This class was really fun and informative! We spent a good amount of time reading the textbook to prepare for the test. But it is really fun and the class feels like a family! The Coaches were funny, nice and really constructive. Be prepared to get into driving really quickly, however they wouldn’t put you in situations when you’re not ready or uncomfortable. Lots of laughs, definitely miss that class! Highly recommend!

I was a student at coach Al’s Driving School and I couldn’t ask for a better experience in driving the instructors are just so nice are there for you whenever you need it and most of all get you ready to drive wherever you need to go they get you ready for this by sharing there personal experiences with driving sometimes it would get very emotional but you were always taught lesson of driving in the real world I couldn’t ask for better instructors and I loved being there and making new friends thank you coach Al’s driving School for my amazing driving experience

Coach Al’s was amazing with our 15 year old daughter. Eddie was funny yet to the point and strict be fair. All around great person. The office was great at handling our payment as well. We feel so comfortable with the class & in person driving that our daughter received from Coach Al’s. 10/10!!!!

My wife grew up overseas and never needed to drive until she came to the US. As a result, she’s always been incredibly nervous behind the wheel. After a few lessons with Coach Eddie, her confidence soared and now she’s able to drive anywhere without problems. We highly recommend this school to adult drivers with little or no driving experience.

I cant thank Coach Als enough for turning a bad situation into a great one. We had a bad experience at Old School Driving and requested to transfer her to complete her behind-the-wheel driving hours. When I emailed, I got a prompt, informative and helpful response back from Stacey. After the proper channels were contacted and once my daughter was officially transferred, Coach Eddie did a great job finishing up her hours. My daughter was comfortable, felt confident behind the wheel, and liked that Coach Eddie was patient with her and didnt belittle her for making normal new driver mistakes. My son went through Coach Als Driving School with Coach Eddie Torres. Not only was my 15 year old son engaged and excited about what he learned, but he continually reminds me how I can improve my driving! He drives on the highway and city streets obeying speed limits and doing an excellent job. Coach Eddie did a great job, I highly recommend the class.

Just did my road test today after taking driving lessons with Coach Eddie, and Im so happy I chose this driving school! Im an older driver (late twenties) and have had driving phobia for the better part of my life. I took the chance and picked Coach Als because of reviews from other drivers who were in my position, and I can confirm that this is an excellent place for anxious drivers. Coach Eddie has a great personality, is patient and comforting, and willing to work with your schedule. I couldnt recommend them more!

Coach was TERRIFIC! In the short time two weeks with our Son, he became a role model and was looked up to by our Boy. Coach provides direction to the student Drivers and recognizes that mistakes happen, but NEVER came down too hard on our Son. In the two weeks, our Son learned lifelong lessons and we cant thank Coach enough for making it such a positive/turnkey experience!

Going into coach Als driving school I was extremely nervous, but the coaches and teacher were really nice they made the driving experience really fun and less nerve wracking. We got to learn how to park and drive, and even though we did make mistakes they took the time to kindly correct us. They also were kind enough to get to know us individually and it showed that they really cared. I would definitely recommend Coach Als driving school!

I recently finished my Drivers ed course with Coach Als, and it was a good experience! All the coachs are incredibly kind and encouraging; they make sure students get hands on practice on the roads (which can be a little nerve wracking, but they are wonderful at putting anxious drivers-like me- at ease after a round or two of driving) and they teach them how to be a safe driver. It is a quick three weeks and it goes by quickly, but within this crash course I learned parallel parking, the all rules of the road and just how to be a good driver in general. The instructors really do care for the kids and it is obvious by the way they interact with them. They want students to be safe, happy,and healthy both on and off the road, so there is a lot of real world life lessons to be learned here as well. It was a pleasure to be a part of this school and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to know how to be the best driver they can be. Thank you Coach Als for all you do!

Im 29 years old, and for various health reasons and anxiety issues, compounded with bad instructors in the past, I had missed out on getting my drivers license. I didnt know it, but signing up with Coach Als Driving school and with Coach Eddie was setting myself up for the best success. I took the 7 hour course, and the first lesson was the most difficult. I had a lot of nerves to overcome. But, no matter how many mistakes I made, Coach Eddie was attentive and prepared to correct me without deflating my self esteem. The 2nd lesson onward, I gained incredible confidence and encouragement from the coach, ready to learn, ask questions, and casually converse. The directions given for the roads and routes to take were clearly stated, and Coach Eddie had great planning to maximize learning opportunities. By the time I took my test I was very relaxed and felt comfortable. This was exactly what I had hoped for but wasnt sure was possible. No matter what age or circumstances youre in, I recommend Coach Als driving school. You wont regret it!

This school was a great experience. I loved how we had time to drive in and outside of class. We learned how to park, drive on the freeway and drive though Albuquerque with no fear. This was the best place for my son to learn how to drive. The driving instructors are also first responders who have the very real information to share with young drivers. The hands-on driving portion was the best! I didn’t have to pick my son up from class sometimes because the instructor had him drive himself home! These guys are pros at what they do!

What a great guy!! It took me awhile to make a review only because I couldn’t figure out how to do it😂😂 But let me say he was fantastic. We would make stops and he would actually stop the time, that just felt significant as I was still with him but when he was doing little errands when I thought we were done driving we weren’t. That most definitely felt like I was getting my time and moneys worth!! If I had to come back he would be the one to go to. He would talk to make it more comfortable. But after further thinking it was probably a test to make sure I could multi task so there’s no such think as crashing when talking and driving😂. I can’t express how he went over and beyond. He would come get me from school and then after I was done I’d go to my house. That was only one of the many conveniences. When I wanted to learn parallel parking we drove around the block quite a few times until I didn’t have to think about it too much longer. I still remember to hand the baby through the window. After we practiced he assured me parallel parking was not on the drivers test but still took the time to teach me. I would still be doing 5+ point turns to parallel park if it wasn’t for Coach Al. Trust me when I tell you, you won’t be disappointed.😀😎

I have four kids and the youngest went to this driving school. I wish all my kids would have attended this driving school. They made us feel special and the perks that this school (pick up from school, drop off at home, etc...) as part of the driving instruction was great. They have the kids get their permits when the school starts so they can drive with a parent or instructor right of way. They made my daughter feel like their own child. I would definitely recommend this school for your child! Thumbs up!

I had a great time driving here the coaches are amazing and they talk to you while you drive to help you stay calm. i learned that practice is the best way to learn to drive and i got a ton of driving hours in. by the end of the class i practically knew how to drive i would totally recommend this school.

Im an adult driver with a HUGE amount of anxiety behind the wheel. The thought of driving absolutely terrified me, and for the longest time I was pretty sure Id never be able to drive. But I found Coach Als Driving School through reviews and called them to see their opinion on my situation. They assured me that their instructors were all skilled enough to handle my worries, and that I wasnt the first, or last, person to come to them like this. And they were right! I drove constantly with them, learning about the rules of the road and what all goes into driving a car. Its still crazy knowing I can actually drive now! Not only that, but they prepare you well for the tests! You start the class getting your driving permit with their help, and by the end of the class you take the drunk driving course and the written exam. They balanced everything, and youll see some dramatic results with them!

Going to Coach Al’s Driving School was one of the best choices of my life! I met some interesting and funny people! The instructors (Coach Eddie being my personal favorite) always tried to lighten the anxiety of driving by talking us through each thing we learned! Honestly the best! Ive called all around and was treated rudely and without a care. When I called here Kay was honestly so nice about everything! When I had to go to the ER the first time we scheduled a drive she was very concerned and helped me reschedule. Contacted Coach Als for my 18 year old daughter to help with experience and confidence behind the wheel and everything from start to finish exceeded my expectations! I took the 6hr course a few days ago and Ive been trying to find the best way to encourage everyone to give Coach Al their business. Go to Coach Al, be honest with Coach Al, and give 100% during his class. Hes not wasting your time, and he sure isnt wasting his. The information he provided during this class was far better than any I have received in my life. On top of all that great information, the price is reasonable and Coach Al wants to see every student succeed. Honestly, I hope I get to see Coach Al again. He left a very positive impact in my life during that class and Ive been sharing his wisdom to whoever will listen. Seriously, follow his advice and see how much easier driving can be. We had a wonderful experience with Coach Als Driving School. The staff was supportive and made classroom learning fun. The instructors scheduled drive time in such a manner that was easy and accommodating. My daughter finished her drive time before the end of the course. Instructors genuinely cared for the students. I sent my older child to another well known driving school in Albuquerque a couple of years ago and it was such a hassle trying to get in his driving hours and they charged extra for every test. Parents, if you are having troubles deciding which Driving School to have your child attend, may I suggest Coach Als Driving School. My daughter started with another well known driving school last year. (July 2018) The class portion was fine, but my daughter was never able to get schedule for her driving time, 7 hours of hands on driving instruction with an instructor. Once the driving schools students when back to school so did their instructors. After seven months and only promises of getting my daughter her required driving time, I decided to go to Coach Als. Coach Als driving instructor Gary Tafoya, picked up my daughter at her school to start her driving lessons and would end them each time at our home. No dropping off or picking up at the school, which made it so nice for us. Eddie Torres, the schools class instructor direct me on how to get my daughters paperwork transfer from previous school to them, so they could complete the certification and the final driving test for my daughter.Great company for any parent with teens. Highly recommend them.Thank you

This class was absolutely amazing. Coach Al has a great sense of humor and the staff all together helped me better myself as a driver a lot. I had a great time in the class and when it ended I was actually pretty sad. This truly is the best driving school in New Mexico. I was always excited to go to class. I just took Coach Al’s course and it’s amazing!!! His driving school is the l best, hands down. It is very fun, entertaining and informational. I learned so much in 3 weeks. I would recommend this driving school over all other driving schools. The experience is great, wide range and the class overall is actually fun and engaging. Im learning how to back up, parallel park, drive with traffic and useful tips about driving everyday starting from day one. There is no time wasted during these classes and students, like me, look forward to coming here for class.

We drove all over the city. We were picked up at our school on days that we drove. We drove nearly an hour on those days and we got to pick the place we wanted to eat. The coaches actually cared about giving us the skills, confidence and information required to drive safely and defensively. We also went to the parking lot and did forwards and backwards parking and parallel parking. Even in the classroom (the parts that are thought of to be the most boring) the coaches made it as fun and interesting as they could. Overall, it was one of the most enjoyable three weeks of my life.

This school is great!!! I would highly recommend families to look at this school. We attended another school then we went to Coach Al for some additional time and education since our kid did not get what he needed from the other school. Coming to this driving schools was probably one of the highlights of my week. The instructors are absolutely hilarious and extremely informational. They helped me conquer my fear of driving and showed me the safest way to go about it. I had plenty of drive time with the coaches, and was taught things such as parking, parallel parking, and proper driving etiquette. I would recommend this driving school to anyone.

Ive been with Coach Als driving school for only a week and I have already completed all my hours of driving. This school made me feel much more comfortable driving and helped me become a stronger driver. Im so happy I moved to this school. I am less scared and nervous about driving. I enrolled my son at Coach Al’s for the 7 hour one on one driving lessons. My son had a horrible experience at Old School of Driving in Rio Rancho, so I cancelled with them after only 3 hours of “lessons”.My son (Noah C.) had nothing but great things to say about his instructor, Manuel. Manuel really helped to boost my son’s confidence (unlike the other school). He also answered all of my son’s questions and made him feel at ease. Thank you!!

Coach Al and Coach Eddie as well as Mrs. Cindy have a certain way of establishing a fun and easygoing environment that caters to the young minds of their students. They make both classroom work and real driving seem engaging and do an excellent job of including everyone. They encorporate fun activities such as drunk simulation goggles and range driving to ensure that the education of their students is well rounded and extensive. Before starting at Coach Als Driving School, I told my friends that I would be starting to take drivers ed. Everyone kept telling me that they dreaded drivers ed, and after a while I thought that I might experience the same thing. That is definitely not what happened. Al, Eddie, and Cynthia are fantastic instructors. Im so glad to learn from them! They know how to handle a large class full of teenagers. Each one of them have the ability to make us laugh, get us to pay attention when we arent, and most of all teach us everything we need to know about the roads and the privilege of driving. Al and Eddie also work with the students outside of class. They pick up students from their schools and teach them to drive once the students have their permit, which helps tremendously. They teach students how to drive and park correctly, including tricks about driving.In conclusion, Im glad to have attended this class. I had a great time and I learned so much from the best driving instructors around.

Coach Als driving school is the place to be man! The instructors Coach Al and Couch Eddie are great. They help get in at the very least, 7 hours of driving. Not only that but they also have the students work their way up to getting on the interstate highway. Theres never been a single accident! I have just moved to new mexico and i joined Coach Al’s Driving School and i can honesty say it’s been the best 3 weeks of my life. I made great friends and i learned in a entertaining yet affective way. Coach Al, Coach Eddie, and Mrs. Cindy are amazing instructors and pushed us all out of our comfort zones to make us better drivers. I’m very sad that my 3 weeks is over because i would do it again in a heart beat. They thought us through real life experiences and simulations that encouraged us to be safe drivers. I just finished taking drivers ed at this driving school and it was one of the best times Ive had. They had me drive on the highway, in the rain, and at night! I got my permit within the first week and passed the permit and provisional test with ease. Was driving down the frontage road by Comanche when coach als driving school truck cut in front of me while I was slowing down approaching a red light having stop more abruptly. Then saw that the man switched back into his original lane after passing the light where I saw the man talking on his cell phone. I cant say i wnt him teaching driving students

Cant thank Coach Al enough. My daughter finished Coach Als class about 5 months ago and I just didnt feel like she was comfortable behind the wheel. I called up Coach Al and got more driving time for her, I even tagged along. She was a completely different driver with him. His calm coaching style gave her the extra confidence she needed and it put me at ease in the back seat. I firmly believe parents should do a ride along during one of the driving sessions, it will help you become the coach your child needs instead of the protective parent that makes them nervous. Coach Als Driving School is the best in the state. I was nervous about starting driving school because many of my friends said they had bad experiences with instructors at other schools as well as a boring class, but there was never a moment of boredom at Coach Als. Behind the wheel driving was so helpful, and everything Coach Al taught in the range made me feel so much more confident as a learning driver. Everyone should go to Coach Als to learn to drive. The fun, engaging style of the class helped me learner as much as I could.

Unlike other schools, this one gets right to teaching you, I mean sure I blacked out day one, but I learned everything quickly and the coaches explained everything clearly. They have a very nice hands on approach with their students and can even do some one on one driving time so everyone can get in their hours. Would recommend them without hesitation.

Honestly, when I first went there I was a bit intimidated...however after I got to some of the coaches it was a ton of fun. Good coaches with good background, perfect for what they are trying to accomplish at this driving school. They take the consideration of the parents when it comes to affordability, which is always a plus. One, if not, the best driving schools in New Mexico.

I had just moved from out of state and my daughter had to get her license and Coach Al made sure we were taken care of and we got everything we needed to get her license. The price was very affordable and reasonable, and the in classroom experience was the best, she learned a lot and passed her test with ease. Coach Al even called to check up on us after she got her license to make sure everything went smoothly. Definitely recommend this driving school, it is the best I have ever put my kid through!

On the first day, Coach Eddie told us wed miss them when class ended. Honestly, I didnt believe him one bit but I can assure you, hes right.I just finished their 2 week course at the Unser location and Im much more comfortable being behind the wheel. My parents noticed improvement in my driving with every lesson. By day 4, we were out driving on busy highways. I got into the car feeling anxious and not knowing where anything was but Coach James and Coach Manuel assured me Id get the hang of it, they explained everything I needed to do calmly and told me what I needed to work on.Class time was also fun, Ms. Cindy was very sweet and answered every question I had. Her stories made the hours go by fast and I learned a lot from her.You will definitely be forced out of your comfort zone but I promise, itll be worth it. The staff work with you and your schedule to make sure you get the most driving time you can including being picked up or dropped off at home/school.The instructors here are amazing at what they do, they made these 2 weeks a blast.P.S. Coach Eddie is the awesomest

This driving school is excellent. My teacher gives technical yet easy instructions and he is very relaxed. I used to go to old school of driving and they were horrible, coach als is much better.

I had a lot of fun and learned so much. The teachers were great and made things easy for us to understand. I highly recommend this school. You wont regret it!

Before Coach Als driving school I knew nothing about driving or even how to drive down a straight road. But now after having classes with Coach Al and Coach Eddie Im learning a lot of skills and getting better at things I never was able to do! Coach Al is hilarious and makes driving school really fun!! I just finished the Coach Als Driving School program.The instructors were very nice and helpful. I had a great time. Coach Al and Coach Eddie were very funny and kept me focused and relaxed while driving. They made sure every student got his or her driving hours in. They provide everything you need according to New Mexico laws, but make it fun at the same time. I never once dreaded going to class. Thank you Coach Als Driving School!

As a new driver and new to town, I got lessons with Al to get to know ABQ and improve my driving in general. Al is incredible, not only as an instructor but also someone to spend time with. He made me feel calm and gain a lot more confidence behind the wheel. I couldnt recommend Coach Als Driving School any more highly, its excellent.

I was super nervous going into drivers ed. I had no idea of what to expect. My friend recommended this place and said it was the greatest and I am now here as to second this! I learned so much and I feel so much safer driving on the road. I will always recommend Coach Al’s Driving School for as long as I live. You are guaranteed to get the best service and education about driving at this school. I’m so happy that my money was well spent. They are definitely the best.
