This place was not crowded at all at 10:45 am on a Monday morning. I think that I was in and out within 30 minutes or so.Girl was chatty and went right to work.I am not too sure if this ace is as busy as it used to be before they moved but it is definitely not as convenient as it used to be to get to whe. Mens haircuts are fine. Womens are not. Pointy & uneven with hacked bangs. I only wanted a trim & a little face framing. This is what I get for being cheap. Itll grow back. (10-08-21)

NOT WORTH IT !! I know its a school and the students are learning but we were not pleased with their service or product. Let us help you save your time and money recommend going to Academy of Hair design. You will get better product, service, and feel more welcomed with the same price. Thank me after.

I arrived with hair down to my shoulders, choose a length from my short side; was worried at first but after it was really good. I like my new look after leaving here, definitely will return later on for my next cut.

I just had my hair cut by student Marley. She did a GREAT job on my hair.Id recently had shoulder surgery, and Marley ensured to cut, wash and dry my hair without causing any discomfort.Marley asked SEVERAL times if I was comfortable and if I need anything.Both myself and my son got our hair cut. The instructor made sure that both of us were happy with everything. We were.100/10 will have my hair cut by Marley again.

Went in for a wash and haircut. The water was ICE COLD. So cold it took my breath away and actually HURT!! Their water heater doesnt work. This is winter in ALASKA for Christs sake!!I spoke to the owner, Danielle. She explained to me that the school is looking to relocate and she hates to put money into repair/replacing the water heater when theyre just going to move to a new place. Well . . . theres no way in hell Im going back to them until they move to their new place and have hot water. Total fail!! I wont be back!!!

They have always been great but this is not the correct location anymore. They moved to the college mall right by the lazy boy entrance. Idk why they havent updated Google yet.

I think theyre better than some of the salons there. The students there are perfectionists (because Im guessing theyre trying to get a good grade) and theyre more attentive to what the customers want. Im very satisfied with my haircut. Im so picky with my hair and sometimes get upset after salons because they never really envision what I want. But the student did an excellent job. I only paid $10 for a haircut, but gave her a $10 tip because I was so happy with it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

My hair is very thick, long, and curly/wavy. I am more than a little picky, and was incredibly wary about having a student try to tame the beast. I finally decided to just give Trend Setters a try, and was very pleasantly surprised. The girl who did my hair (Sarah) listened to exactly what I wanted, her instructor checked her work and made any little changes that were needed, and I got a great haircut for $10. She got a 100% tip. It was that good.

When are you going to open up again for doing peoples hair? I keep calling and its not even ringing. Maybe you guys shouldnt post that your open if your not actually open ethier.

I like this school, cheap cuts at a decent pace. I usually only wait a minute or two, and take 20-25 to get the whole thing done. I only need a quick and easy short mens cut though.The wait can be high in evenings or weekends, so I recommend going at low traffic times.

Im a traveler from the lower 48 as these Alaskans like to call it, and i found this place and have been very pleased. Ive had my hair cut 4 times by 4 different girls and each time was exactly what i wanted. The price is very cheap given they are training. There always appears to be a professional hair stylist near by watching to make sure their students are performing to their expectations. I have no quarrels with this organization. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

If you want to go to a Hair Academy , this is one of the best options in Alaska. I have no idea what they do in the other ones because they don’t know what they’re doing . The other Schools all they want is your money . I had an amazing education at this Academy , the facilities are beautiful also . :)

I didn’t graduate from this school , BUT I got all the support that I needed from them . After you graduate from a different academy , you expect to have the support from your Instructors but instead of that , I got the support from Dennis and the Instructors there which I’ll be very thankful for the rest of my life . I got my Instructors License because they helped me achieve the goal. Thank you Dennis , God Bless you !!!

I havent gotten anything fancy like color done here yet but i got a haircut and my stylist Maria (i think) was really nice and asked me a ton of questions to make sure she got it right. Great to find a place so cheap where they do a great job, definitely coming back.

Everyone is always friendly that works there. Ive gotten some of my best hair cuts here. You cant beat a hair wash and cut for $10!

Used to love going here. I support people trying to further thereselves. I know the owner and his sons. But I tried to get my hair colored and was told to come back 4 hours later. They say they don’t take appointments I come back and am told they have no “room” for me but they don’t take appointments hmm. I’m honestly irritated.

I went there yesterday with my mom and we both had haircuts, I had a great experience while she didnt really like her hair at all. I always try and ask for someone whos a little bit more experienced and had forgot to ask for the same for her. I loved my stylist although I cant remember her name, she went over texture ideas and what I use on my hair, and the different options that would look good with my hair type and face shape. I intentionally asked for a haircut I kknew wouldnt look good on me and she came up with options for me that would work and advised me the haircut I wanted wouldne look so great on me but she could give me the things I liked about it. She was professional and even was nice to my two year old sister who wouldnt stop crying because she wanted to come see me. She let her come back engaged her and was very friendly. I lost my phone in the lobby and the staff took the time to call it and help me look for it!! My mom got someone who just started cutting hair and although her hair cut was a little bit shorter and the top was nothing like how she wanted it, my mom still told her it was great and tipped her. I think the best thing to do is ask for a more experienced person if your nervous or just dont want to worry about your hair. I like my moms cut I just think it needs to grow out, so overall our experience was great!

They always treat me with kindness and respect, ask for my feedback and give me requested advice without making me feel stupid or unwelcome like Great Clips does. And always a better cut!

Good place for haircut but their time to haircut prediction is bad, ten mi its turned to be 30 minutes of wait then became 40.

Cheap cut some times a long wait on weekends people are friendly.

Couldnt have asked for a better experience at a hair salon.
