This school- and the other location in Wheat Ridge- is amazing. The services they provide to kids and families in our community are second to none. The teachers have higher qualifications (college degrees) and more training than teachers just about anywhere. They help with resources for food, clothing, education- anything a family needs. They are compassionate and kind. They have family events and try to engage families as much as possible. To have such a program provided at NO COST to families is truly amazing!

My son is at school here and I love his teachers... They are so amazing... He comes home and tells me what he learn that day and the songs and sounds of the letters of that day... Although they do not send out a email or phone calls for when school is closed let alone a reminder of when they dont have school... But my son loves his teachers Ms.Sandy and Ms.Lori and he loves going to school.

Im sure everyone has their own experience here. My kids love it! Their teachers have been beyond helpful and so had their FSS workers! I have two little ones in the all day Epik class and they love it! They helped with so much from potty training to personal help at home. I love this place!

I am extremely disappointed with the school. A friend of mine had issues with her daughter being bullied and inappropriately touched by a classmate during the two years she attended Jeffco Head Start. The administration did nothing to control, discipline or otherwise help the issues. Instead they said they could move her daughter to a different class because moving the other child would be singling him out. She was ultimately pulled from the school. My step daughter is finishing up her first and only year, thank God. Again, issues have arisen, and not handled. A classmate has bullied my step daughter repeatedly. Shes come home with red marks because he slapped her, among other things. Recently he pushed her into a wall & she no longer wants to attend school. Theres always an excuse for this other child, but there should be no excuse for bullying.Additionally, my step daughter hit her head hard enough to leave a baseball size lump, and they never called home. They sent a peice of paper home with an explanation of what happened & the nurse misspelled simple words, and it wasnt even an accurate account of what happened.I will forever steer everyone I can away from this place.

The admin staff, teachers and fss are incredibly friendly, considerate and helpful. They make my childs enrollment a breeze and are incredibly insightful. Fresh meals, safe and secure facility, teaching my children who both have speech delays to talk and learn to use the potty. What an incredible gov funded school. Please ignore xtinas comments below which is ignorant and unreliable. Yes, they do home visit to make sure that each family are well supported and they provide services and aid if you need one. They will help and direct you to job searches, food or whatever a family are in need of. Of course they will report the school if your child is neglected/abused because they are there to protect children from any bad actions a parent or family member might inflict. But they are not instigators. And yes, they do mental screening if your child might have problems with depression, anxiety tt they might faced and parents are not aware off. The school focuses on enriching children and families, thats why they are extremely thorough but not prejudice in their system.

Please dont send your kids here! What a crappy place! The teacher arent teachers at all. Remember this is state subsidized daycare so the teachers dont have to work, because the government will pay them either way. They do home visits. Which is a nice way of saying they want to come snoop around your house so they can call child protective sevices when they see something they dont like and I cant even begin to imagine why they do mental health screenings on kids this young. My kid didnt learn anything and I cant wait for this school year to be over so she never has to go.

The teachers were all amazing and patient, and the staff is extremely helpful. Ive had a rough year and everyone there was trying their best to keep it from affecting my child, inviting my step kiddos and baby to events and supplying me with resources to help me manage the situation. They were just as helpful with my fiancé when his two attended.I wouldnt hesitate to refer to Miss Sandy, Lori, Cheerie, Isi, and Jean as friends.Unfortunately, my last school year included a group of horribly mannered parents. Im assuming this is probably not generally the case, as the staff seeme
