I have been training at North Texas Aikido for over eight years. The quality of the teaching is matched by the caring and concern of all the students creating a wonderful place to learn and share. All ages, abilities and skill levels are welcomed, treated with kindness and encouraged to learn and progress.

I have been training at North Texas Aikido for 15 years and have enjoyed the teaching from Russ Alvey, Sensei and the caring of all of the students to assist in training for mutual benefit. I trained with Russ Alvey Sensei for over a decade and still train here when I return to the area. I’ve only known quality instruction and amazing people in my 20+ years of experience with NTA.

Currently residing in perhaps the only purpose-built Aikido Dojo in North Texas, if not the whole state, North Texas Aikido has been my home for over 26 years. The depth of instruction, not only from the instructors, but also the senior students, is testament to the school’s dedication to quality continuation of the art.
