We have been going to Akers Academy since 2009 when my oldest daughter was born. The Director Leena Mitchel is amazing. She goes above and beyond to help things work out. She has an approach to child care that just makes sense. There is no corporate line to say no I cant do that. She works with kids and parents to do what is rational and what works not what some handbook says. I am super blessed to have found the second home that my girls have at Akers Academy! We enrolled our daughter in the Alphatetta campus over a year ago after being recommended from a past parent there and WE LOVE IT! My daughter is thriving, happy and learning. The teachers and staff there are PHENOMENAL! They are quick to answer any and all questions and concerns that you may have, and are on top of sharing reminders and information with you. I also enjoy the extracurricular activities offered there for the students (my daughters favorite is dance). We look forward to another great year at Akers Academy! I recommend them highly!

My 2 daughters age 4 and 2 attend Akers Academy and the love to go there. The class room size is good, class rooms are clean. Ms Leena and entire staff is friendly and caring.

This place is a hidden gem. I found Akers Academy when I was looking for a face-to-face GA Pre-K option for my twins. It was a hail mary pass since the previous school I was enrolled in switched to virtual at the last minute. I was nervous to start my kids in a school that I didnt know much about, but this has been the best experience so far (which says a lot since weve moved around and this is the 7th school/daycare I have had them enrolled in since they were 6 months old). Its like a big family - as soon as they step out of the car, everyone knows their name. They absolutely love Ms. Stacy and Ms. Kasturi. On the weekends, they play school and beg me to be Ms. Stacy. My daughter dresses up everyday just for Ms. Kasturi - she lives for her compliments. The best part is that they are learning so much. They come home and want to show us what they learned and beg to do homework. I wish I would have found this school earlier - it is the greatest combination of a loving environment that also meets the educational needs of their growing minds.

We love Akers Academy! The staff is friendly and very helpful and the teachers are great. Weve had one child go from infant room through Private Pre-K and another who is still there. They send daily updates on what the class is learning and will send pictures. My oldest still goes there for after school program and when public schools are closed during summer and breaks. Fantastic place that I highly recommend.

Akers is AMAZING! Our boys look forward to going their every single day. They have made such a positive impact on their lives and we are extremely grateful for Akers!

Akers Academy has been like an extension of my home for my 2 youngest children. We started with their Pre-K and then enrolled my youngest at age 2 for their childcare. They have always felt like a family environment that takes great care with my children. My middle has moved on to public school but my youngest is now in their private Pre-K and we are loving it! I cannot thank Akers enough for providing a safe environment that gives me the peace of mind that my daughter is safe and cared for when she is not with me. We will miss this school when my daughter graduates. I would recommend it to anyone!

I have two beautiful daughters. They started going to Akers when my youngest at 2 months and my oldest at 17 months. Akers Academy has such welcoming and friendly environment and I am very grateful that I was able to let my children attend there. From the get go I knew they will give good care for every need that my children had. Andrea was very nice to me for that I truly appreciate. Teachers are caring, considerate and passionate people. They provide you with daily activity report and pictures which made me feel like I was there with my girls. Overall Akers Academy is a great place for kids to get nourished, flourished and educated. I appreciate every one of you who cared for my girls.

I cant adequately put into words how wonderful Akers Academy is and has been throughout our seven years here. All the teachers and staff are exceptionally kind and passionate about their profession. Our daughters have been coming here since infancy- each teacher they have had has loved them as though they were their own. Our daughters have been challenged, encouraged, motivated and inspired- and they adore their teachers. Akers Academy is like family and we will be forever grateful for the time we spent with these genuine, caring people.

Thought I would update my review here since it has been a few more years. We have continued to attend Akers with our next two children. We have been a part of the Akers family for the past 11 years. Everyday I count my blessings to have a place that feels like home for my children. They learn something new everyday, and come home with their sense of wonder and curiosity heightened. Their love of learning is evident, and that is heavily based on the success of the teachers! Our family couldn’t be happier with our decision to be an active part of the Akers family.My family has been coming to Akers Academy for the past 7 years....and there is no better place. The teachers take care of my children like they were their own. I never for one second felt like any one of my children was not being cared for with the most loving hearts! All of the teachers make an effort to know me by name, and create relationships with the parents. I feel comfortable and safe each day that I take my children to Akers. My children love the curriculum, and have gained a great foundation for their elementary school education. Akers has truly had a big hand in molding my children into who they are today. My infant is now in the baby room, and I am excited to see how he will progress through Akers as my girls have. If you are looking for a fantastic school that will not only teach your children educationally, but also provide for them emotionally, then Akers is the choice for you!

Akers Academy has been a home to my kids since they were infants. They have been loved and cared for, grown, and prepared for their time at school. Now that they are in school, Akers is always available for after school, school holidays and teacher workdays, and breaks. They even enjoy going for Parents Night Out on the weekends after being there all week. The teachers and staff really love the kids and work hard to keep them safe and happy. Recommend!

This is our first year at Akers and it’s been a great experience in every way. The teachers and the leadership are caring and easy to communicate with. We know our kids are well taken care of and we love all that they’re learning.

Ms. Stacy is excellent. My 4 years old loves going to school every day, learns alot day by day.

After being at another daycare for over two years, I was nervous for my son to go to a new school. Akers Academy has made the transition SO easy. Ms. Maiisha is fantastic! We also love getting pictures and videos during the day, and daily activity reports help us talk about his day at home. Andrea and the other staff up front answer any questions or concerns quickly.

Our infant daughter just started attending Akers Academy a couple of months ago once a week when my wife has to attend classes. We did not need to use a day care for our older kids at this age and werent sure what to expect. Leena was great in helping us feel comfortable with the decision and our daughter has been doing great when she goes. They take great care of her and the facility is awesome. The baby room has a no shoe policy for cleanliness for the infants. Its not part of our regular schedule, but Akers is a huge blessing to have available when we need part time care for her.

My child has been going to Akers Academy for 3 years. She started off in the one year room and now goes to GA Pre-K there. All her caregivers have been awesome, and her pre-k teachers are great! We have had no problems. I researched several places in the area before we chose Akers, and I dont regret that decision, not even 3 years later. In Aug. my child will go to Kindergarden and I will truly miss the all the staff here. They never fail to be kind. They are always on top of their game. They have great summer programs, themed days, field trips, etc. They really are a unique place. If you have any doubt, I would just take a tour there. You will not regret it.

My son started attending Akers over 5 years ago when we were looking to switch him from another day care. We had been attending one of the more expensive (translate: over priced) franchise day cares and experienced high staff and leadership turnover and very poor attitudes of the people who worked at the school. Akers was completely different! The Director, Ms. Mitchel has been running the school the entire time and she hires and retains loving, responsible teachers. The school is professionally ran without being over the top (no uniforms here). The staff are like extensions of our family and our closest friends are other families who children attend the school. For two full-time working parents who dont have close family members to rely, Akers Academy has filled that gap for us. My kids love going there everyday and love to learn. Highly recommend you give Akers Academy in Alpharetta a chance.

My son has been at Akers in Mrs. Elsje pre K program for a year. She has helped him so much over the year. They have been like family to us over the year. I would recommend Mrs. Elsje private pre K for anyone looking to have a great experience.

Akers Academy provides outstanding care for children. My son has been attending Akers for 4 years. He started out in Mrs. Pennys infant class at four months old. I always describe entering Akers like a hug. It is warm and inviting and kid friendly. My son just completed the private Pre-K with Mrs. Eljse. She has many years of experience with an incredible amount of patience and kindness. He is now beginning to read and write. He loves coming to school everyday. The office staff is always flexible and open with parents.
