Review №1

I came to the NM Judo Institute looking to begin a new martial arts journey, after having trained in striking disciplines for almost 20 years. It is everything I could have asked for---a focused, tightly-knit, dedicated group of Judoka intent on pursuing the way of Budo. I am very happy to have found this place.

My son Skyler competed successfully in tournaments around the Southwest while learning the sport of Judo from the Senseis at NMJI. He was taught discipline, respect for his superiors which led to his self respect and also a positive impact on his self esteem.Sensei Lorenzo was taught Kodokan style Judo which is heavily influenced by the Code of Bushido which has trickled down to a vast majority of Judokas, i having been one of them.I refer to Judo as Japanese wrestling with the need to learn how to fall properly an imperative, then throwing and pins. After 13 yrs of age one can perform choking techniques and after 17 yrs of age arm bars.Enjoy :-)
