I have worked here for a year now; this school is incredible. From it’s kind and friendly workers to the advanced curriculum I’ve truly been impressed. I am so grateful to work here and look forward to many years in the future.

LESS THAN 1 RATING:As an educator I was invited to present very special animals on their science night. My program is free to schools but dependent on summary done by the administration-in the case Christa Peal, who had agreed beforehand to provide what we needed. She provided NOTHING. Upon numerous phone calls and emails I am still waiting 4 months after the program.Totally UNPROFESSIONAL conduct. I will NEVER go to Western Heights Community School in NM with anything to provide anythog or for anything again. I am also advising the Herpetological Society of NM which was there with support for this school.Terrible experience with Christa Peal.

I absolutely love this school! Both of my sons attended since they were three years of age. My oldest is now 13 and my youngest is in 2nd grade. The staff and teachers are very welcoming and make us feel like we are a part of their family. We love helping at school functions and just being in such a positive environment. My youngest son absolutely loves school and is happy to go everyday. I could not have asked for a better school to have my children attend. This school really is a blessing to have in the valley❤️

I love working here. I think its a great place to build godly relationships. The staff i work with are so supportive and encouraging every single day. Each teacher i encounter work hard to make the kids are learning well and thoroughly spending as much time building relationships with them. God certainly has a purpose for all of us here and its a great place to take your child if you want to invest your time in their education.

I love this place! Just by being on the property, you start to feel and understand the heartbeat of it. You know the director and co-director have a heart for all of the students that attend here. I have seen so much growth in the center since I have attended. I have had the honor of meeting with the founder, Norma, and hearing her stories about the center and how they started always warms my heart! I know it has had some ups and downs, every place does. Every day, this place gets covered in prayer, and God has always seen them through. LOVE LOVE LOVE Western Heights!!

I cannot say enough about this school! Both my children attended this school and years in between. Even with the years gap between when they both attended the caring nature of the staff remained the same. The curriculum was above average! They both learned so much and loved all the teachers we came in contact with. This is a Christian based school and it really shows, not only through their kindness but the heart for their community is profound! Recommend!!

I have been a part of this school since my brother, who is now a senior in high school, was in 3rd grade. My family and I have formed great relationships with the teachers and staff. My children now go to Western Heights and It is because of this school that my son wants to be a pastor and help children in need when he grows up.

In my opinion, its the best school in Albuquerque. Just wish they had a middle school. But Im so glad to have found this place. My daughter has learned so much here and is way ahead of APS. Friendly staff. They are like family to me. Love them!

My son went here for Pre-K and he absolutely loved going to school. He would run out of the car to get inside. He learned so much; he grew socially, and he loved it. His teachers were very kind and patient. I truly believe in the heart behind this school.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE. The owners of this establishment are hiding the fact that one of their own family members who worked at the facility, Lyric Padilla, molested a 3 year old girl in December of last year. Do not trust these people they are covering up the fact that he is related to them and didn’t even want to bother alerting parents who send their children here instead most of them found out via the news. Most likely Lyric is living on or near the property because they have homes in the area. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! You can look on KRQE and find the article about this situation if you need proof.

I cant say anything about the K-8, but my oldest attended the NM free pre k program and we fell in love with this place. When my second daughter needed preschool, I toured several facilities closer to my work, but nothing felt like it could live up to Western Heights. Even educators at the other preschools talk about how great people are at Western Heights. Dont be fooled by the location. Id drive out of my way to go here, and Ive known other parents who do so as well.

This has been the worst experience with an Administration that I have ever received in my Academic History. on top of their ongoing CYFD investigation for child molestation, I was told, “this is not the school for energetic children”. The director Melissa Padilla has absolutely zero professionalism. She will hang up on you when you are asking questions and she will exaggerate until asked to review security cameras. If you’re looking to invest in your child’s education, this is not the place to be!
