged their students academic successes and made them feel so special. My daughter has her reading ribbon displayed proudly in her bedroom.

Overall, I believe Kumon is a great program for children. As I was a former student of Kumon for math, I can say that it really did benefit me in my elementary school years. Though it can seem repetitive at times, the results of this repetition is that mental math becomes a breeze. Now, I work as a Kumon employee, and I enjoy my job there. I see kids improving in their math and reading skills over a course of time. Not only that, but this job has also helped me improve my teaching skills both in communication and memory. I see Kumon as an overall great experience and I would highly recommend Kumon for children as it is truly beneficial and will help a child’s education in the future.

Kumon is a great place for students. Not only do they advance the students knowledge of mathematics and reading, it also fosters the importance of hard work. Repetitions may have seemed redundant, but they immensely assisted my ability to stay focused and complete my work efficiently. Through Kumon, I learned how to work hard and be productive. The Kumon method taught me how to solve problems on my own, using the examples and information I had. Critical thinking, hard work, and effective problem solving are vital skills that I continue to use throughout my high school years.

When I was first enrolled in Kumon, my parents expected me to get better at math. It took a while for it to become noticeable, but I was slowly improving. After a few months I noticed that I was finishing worksheets in school in a fraction of the time the other students took. In a few years, I was well over a grade level in math than the other students in my class. Going to Kumon, however did not just teach me math. Working with the instructor and doing hours of math also taught me to be a hard worker. I felt so grateful for all the help that Kumon has given me that, now, I volunteer here, and help kids just like me improve.

It is a great concept and has helped my daughter tremendously. Ms Shah is the best instructor you could ask for. She is very approachable and accommodates our needs. My daughter has been going to this center for the past 2 and half years and we love it.

Kumon is a great place for students to learn the foundations of math and reading. As a student, Kumon helped me get ahead in academics in terms of my reading comprehension skills, vocabulary, and the fundamental concepts in math (Computations, Algebra, etc.) As an employee, my time at Kumon served as an excellent opportunity for me to help, teach, and interact with students of all ages as well as refresh some of my own skills in math and reading.

At the beginning it was ok as I thought my child needed help but after 1 year things went down hill. My child didnt like it and the material is too redundant as you get same homework for 3 months. My dog could do the homework by then. I asked them to increase the level of education for my child and they said they would. Two weeks down the road same homework. They nominate students for being higher then grade school level but they are not. False assumptions all the time lately. When I told them Im leaving with my child they got upset and rude to the point they would almost yell at me and cut me off while speaking every sentence. Went from 3.5 starts at best to 1. Not only the homework got tiring over 100 pages a week but you end up doing all the work and end up paying them over 200/mo for all the work you doing at home anyway. The Child only gets 8 hrs/mo of real teaching class including test and the rest of 80+ hrs you end up doing. So you do the math. Never going back! Find something else!
