Every parent is rightfully skeptical of anyone watching their children. The staff currently at LPL are extremely compassionate. They have earned our trust over the two years that we have utilized their services. We confidently bring our child there and plan to bring our newest when it becomes necessary.

As a parent, I couldnt have asked for a better place to take my sons. My oldest has loved every single teacher hes had here. They truly care about the kids and go above and beyond to make each day special for all of the kids. They are welcomed and loved and it is a safe and happy environment full of amazing teachers and management. I love this village I have to help me raise bright happy compassionate kiddos.

After an exhausting search we were very lucky to find a spot at Little People’s Landing. Our son started here about ten weeks ago and he has been ecstatic every morning we drop him off. His socialization skills along with his sign language and speech have grown immensely in these past weeks. We would recommend this care center to anyone looking for an educational environment where all the staff truly love their kids.

Do not put a deposit down unless you are sure you are going to need childcare. I cant speak to the quality of care provided, but I paid $100.00 to have an infant spot held for me. I ended up not getting the job I interviewed for, and I let the facility manager know I wouldnt need care during the time frame that I had planned. I asked her if I could get my deposit back and she told me that they keep it to ensure my child has a spot in the future. Weird policy I thought, but okay. Fast forward to now, (which I completely understand is six months later) and I have secured employment. I was told the next opening they have available is in 9 months. So what was my $100.00 deposit for if it didnt hold anything? The woman on the phone said, well since we didnt hear from you we booked your spot. This is not true at all. I spoke with the previous facility manager (Kendra) almost every day for two weeks while I waited for an offer. I was assured that my deposit could be used when I found employment. I know they have a new manager now, but what a mess. If this is how they do business here Im happy to find something else.

My son has been attending Little Peoples Landing since he was 3 months old and I really appreciate all the care and attention the staff have given him. There are teachers I dont know who know him by name. Ms Mindy and Ms April in the infant room are great! I think Ms Mindy is a baby whisperer. . .My son practically leaps into her arms! He just moved into the 1 year old room and is getting to know Ms Dani and Ms Natalie. I love the Kid Reports app! They send me pictures and updates throughout the day which was so great when I was just going back to work and anxious about him. Now, I get to see all the other fun stuff he does all day! We havent had Ms Sam or Ms Hannah as teachers but they are so sweet and I can tell they care about all the families at LPL.

My daughters been at Little Peoples Landing since she was 4 months old. The teachers there have contributed greatly to her growth and development in ways that only people dedicated to the health and well-being of my kiddo could do. Teachers especially who have really touch my kids life are Miss Hannah, Miss Sam, and Miss Natalie. She cherishes them all and they have really helped me in staying consistent with what theyre teaching her and what I can continue to teacher at home using an app where I have access to all of her daily activities. They often send pictures of their day. They also do a lot of holiday-themed things as well as parents night out once a month which is a great resource for those of us who just need a night out. I highly recommend them.

Weve been at LPL Arvada for 6 years - every teacher knows every child in the school, when you walk in everyone says Good morning! to the kids and the same when you leave for the day. We love Ms. Mindy, Ms. Danni, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Hannah, Ms. Sam, Ms. Kristin and so many more - they take great care of our kids and teach them so much! Ms. Kendra is a great new director. Were very happy here.

We LOVE LPL!LPL has been nothing but a LOVING, SAFE, & EDUCATIONAL place for our toddler to spend his days. His teachers LOVE him and he LOVES them! Our son looks forward to going to school and often does not want to leave. He has learned sign language, sharing, and how to be a friend. LPL also gives us updates throughout the day on what he is up doing, pictures too! I never worry about him while he is there. Oh, did I mention they do parents night out too?If you are looking for the perfect daycare, look no further.THANK YOU LPL!

Horrible, unsafe, uncaring staff, distracted teachers....wouldnt recommend it to anyone. My son went there 2x a week and was only on his 3rd week. On a Thursday I picked him up, and he immediately told him that several other older kids, dog piled on him, hitting and scratching him and that the teachers did nothing. He had marks all over him, including scratches that took off the top layer of skin on his hands. The front desk person, said the director was gone already and would have her call me immediately. Mind you no one even called to tell me that there was even an incident and because blood was reached via the scratches, they should have filed an incident report, Colorado law. Well FOUR days go by, finally Tuesday morning I call them...the director says she has not idea what I am talking about, no one wrote up a report, no one even told her to call me, supposedly. So Tuesday my son gets picked up from school and taken there, I head there at 6pm to pick him up. The parking lot faces the playground. So I pull up and am watching the kids....I quickly notice that there are several other kids, that have my son cornered and are throwing wood chips at his face. I stood there and watched along with another parent for 3 long minutes, while two other teachers sat, with their backs to the kids, One entirely with her back the playground, offering no supervision or even kids within eyesight, and did nothing. Finally I yelled at the kids to stop and my son to come to me and the other parent was just as horrified as I was. I went inside, furious, told the director whos first words were, oh we just talked to your son and the other kids about the incident the other day, at this point I explained about the one I just witnessed. She said shed talk to the teacher, they took my son back to the playground, to point out the kids and thats it, sent him home....no apology from the teacher, no accountability at all, no assurance that it would be handled differently or not happen again. And of course the next day, I thought maybe Id hear something from them, nope. Granted my child will never return, but their unprofessional and uncaring attitude is revolting and results in a very unsafe place for all the children. Would not send my pet rock there, much less a child. Uncaring, un-empathetic staff and yes, I did turn them into the BBB and state.

Our older daughter comes home from LPL excited to talk about her primary and floating Angelfish-level teachers: Mr. David, Ms Jamie, Ms Marissa, and Ms Alyssa. Ms Shannon, Ms Shelly, and Ms Sam, too. She has moved out of Ms Dani and Ms Hannahs room, but she loved to talk about them, too!Our younger daughter is currently a Tadpole, Ms Mindy, Ms April, and Ms Avery, Ms Jessica, and Ms Shelly are SO caring and attentive, I dont worry about her at all. Theres great communication about the Tadpoles via Kid Reports.Every staff member knows all the kids and greets them, regardless of their primary class assignment. Its really nice to see that awareness, plus knowledge of any applicable sibling relationships, too! Our Angelfish loves and Hannahs haircuts, too :)My star rating is 4 because there has been quite a lot of staff turnover recently, which is always a little uncomfortable for parents; the movement of the close time from 6:30pm to 6:00pm impacted us, too. And, the Kid Report utilization drops off as the kids get older. I also would prefer two-way communication via Kid Reports, its currently only a one-way (LPL to parents) stream. My husband and I would also prefer that the before-school care/elementary students were separated a bit more from the all-day preschoolers in the mornings. Mainly due to the wide age spread of that admittedly pre-instructional time.

I started taking my first child to the Arvada LPL in October 2011. At that time the director and assistant director put me at such ease enrolling my first child at 11 weeks old. There have been a slew of phenomenal staff that have worked here over the years. There were a couple years that I was concerned about leadership but I love the current director and assistant director. This location has never been short on phenomenal staff who love and care for both of my children. What always surprises me is how every staff person knows the name of both of my children- even if those teachers arent in their room. Ms. Mindy, Ms. April, Ms. Dani, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Hannah, Ms. Kristen and everyone else is so kind. They work hard in a field that doesnt often get recognized for the important work they do.I knew my first child would be well cared for here and its clear now that my youngest is as well. I know Cam and Ro are having the time of their life!

My son started at LPL when he was 2.5. There were highs and lows but ultimately the center was not able to maintain a good director. He was in kindergarten and they did not pick him up from school. We gave them time to talk to us and rectify the situation and not only the director not call us within 24 hours of the situation but corporate never reached out to us. There are good teachers there that genuinely care about the kids but there isnt sufficient support from corporate so if thats what you are looking for I wouldnt come here. Its unfortunate because there isnt a lot of selection of childcare in Arvada and they could really stand out.-As an edit to this review- the response from the owner never actually sent ME an apology or responded to our requests for contact. I would still steer clear of this place. For school age children there are other options!

My son has attended Little Peoples Landing in Arvada 5 days a week since he was six weeks old. He is currently four and in the Otters classroom with Kristen. All of the staff are super supportive and provide a wonderful environment for learning. For all the years he has attended this school, we have not had one negative experience at all. Hannah, provides haircuts for a fraction of the cost you would pay at a haircutting salon and they are always great. Thank you to the director, Kendra, to Sam, Hannah, Kristen, David, Larissa, Mr. John (the fixer of the school). They are all great people, patient people, who have put up with my little guys antics for these last four years. The playground is also very cool. The preschool kids go on tons of field trips. This is not like a typical child care center, they learn, explore, they schedule activities like a Christmas program, the family luau, there was even one where they rented out an entire rec center swim area just for the Arvada families. They have a halloween carnival in the evening. I mean tons of stuff year round. I wish I could name everyone in this review who have gone above and beyond for not only providing the best educational experience but for creating pretty much a second home during the week for my son. There are no words to describe how thankful I am to all the teachers in the past and present at this school who have taught Mason over these years. He is so prepared for his first year of Kindergarten with everything he knows from their preschool program. If you are looking for a safe, supportive, and superb learning environment then chose the Arvada Little Peoples Landing. I urge you to call and schedule a visit. You will love it!

My youngest son started at LPL Arvada in 2009. He was always well taken care of and the staff was always aware of any needs for him. I did not need childcare for a few years but when I needed it, I went back to LPL. I have such trust in this school. The director and the staff really know what they are doing. Thanks LPL!

My four year old is showing signs of emotional and verbal abuse. I have never written a review online before but I want to make sure parents are warned so no other child has to go through this.First off, they set your child up for failure. They have a thermometer type system where your kids name is on a clip and goes on whatever behavior they were for the day the top is best of course and bottom is lowest. They actually start the kids in the middle of this thermometer. This means when your kid walks in the door to start his or her day they already are telling them they arent good. The assistant director is so cold I cant believe she even wants to work with children. We only had our four year old son in this center for four weeks. Due to the change and his ADHD he was having some behavioral issues. Instead of talking to me as a parent and figuring out a behavior plan (like educated adults would do) they instead wrote him up for every tiny thing a little boy does on a normal basis and exaggurated like crazy. My son was constantly coming home saying things that he wouldnt of learned anywhere else.A week after I told them he has ADHD and to be patient with the change he came home to tell me that hes not normal. When you walk in and ask about your childs day you have no idea which teacher he was with because they all just throw them in there and deal with it. They send you a calendar home to make it look structured but when you ask your kid if he did learn about what was on the calendar its not the case. The teachers are young and have no knowledge in children at all, its like sending them to a 13 year old babysitter day after day. What gets you, and as a parent makes you think its a good place is how structured and nice it looks. You feel like its clean, they have field trips, calendars of events, nights where they will watch your child and they list themselves as an Academy.Just because they have money to spend and a nice security system obviously doesnt mean its a safe environment for your child. You will feel like you have no idea whats going on.One of the teachers when we got there was from my sons old daycare that he had just left. She was there shortly, quit, went to a different daycare, came back to our old one and now is at Little Peoples Landing. This was all within a few months. That shows you how the staff are.One of the women on a day that I picked my son up secretly told me that she doesnt know why he has these issues with the other staff because she doesnt have them. This is just showing that the staff talk behind eachothers backs as well. Were starting to find signs of possible abuse after leaving the center. Hes saying things about himself and how bad he feels about himself and is even wetting himself which he has NEVER done.I really hope all parents take this review seriously. This place is completely nuts. Do not take your children here.
