From the day I went in to do an interview with the director, I new this is the place to be working. I saw kids learning and doing activities that I havent seen before. I love how everyone is family orient with each other. If you have kids this is were you want your child to be. Come on in and join the family of Xlpor of Allen.

The reason I’m giving this place one star is not because of a lack of any essential items or staff, but due to some events that I experienced while going there.I believe I was 9 years old at the time and my first few weeks there were good I got along well with the other kids and most of the caretakers were kind enough to us. I made a couple friends and we played together, and so at first everything was fine, but then when school started around again and they hired a new caretaker for our age group as our previous one who we liked left.I won’t disclose any names, but I still carry a burning anger towards this person and it still irks me to this day that I didn’t stand up for myself. The new caretaker suffice to say treated us like dirt, not in the sense that she withheld food or anything like that, but in the way she verbally treated us speaking to us in a condescending tone all the time and yelling at us if we did something she didn’t like.At one point we were all just playing around and having a good time when all of a sudden she shouts “WHO LAUGHED ?” We didn’t know what to say as no one had done anything wrong. It wasn’t until after she threatened to have us all turn off our games and make us do something else that I stepped up and said I did it, because I didn’t want my friends to lose their games and do something boring. When I walked over to her she immediately asked me the same question as to why i laughed, I didn’t know what to say because I hadn’t laughed, and if I had laughed WHY was I being punished for it ?I told her these things and that I had stood up because she would’ve taken our games away otherwise and she had sounded really scary at the time. After I said this she proceeded to yell at me for demanding that she change her tone and banned me from doing anything fun for the rest of the day, I was shocked but didn’t say anything and just quietly went off to do something else, at least my friends got to keep playing though. The next day, I believed that the whole thing was over and went off to play with a friend of mine when I heard her shout out my name. Once again I walked over and asked if something was wrong, she shouted at why was I playing games and ordered me to another room away from everyone else, it’s as if she was out to get me I was a mix of angry and sad, but I never said anything. For the rest of the year I tried to always be polite by complimenting her and saying hello, but It was useless she continued to treat us like garbage. The only ones who weren’t being treated like we were was the kindergarteners, they were practically angels in her eyes and they could do no wrong, they were untouchable and they knew it whenever they came over to the main room where we stayed they would play around and cause a big old mess, but it wasn’t there fault how could it be ?At one point I was playing fighting with this girl and brushed past her leg with a chair, she decided she had had enough and told me she was going to tell OUR caretaker not theirs (the one who actually disciplined them somewhat) and ran off to tell. Nothing happened for a few hours, so I thought she was just trying to scare me, and I was which should never be the case when it comes to places like these. But then all of a sudden my caretaker was shouting my name and I was punished for hitting the girl with a chair TEN TIMES, my parents were called and I was sent to the office were the whole story was relayed by the caretaker and the girl, but they never asked about my story and why should they I was the 9 year old who had just hit a little girl with a chair ten times, who needs evidence or a other witnesses when you have word of mouth from the “victim”.A staff member who I guess was an administrator asked us to show her what happened step by step and where I “hit” her and when I did she told me I could’ve broken her bone and that I was lucky I hadn’t otherwise I would’ve been given a worse punishment. When the administrator asked the girl why she had gone to our caretaker instead of hers she started crying and said she

Both our children have been attending Xplor since Winter of 2015. We cannot be more thrilled with their level of professionalism and such attention to detail when it comes to our children. Our 4yr old son was diagnosed with ADD/ODD this year and has had some difficulty adjusting to school. Melissa has been incredibly patient and supportive during his transition and adjustment. The entire staff, especially Emma, are friendly and always providing encouragement and support when needed.I simply cannot say enough about Xplor. We see them so much more than just a day care provider, they have become apart of our extended family. With appreciation,Kimberly, Miles, Ava, Preston & lil Zoe!!

Both our boys attend Xplor in Allen. We have a 7 year old who attends their summer and holiday program and he loves it. He gets so upset if I pick him too early. He also attended the preschool from age 3 until he graduated Kinderprep :). Now, our 2 year old is at Xplor also and we could not be more pleased. We love the teachers and the ladies who run the school. Ms. Emma is the best. She is loving and caring and knows how to make you feel welcome and cared for. The new director of the school is also great. She gets things done which is crucial in order to run a school. Unfortunately we have to move which means our boys cannot attend Xplor anymore and we are really sad about it. I am not sure how we are going to find a school that meets our needs as much as Xplor has. We will miss you all!
