Thirty years ago, I finally built up enough courage to stop by the taekwondo school near my office in Green Mountain. When I crossed the threshold, I had already had 2 major back operations and had only been out of a full back brace for a few months. My doctors told me that I was disabled, and my right leg was still numb. It seemed like a crazy idea, but every time I drove past the Green Mountain School something called to me.After all this time, I am still proud to be a part of the organization, albeit in Ireland. I have stayed this long, not for the belts, but for the chance to learn taekwondo in an atmosphere of integrity and respect. I now walk a little taller and, no longer consider myself disabled.Whether you are looking for a class for your child, yourself or as a family activity, you will be well served to check out one of our classes. Tell them Karen McHugh sent you.

I have two sons that attend this campus. They both really enjoy coming to their classes. The environment is supportive but also stresses discipline and respect. It is a great mixture of both The tournaments are a great way for the kids to practice what theyve learned in an environment that isnt all about winning, but making sure they are always doing their best and growing. My sons have thrived here. If you or someone you know have been thinking about trying a martial art, come for a free class and see for yourself.

Our 6yr old son recently started attending CTI and we are extremely impressed with the instructors and program in general. Everyone weve interacted with is patient, professional, and great with children. In addition to the obvious physical growth, we have been impressed with the emotional growth and increased level of maturity our son has shown in the short time hes been involved with CTI.

I absolutely love my experience with the Colorado Taekwondo Institute. Since I joined, I have experienced so many positive health benefits. Being an adult, I love being in class with other adults and having other adults with the same experience and level. I have gotten better flexibility and overall fitness. I love getting a full body workout without any extra equipment. The class are fun and every instructor seems highly trained and experienced. I highly recommend anyone to give it a try.

Looking for that chance to connect with your children? Look no further. Colorado Taekwondo Institute offers you the opportunity to truly bond with your child while getting a great work out. As a father of 16 year old twins, I have enjoyed weekly workouts with my children.Im also a middle school teacher and watch many students struggle through school not because of a lack of education but a lack of family support. Are we truly serving our children by dropping them off at soccer practice while we run and get coffee? Our time with them is limited. Make it count! What an amazing family story to say that you and your child went through a Taekwondo regiment with the ultimate goal of earning a blackbelt. Model that dedication dont just talk about it.Become part of their lives and write your family story as a family and it starts with Taekwondo. Stop being a spectator in your childs life and start participating. Join Colorado Taekwondo Institute.

My two kids spent a year with CTI Westminster. We had a great experience. They dont give you the high intensity, high pressure sales pitch that many of their competitors do. Instead, they give you an honest assessment of their program in a professional and friendly manner. Once in the program, the instructors are great. Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Morgan, and Mr. Evans have high expectations of the kids, while maintaining a fun atmosphere that kids enjoy. Master Albrechtson runs a very organized program as is always approachable if you have questions. If my kids ever decide they want to resume martial arts, we will definitely be going back to CTI.

CTI is a great place for kids. Our 2 kids have been in classes at the Westminster campus since they were 2 and 3 years old. The focus not only on the physical aspects of martial arts, but on the aspects of the mind that allow one to compete in the ring and in life are among the teachings there. The head of the Westminster campus, Master Eric Albrechtson, is especially good with the younger kids; always finding ways to get them excited about keeping their minds and bodies in top shape.

At the age of eight my daughter started showing an interest in trying out martial arts. She was quite shy and afraid of everything so my husband and I agreed that martial arts could be great for her. I researched a lot of local places but was sold with my first impression of the Westminster Colorado Taekwondo Institute. Kelsey, a fellow student, told me about the school with such passion and she was so sweet and genuine. I knew I wanted my daughter to be around such positive role models who felt so passionately for the art.Now eight and a half months later I couldnt be happier with the Colorado Taekwondo Institute. My daughter is so proud of her accomplishments and has really come out of her shell. She looks so forward to class and the tournaments have boosted so much self esteem and confidence in her. I owe a lot of this growth to Mrs Sally Morgan who has been fabulous as a teacher and role model. I cant say enough good about this place!THANK YOU for helping my daughter grow in such a positive way!!!

I have loved this school and the organization since I started over two years ago. The instructors gave me balance and structure from the beginning and helped me gain self confidence in many areas of my life. I have seen kids and adults alike achieve goals and become stronger mentally, physically and emotionally. The kinship within the organization is unlike any I have seen anywhere else. I highly recommend the Colorado Taekwondo Institute to anyone of any age who is looking for a healthy atmosphere to learn, and an encouraging way to become stronger and find a balanced form of self defense.

My 5 year old son became a student of the CTI at his elementary school and fell in love. I like it because it teaches discipline, focus, self control and is also a great way to release energy. He can practice at home, by himself and does not have to have special equipment. It is a wonderful avenue as well for kids who may not strive in the team environment.

This school has provided such great structure for my daughter and she loves ever minute of it. The instructors are the best, they are friendly and easy to work with. There are such great activities that the school offers outside of the classes which makes it feel like family. There are tournaments, camps and expos. They also do things together like picnics and sleep overs/lockins. The black belts go and train in other countries. There is no shortage of things to do and never does anyone feel left out or bored! I love this school, it has done such great things for my family.

CTI has been a life changing event for our 2 boys. They are doing better in school and are more respectful in general. They love going to class, tournaments and expos. I would recommend CTI to any family who would like to help their kids gain self respect, confidence, fitness and anti bullying techniques. We let our kids try many sports but Taekwondo is one activity that they will be doing throughout their childhood and hopefully into adulthood.

My 9 year-old son is small yet athletic. We researched many different types of martial arts and their locations. We settled on CTI and have no regrets. We have been extremely impressed with the instruction. My son has learned self-confidence, a good attitude, respect for himself and others, and enjoys attending the sessions. And the sessions occur after school, which is a huge plus. My sons instructor, Ms. Smith is fantastic and takes the time to teach the correct technique, and she is always willing to come in early to provide one-on-one instruction. I highly recommend CTI!!

WOW. We have been part of the CTI family for 5 1/2 years. We have 2 boys that each started at age 4. First, we have been blown away by the incredible, caring teachers. Each student truly matters as an individual to them. They are invested in the kids success. Secondly, this has improved our sons abilities to focus and take direction in other areas like school, music, and different team sports. Taekwondo isnt just about going to classes. It is about teaching individuals to live a positive life of excellence in all areas: school, work, home, and on the mat at class! We would like to give a special shout out to our first instructor, Master Albrechtson, and our current instructors, Mrs. Morgan and Mr. Greaves. They are outstanding role models and we are grateful to be part of this great organization. Thank you to everyone for your dedication to our family.

My son joined Colorado Taekwondo Institute when he was 8 years old. He learned discipline and respect along with learning about the Korean martial art while getting into fabulous shape. No sitting on the couch watching TV! He graduated from high school as valedictorian which Im sure was in part due to his taekwondo training since it taught him how to follow directions, pay attention and learn while having fun. He is now in his 30s and still loves taekwondo. It molded his life to be an outstanding young man in his community. Highly recommended!

I dont think that I have enough wonderful things to say about CTI. Erik Albrechtson was so wonderful with my child. She now moved up classes and is in with both Hope Morgan and Sally Morgan, and the experience is still just as good. When you are there, you are treated like family. The transformation I have watched in my daughter has been so amazing. Her confidence level has skyrocketed. I love that she does not only learn Tae Kwan Do there, so learns so much more. They work with the kids on character as well - integrity, responsibility, respect, self worth, and so much more. My little girl is a bit of a tom boy who was struggling to find her way in the world, and this is a place where gender doesnt matter, everyone is exactly equal and it has been more than perfect for her. I am so grateful that we wandered in one day, and we have not looked back since.

My son began taking Taekwondo at Colorado Taekwondo Institute 18 months ago and has loved every minute of it! In fact, he cant get enough of the martial arts training, of the personal and physical challenges and of the caring staff. While attending CTI, my son (and entire family) has benefited from:1. the incredible staff2. top quality skills training3. education and support in maintaining high values and morals.4. awareness of caring for the community we live in.5. being challenged mentally and physically1. The staff at CTI has been nothing less than amazing! the skill and the experience of the instructions has provided top-notch instruction for my son. I love how the teachers take the time to point out the finest of detail to help my son be the best he can be. They pay careful attention to all the students so they can all see improvement and growth. It is also obvious that they care for their students as individuals and take the time to learn more about their life outside of Taekwondo.2. My son is very competitive and enjoys the competition at tournaments. He has never placed less then 2nd and has mostly received 1st place trophies and metals. It is important to him that his skill training be the best in the area to ensure the continues success at tournaments. We are very impressed with the top quality skills training.3. Colorado Taekwondo institute is intentional on teaching high morals and values to all their students. My son has benefited in all areas of his life from this. Specifically, the five tenets of Taekwondo are behaviors that are developed and expected from their students. Those tenants are Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and indomitable Spirit.4. We are very impressed with the involvement CTI has in the community! They do can food and clothes drives, they collect and donate turkeys, they rally for those in special and specific needs and teach the students to be a part of caring for others.5. It is very important that my son is challenged both mentally and physically. I love how CTI continuously provides him with new challenges every month. Whether it is learning a new form or a new character trait, my son is always challenged to do more, get better and have fun!I highly recommend Colorado Taekwondo Institute to my family, friends and all people who are looking for Martial Arts training.

Almost a year ago my 6 year old sons and I started Taekwondo at CTI Westminster Campus. CTI Westminster Campus has provided me with the opportunity to connect with my kids in an activity which is fun for all of us. We enjoy learning the Moo Sul Kwan martial arts traditions which reinforce our family teachings on the values of leadership, responsibility, respect, and self-control. The program strengthens my childrens ability to set and achieve goals. The tournaments give us a chance to demonstrate the skills we have learned, while providing an opportunity for the kids to practice being a gracious winner and, at times, a graceful loser. The black belts serve as excellent role models of future success for the boys.Master Erik Albrechtson and his staff at CTI Westminster Campus are tremendous. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help you learn. Additional benefits of this program are that the class times fit our familys busy schedule, there are extra summer and holiday camps when school is not in session and the program is competitively priced with other opportunities in the area. We are so thankful a friend recommended CTI Westminster Campus to us.

Our 11 year old son has been attending the Westminster campus of CTI for nearly a year. It really is wonderful to see him actually enjoy exercise and look forward to going to class. Although our son has participated in team sports in the past, he has never received the encouragement to thrive as much as he has from his CTI instructor. Mr. Greaves has demonstrated that he genuinely cares about our son’s accomplishments. He has taught him not only the importance of respect and self-defense but also the meaning of what a mentor should be.Thank you Mr. Greaves and Master Albrechtson for helping our son’s self-esteem sore, enrolling him in Taekwondo was the best decision we ever made. We are proud to be members of the Westminster CTI campus and look forward to many years to come.

We couldn’t be happier with CTI and specifically the Westminster campus. We enrolled our daughter about a year and a half ago for many reasons, among which was a slight bullying problem, and she has learned so much during this time. Her self-confidence has increased tremendously. In today’s crazy world it’s unfortunate that, as parents, you look to find tools to give your children that will help protect them now, in middle and high school, and beyond. What we love so much about CTI is the fact that even though they are teaching self-defense, they do not teach the kids to fight/stay and fight, but give them the confidence to walk away from a troubled situation or the skills needed to provide themselves with an opportunity to get away.An example of the confidence it has given her is that when her school went into lock-down last year, while many of the children were frightened and emotional, our daughter said she wasn’t that scared because she knew she and some other classmates knew taekwondo. How amazing is that, that at 9 years old she was able to feel secure in an unnerving situation! The instructors are amazing and really care about each child and their individual training. The leadership skills that our daughter is learning are invaluable. The instructors give opportunities right off the bat for the children to help lower belts in their training, whether they are one belt above or several, fostering bonds and teaching skills and the attitude of helping others. They do a great job at motivating the kiddos to keep them engaged and excited about the program. The instructors are able to balance a form of teaching that allows them to instruct and correct the children with discipline while doing it in a fun and non-threatening manner. The tournaments, the encouraging words in class, the extra-curricular activities which allow the children to have fun with each other and their instructors outside of working hard in the class room, the summer camp opportunities, are just a few of the things CTI does to keep the children enthusiastic and motivated and wanting more.Thank you CTI for the skills you have given our daughter and we look forward to many more years at CTI and happily recommend them every chance we get.

The Colorado Taekwondo Institute (CTI) teaches students of all ages (adults included) the korean art of smashing with the bare feet and hands, which is Taekwondo. Not only does CTI instruct students in Taekwondo, but also teaches students self-control. I am currently a black belt at the Westminster Campus. I started practicing Taekwondo when I was eight with my dad and brother. It has been a wonderful experience to earn our black belts together as family. I have been with The Colorado Taekwondo Institute for eight years and in those years I have built wonderful friendships with the people in CTI. Taekwondo is an individual sport, but the Colorado Taekwondo Institute is one big family, where everyone is friends with everyone. Another great thing about CTI is that they offer other activities besides regular classes. Throughout the year there are tournaments to compete in, saturday classes such as Lead Team and Masters Club, summer and holiday camps, and symposiums and expos. All of these special events give students the opportunity to learn new things and to meet students from different campuses. What I love about the Colorado Taekwondo Institute is that unlike other martial art schools, it isnt easy to earn your black belt and to advance. In CTI the instructors expect everyone to push hard and give their absolute best at all times. There isnt favoritism and no one can pay or persuade someone for a black belt. Everyone must work just as hard as everyone else. The great thing is that despite having to work hard, the CTI makes everything fun. If youre looking for a family-orientated, fun form of exercise or to learn how to defend yourself or if you just want to learn Taekwondo while making friends and wonderful memories, then The Colorado Taekwondo Institute is perfect for you. I highly recommend the Colorado Taekwondo Institute!
