Garfield is a great little school in the North Valley. I think it could use some remodeling/updating as it was built in the early 50’s. The school is filled with amazing teachers. Multiple generations have attended the school and are grateful for the relatively new STEM theme. As a community school, families have access to a variety of resources to meet their needs. The school offers a great variety of activities. Check this school out if your student is interested in project based learning and STEM focus.

This is our first year at Garfield and it hasnt been easy with virtual learning. But the team at Garfield is organized and really communicates well. The classroom format is great to follow kids homework and easy to use. Most of the teachers were well versed in it. We cant wait to be back to in-person learning and all of the after school activities!!

An excellent hidden gem of a magnet school. Great mix of neighborhood and transfer students make this an up and coming school of excellence! The teachers are thoughtful, caring, and create great learning experiences for their students. Project Lead the Way at every grade level as well as integration of the Design Process, Engineering Habits of Mind, and Project Based Learning across the content areas. Small class sizes, sports, clubs, and after school activities, too!

I have had great experiences send both of my children to Garfield. While the school is in need of some updates. The teachers and the staff are wonderful with the students. As in my family there have been multiple generations that have attended Garfield. In his attending Garfield my son has decided that he want to be an engineer; he was taught the many aspects of robotics, engineering, computer science, and leadership along with many more.

Ive sent all 3 of my kids here. Its a great school. They show they actually care about the students and helping families. Recommend to you.

The staff is very supporting of the students & works to help the students realize their potential. The Leadership program works to support the STEM part of the school with drones, rockets & 3D printers. The program has many after school programs, such as archery, drill, color guard, PT just to name a few. The Leadership program has a curriculum that not only teaches students how to become tomorrows leaders today, but works to build a community that supports each other.

I went here for 6th and most of 7th grade. This was my favorite middle school out of the 3 that I’ve been to and it wasn’t t even hard to pick a favorite. I really really loved the STEM program they use. ALL my teachers were really amazing i miss them. The school was pretty clean too. I did hear that there’s a lot of bullying there and maybe that’s something the staff and administrators can work on to stop it.

My son is a very quiet and emotional child yet he has been getting bullied since he started at this school in the beginning of 2017. If you are on the fence of sending your child to this school, keep in mind BULLYING is a horrible problem here that seems to get worse as time goes on. I am in the process of taking my child out of this school. But the nurse is wonderful!

The school is great itself not at all badand the food dosent have e.coli

The principal basically only cares if youre using your phone or you have your hoodie on he doesnt care about bullying, grades or anything like that and thats just str8 facts 💁💁

Sad that a teacher is allowed to bully kids and continue to work there. I guess they are more important than our children. I refused to let my child stay in that class to be abused. Someone should really look into that teacher. She has NO business teaching!!!

Well my daughter attended school thereShe did very well and seamed to enjoy the teachers did very well with her grades.

Horrible my daughter was threatened told she was going to get stabbed by another student which other kids heard and confirmed STAFF Full of _ My daughter feels like she shouldve never said NOTHING and thats not ok at all If it was the other way around my daughter probably wouldve been expelled

I hate it because my son went there and teachers kept saying rude things behind his back like you are never going to pass or your not good enough
