We had a very pleasant and productive visit to your Asheville store on September 20; 2020. We were trying to get my wife’s 50 year old guitar in shape to give to our granddaughter for her 16th birthday. Jon Lauterer was both pleasant and knowledgeable and had us on our way in 20 minutes with our guitar re-strung, tuned, and playing beautifully.Thanks to Jon, another generation will get to enjoy “Grammy’s” guitar!

They replaced a broken violin string for free with the string purchase and took the time to provide additional recommendations for maintenance and care of the instrument. Great service.

An excellent shop. The staff let customers browse the shop without freely without pestering them and are very knowledgeable and helpful when asked for assistance. The prices are good and the stock is of good quality and varied, there is none of the throw away stuff there. I brought an Alvarez guitar and got a 30 percent discount on an already good price, plus a free Guitar Bag.

This is a great store, with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I asked several questions and didn’t feel like I was bothering the sales associate at any point. They often times have great deals on their gear, to the point where I came in for one thing and left with another cause it was too good to pass up. All around it’s a great store, definitely support the local community and shop here!

I went in to Music and Arts to purchase some music. I was dubious at first considering the reputation this company has for customer service.I have not had the experience of purchasing instruments with this M&A company but my in-store experience could not have been better. A gentleman named Rick helped me find vocal music that I was searching for and never made me feel rushed or pressured. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Class act. When I went to check out, another young man, (I think his name was John) checked me out quickly and was very friendly. The team there was very professional, knowledgeable, and the store was beautifully laid out and clean. I found myself wanting to buy more stuff just because the store looked so nice and the staff was so easy to work with! I will be back to purchase more vocal selections as well as stuff for my music students

Great guitar and amp prices.

The staff was very helpful, friendly and patient, in helping us purchase a digital console piano for my wife and daughter to take lessons on. I was pretty clueless about musical instruments, but we got a great piano for a great price, and best of all, they love playing it and are getting quite good! Im thinking about getting a guitar for myself, Music & Arts will definitely be my first stop.

I went here to find some small music-themed stocking stuffers and had a great experience! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They sell more than just instruments, and I found some cool musician FunkoPops and notepads with music notes on them. Highly recommend!

Do not get your horn repaired here! I paid roughly 200$ to have two valves unstuck and my tubas thumb ring reattached. While the job is functional it is one of the ugliest solder jobs I have ever seen with excess solder all over the finish near where it got reattached and damage to the finish from what I can assume is the blowtorch they used to prep the area. The thumb ring was also attached at slightly the wrong angle and they left a dent on my first valve tubing.
