My son began taking violin lessons from Alex 3 years ago and has enjoyed the one-on-one lessons as well as recitals and camps. He started virtually from scratch and is now playing Bach sonatas and partitas. Alex explains technique clearly and thoroughly and shares his knowledge of different genres and historical relevance, which has given Devin the ability to play many styles and develop a deeper appreciation for music. Id highly recommend Alex for violin lessons!

I have taken lessons at Music Academy Asheville and The Rock Academy since 2008 and I Love It! This is by far the best music school in Asheville! They offer private lessons on any instrument and in Rock Academy you can learn to play in a band and perform live at area venues!

The Music Academy Asheville & Rock Academy has been the best experience for me and my daughters. The director(s), staff and instructors are the kindest, most enthusiastic people. They help in all aspects from lessons to instruments to camps. The atmosphere is great for learning and fun. This is the place to be for your aspiring musician, mine love it!

Had a fantastic time at the 10th annual Give to the Music Benefit Concert! The kids performances were amazing and Joe Lasher was fantastic! What a performer!!!! Looking forward to next year!!!
