We stumbled upon Life Champ in Alexandria and peeked in at a Little Champ class. Everyone was so kind and welcomed our 4.5yr old to jump in - she immediately joined the fun! We then did a 2 week free trial and worked with Ms. Kristen - who is uniquely special in how well she interacts with each child to encourage them onto the mat, helps them feel comfortable and confident in this new environment, and most importantly she shows them how to have fun! Mr. Jay, the instructor, is the best!! He is great at teaching Taekwondo and the physical techniques. He knows exactly how to encourage the children and boosts their confidence, self esteem, focus, and respect for themselves as well as others. The way he interacts with the needs of each child for their own success is remarkable. Our daughter has been at Life Champ for a couple months now and has been thriving on and off the mat. I am amazed and such a proud mom of her, but also all of her new friends! Watching this class and cheering for all of the kids with the other parents, is the highlight of my week! The flexible schedule at Life Champ is a great bonus. If anyone is contemplating signing their child up - do it! It’s worth so much more than just what you think it may do for your child!

Life Champ is absolutely great! The interaction with the staff are great. My daughter goes for the virtual school age support program and she loves it. Not only is she able to get her work done but also learn Taekwondo and some Korean language. With the pandemic it has been hard but they make it easy. They take temperatures every morning and the facility is always clean. This is a hidden gem!

My son and daughter have been members since little champ age 3 and 4 years old. They are now 5 and 7. They both love the experience. Even with Covid I am so impressed with the zoomCourse integration which kept classes a float with minimal impact. Master Kim is a amazing a real Gem. His daughters also participate. The other instructors are very engaging and have a very positive and caring influence on the kids. I have seen positive impacts on how my son interacts with his toys and also he is a great big brother and helps his little sister with her form. I believe this experience is making my kids better listeners, more disciplined and more. Overall we are big fans of Life Champ!

My daughter started Life Champ in September for the virtual day school program and I could not be happier that we chose to put her there. Between the staff in the morning that helps with the school day to the instructions in the afternoon leading taekwondo class, they are all so great with the kids and genuinely care about each child and their overall progress. The studio is also always clean and well kept. I would highly recommend them!

I have been training at Life Champ with my son and daughter 8 and 12 for a year now. It was recommended to us by our previous school in a different state. We take the classes together as a family. I appreciate the professionalism and passion of the instructors to see all the students develop their character as well as their martial arts abilities. They are great. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. There are a variety of class times offered so we are able to fit them into our busy schedule. My son has been attending for a year now. He loves the class. The teachers make it fun for the kids, especially for younger kids.We had his sixth birthday party here. It was AWESOME! Master Kim is so good with kids and an excellent teacher.I would, and have recommended this place to many people.I can’t speak about the after school program but I see a lot of kids that seem happy in the program.

We have had our daughters attending consistently for the last year and a half. The Staff and Instructors have been kind, professional and treated our girls like their own. My daughters attend aftercare at Life champ. I am so happy that they have an after school activity that keeps them active and develops them mentally, physically, and builds character. Both of my kids (5 and 8) have been going to Lifechamp for almost 2 years and love their experience! It is really well run, and the kids work hard for their goals. This school has been an amazing with my child’s attention span. She is more confident and listens a lot more since she has been coming here. Both of my children (ages 6 and 9) are currently attending the Life Champ summer camp, and they love it! There is always a variety of things for them to do, it is well organized, they have great outings, and most of all, the instructors are caring while also instilling responsibility and respect. Master Kim is wonderful with the kids and we feel so lucky that they opened this location!

Our son has been attending Life Champ since summer, and has really enjoyed his taekwando classes. Life champs on Telegraph Rd is a wonderful facility run by wonderful people. My son loves it and is proud of the accomplishments made through hard work and dedication. They not only teach Tae Kwon do... they teach life lessons about hard work and being respectful among other things.

I love the quality and the team

My oldest son has been attending for over two years. My youngest has been practicing here for over one year. They both really enjoy it. In addition to learning taekwondo, Life Champ also emphasizes being respectful and performing well academically. About once a month they have “Ninja Night“ which gives the parents 4 hours to have a night out.

My kids have learned so much from Life Camps over the years. They are more focused, stronger, and gained leadership skills. They even love the before/after school and summer camp programs

My two Granddaughters attend after school program and rally enjoy it. The program and the instructors are great.

Make sure before you contract, because this is not a short, hit-or-miss program. Without too much pressure, the expectation is high. They work well with families having multiple levels, are very positive, and include everyone. Great childrens enrichment!

We are happy with the impact LifeChamp has had on our 5 year old son. He has more discipline, his more confident and assertive. More importantly he loves the class and his instructors. All of the staff members are really great! Master Kim and Master John are great with the students. They are fun loving and also strict and holds the students accountable at the same time. We started as Groupon deal to try it out for a few weeks and my son loved it so much we decided to enroll him in the after school program. Hi-YAAA and Yes Sir! Are frequent responses in my household. My 2 kids have been coming here for close to 2 years now. It started as just a few classes a week and now it includes summer camps as well.Great location and the instructors foster a very nice and fun environment for the kids to learn TKD. I also like how there is focus on the kids following directions.Finally, its neat that theyve added nunchuk training and escrima stick training too.Highly recommend coming by and checking out this location if you or your family members are looking for a TKD place to join.

My son has trained in Taekwondo since he was 4. When we moved up here and had to leave our beloved school and masters, my son was certain he would not find a new place to call a TKD home. We checked out 11 schools in the area and did trials at 3. It wasnt until we started at Life Champ with Master Park and now with Master Woo and Instructor Jon that we found a great fit.Our son has ADHD and is on the spectrum. The instructors are kind but firm and have the perfect balance of playful and serious during class. They were immediately encouraging my son to his full potential as a student of Taekwondo. Right from his first trial session with Master Park I knew that this experience would be different. My son begs to come to class and is always so mad I limit him to 3 or 4 days a week! I also love that they are respecting my sons choice to test less frequently and ensure true mastery before he moves up. If all you want is to get a black belt in a hurry and rush through....go elsewhere. To enjoy a true training facility where the staff obviously cares for their students success and wants you to truly embrace that Taekwondo is a whole life experience, come here!
