We highly recommend Guilderland Music Academy. Our son was starting to become disinterested in the alto sax, so we enrolled him in lessons here and he rediscovered his love for music. After a year or so of not being able to play in school, he looks forward to going to his lesson every week and he really enjoys his teacher, Ralph. Were so happy with our experience!

My son has gone there for 6 years (previously in Albany) for alto sax and loves his teacher! Talented, patient, communicative ....They have been very accommodating with COVID and we continue through zoom. So glad he has not lost music during these trying times.

We found Guildeland Music Academy through an on line search. From the very beginning the communication was fantastic. We started at the Scotia location but changed due to personal scheduling conflicts. Finding lesson times was incredibly easy. Switching was incredibly easy. They are accommodating and have, I feel, the perfect amount of communication. I like the texting feature. It makes rescheduling and contacting so much easier. I also love that switching to a Zoom lesson is smooth and easy while staying good quality. This has been a life saver the past few weeks. The price is, I feel, on par with the area and I do feel you get what you pay for. I find it to be a fair price. All around a great company that has made it easy for our child to start down a musical path.

I highly recommend lessons with GMA. They are very professional, both staff and instructors, and are on top of scheduling and makeups. I was amazed at how quickly they made online lessons happen-without missing a beat (no pun intended) my daughter was able to continue with her lessons throughout the whole CV response. Lessons are convenient and seamless. My daughter really enjoys the lessons and I feel they are helping her to want to stick with it!

I can’t say enough great things about The Guilderland Music Academy. Both of my children (10 and 7) take personal music lessons once a week.The teachers and staff go above and beyond to accommodate every student. My son wasn’t loving playing the trombone, so Ms. Kelly at the front desk talked to us and suggested he try the drums. I am so glad she made the recommendation! My son is now playing drums for his school band along with his lessons once a week with Mr. Nick( who is incredible).My only regret is not starting my children here sooner!

My daughter is taking saxophone lessons and I cannot tell you how wonderful this experience with GMA has been. Along with the benefits of playing an instrument, her instructor is contributing to her increased confidence and enthusiasm for her instrument.During covid-19, if we werent able to come in for her lesson, we would meet 1:1 through zoom. Started taking lessons there during the Covid-19 pandemic. They really seem to have a great grasp of how to handle giving virtual lessons.

GMA is an amazing music school for students of all ages and experience levels. They have so many different instructors for different instruments. All of the instructors I have met have been professional, talented and great with kids. I highly recommend you check them out and you can take in person or virtual lessons which is amazing!

The care and professionalism of the teaching and office staff has made my daughters beginning piano lessons an awesome experience. The adaptations they have made to offer virtual lessons, the changes they have made to ensure safety of the clients in the studio, and the overall attention to detail with the schedule, communication, and sense of community, are reasons my daughter looks forward to her lessons each week. My son has been learning piano at GMA for about a year now and our experience has been great. We are really glad to see his progress and his growth during this time. His piano teacher, Ms. Allyson puts in a lot of hard work and is doing a wonderful job with him!

My daughter loves it here. She absolutely loves her teacher. They are friendly and professional and if you cant make it to class for whatever reason you can make it up during the week.

We have two kids in lessons at GMA and have been very impressed with their services. The teachers have all been fantastic and they offer regular recitals and opportunities for the kids to showcase their talents. My son has been taking upright bass lessons here since last summer. I have been very impressed with the office staff and his teachers. Everyone is very good at communicating and very helpful if you have any questions. When this pandemic started they didnt miss a beat (pun intended) and started zoom lessons almost immediately. They have gone above and beyond with their zoom utilization by offering at least once a week free online concerts which I think helps kids and parents discover other instruments. I would highly recommend them.

My son just started trumpet lessons, in person, a few months ago. The safety precautions have been great. The communication with GMA is top notch! My son loves his lessons and shows improvement each week! We are so happy we decided to go with GMA for music lessons.

Great local music school. My sons teacher, Malcolm, is patient and very knowledgeable. My son looks forward to his lessons and is learning things he could not get from an online program. I believe the one and one learning is always the best.

My daughter takes violin and my son piano. They both look forward to going weekly. I feel that my kids are getting the perfect intro to music/instruments and they’re enjoying this experience. The private rooms have glass doors so I can peek in to see how they’re doing. Comfortable waiting room for me. I feel that both of their teachers work well with children and would definitely recommend this place!

My daughter started piano lessons in the Fall of 2017 when the Guilderland Music Academy first opened. We have been really happy with our experience here. I chose GMA based on the convenient location and competitive prices.My daughter started with group piano lessons, and later moved up to private lessons because she liked piano so much and it fit our schedule better. The teachers have been great, and keep my daughter engaged and interested in her piano lessons.There is a nice waiting area outside the classrooms, including a table and chairs and Wifi.I am very impressed with how well they communicate, with newsletters, automatic billing, and also quick responses via e-mail (I have had a lot of questions about scheduling, and they have worked to accommodate me).Overall, a great experience, and we are planning on having our other daughter also take lessons.

Love the GMA! My daughter just started her vocal/instruments music class with GMA. Her teacher Carlene is great with kids and teaches them music in fun way. She uses rhymes to teach her music technicalities. The kids are always moving in thr class singing, jumping, stomping but all to the beat!
