Hiring Kathleen to choreograph our first dance as husband and wife was one of -- if not THE BEST choice we made when planning our wedding. I would do it all over again, a million times over. Not only was it the highlight of the wedding day - we received endless compliments from our guests on the dance, which itself was incredible and nothing we could have ever organized on our own - but it was my favorite/the funnest part of our wedding planning process...we met 4 times to rehearse the dance and each time was a blast! Kathleen is so nice, talented and patient, as neither my husband or I were very good/fast at learning a choreographed routine. Highly recommend!!

Kathleen was such a pleasure to work with! One of the few things my husband wanted for our wedding was a choreographed dance and we are so glad we found I Do Dances! We had 2 songs - one slower and more traditional, and the other upbeat and fun. Kathleen perfectly created a dance that suited our music and our personalities. Even though we had a small budget for our wedding, the dance lessons from Kathleen were well worth it! We did not know how to dance AT ALL, and after 4 lessons we looked like pros. Everyone was amazed and we got so many compliments. Kathleen was a blast to work with, and a true professional! She was organized and never wasted our time. We were so impressed with every step of the process and how quickly she put together a custom dance for us with our quirky song :)

For my bachelorette party we had a pole party and it was AWESOME! The vibe of the studio is chill and with the lights down low anyone can feel comfortable dancing. Kathleen is a wonderful and entertaining instructor and host. She is good at corralling chaotic brides-to-be and their entourage in a relaxed/fun manner. We were all new to pole and we all learned the dance and did great! Kathleen is skilled at meeting people at their level. To anyone looking for a memorable bachelorette filled with fun and laughter Kathleen is your woman!In addition to my bachelorette Kathleen taught my man and I a dance for our first dance in two hours! It was a super last minute thought of mine (I wouldnt recommend being last minute) but with limited time she accommodated us and helped us pull it off! We had a sweet little dance to show off and Im so happy we did! Learning a dance was a fun way to connect with my partner and again, Kathleen is a patient and effective teacher!

I can NOT say enough good things about Kathleen. My husband and I had the hardest time agreeing on a song for our first dance - I wanted something romantic but fun, and he could only come up with songs from video games. We finally settled on Orange Colored Sky by Nat King Cole (yep, still in a video game) and I figured we would awkwardly sway to the music for an uncomfortable 3 minutes and then eat cake.Kathleen managed to choreograph the perfect dance, complete with dramatic spins, dips, and lifts - and we could actually do it all in just FOUR LESSONS! I was convinced we each had two left feet, but our first dance has been the first thing our guests mention when reminiscing about our wedding now almost a year later. Who knew we could actually dance??Kathleen was fun, professional, and helped to turn what I was worried would be a dull, ordinary first dance into the best part of our wedding!Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Kathleen choreographed the first dance for our wedding and we had a blast! She was great to work with and accommodated my dance background (and my now husbands absolute lack of dance background) to make each lesson accessible and fun. She took the time to capture the feeling of our song and translate our relationship and personalities into the dance. The dance was a surprise for our families and we received many compliments. We surprised all of our family and friends with the dance that Kathleen choreographed for us and they had no idea that we had a choreographed dance. Please hire Kathleen! For yourselves, for your guests, for the fun. We chose Kathleen because well, shes amazing obviously. Also because she has an incredible ability to fit your music and dance to you. Paul and I are not dancers by any means but Kathleen listened to what we were trying to do, listened to the song we chose...and in the end, the dance looked and felt like us. I still dont know how she did it. Not only that, she gave us the tools we needed to be comfortable and actually enjoy doing this dance! Our guests absolutely loved it (and really, anything that isnt a three minute sway is appreciated by guests). The rehearsals were fun, practicing was fun, the performance was fun. I Do Dances does dances and you should too!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! When I first began looking for dance instructors online, I was immediately drawn to Kathleens website and her message about a first dance. I was already inspired and hadnt even met her yet! She continued to surpass my expectations throughout the entire process. My fiancé and I knew which song we wanted for our wedding, and Kathleen choreographed a beautiful dance to perfectly accompany the music. Will and I had very different learning styles, and Kathleen was able to figure out how to teach us both in different ways. She is a delight to be around, and her smile and energy is infectious. Our friends and family were quite impressed with our first dance, and the entire experience well never forget.

Kathleen was energetic and fun to work with. My dad and I were very nervous and had so little time to prepare a wedding dance, but Kathleen made it seem like it was possible! When it came down to it, of course we messed up a little but just kept on going, and our good instruction allowed us to pick back up by memory and complete the dance. We had so much fun working on it that now, even after the wedding, well continue trying to perfect it. Kathleen was supportive throughout the whole process, including making an additional video of a tricky part to help us work it out.

About 6 months before we got married, we decided that while we didnt want a highly choreographed first dance, we also didnt want to be swaying back and forth like two 8th graders. We reached out to Kathleen, and she was able to customize a package for us. Over the course of about 3-4 months we had 10 lessons and discovered we really enjoyed dancing together (were hoping to continue going to classes in the future). Kathleen was easy to work with and really listened to what we wanted and completely delivered. She made us both feel confident and explained everything in a way that could really be understood. We would definitely recommend her to anyone whether you have experience dancing or not!
