Not worth the money. Unprofessional. Please dont not sign the contract with the center.

I have sent my kids to kumon in conyers and never had any issues but since moving I had to find another center to sign up at. I decided to send 1 son this time to the cascade location with the owner Nicole. Ive had several issues with the owner and my sons level of learning but the last and final string was when the covid-19 happened and they closed the center for several weeks. My job has closed and I was dealing with issues from unemployment and could not get a dime from any place. I asked the owner if she would be able to work with me on the last payment and I could playnitn2 weeks later. She then replied if I did that for you then I would have to do it for everyone else. She said she had employees to pay even though the center was closed for several weeks and no child was attending class sessions and no teacher were going in. I totally understand having to pay employees but Im not the only one sending my child to kumon as well as I only asked for 2 weeks because my account would go in negative and I still had 2 kids to feed and being a single parent who doesnt get help from the dad makes it harder, especially when were going through this pandemic. The I owner then replied that she is still helping my son, he picked up work packers from the center. LolThats not helping, them going to class 2 days a week and the teachers helping them with problem areas is helping. So we dropped the packets back off to the school since that was one of the many excuses to why she couldnt wait 2 weeks for my payment.She was in no way trying to work with me but instead gave excuses for everything. Later on she then started meeting with students one on one at the center. In the end this was by far the worst place I have done business with and all Nicole seemed to care about is the money. The whole year my son attended every issue or situation that came up, she definitely made sure she got his payment not that I have ever had an issue paying. I made good money.I would love to see the excuses she will give to this post because she gives alot of excuses for all situations and issues in in regards to anything happening with Kumon except when my son needed help with school work she offered to help. And she would tell ne if he wasnt completing the packets because he basically knew a the work they were giving him. When he took the placement test since he hasnt done that work in years to remember off the back of his head but later on remembered. He ended up being placed in a group to learn material he already knew and wasnt allowed to re-take the test. He was basically doing work he already knew for a whole year so he really wasnt completing all packets like he should have.Anyways, I do not recommend going to this location whatsoever and if your close to another location check their ratings before trying them out.

This center fails to practice professional billing procedures. They require automatic withdrawal from your bank account for payment, which is fine, but do not ever send invoices, statements or reminders about deductions. My son developed some serious medical concerns while in the program and we were told we could take a vacation month and not pay. We were charged anyway. When we did not return after a month, no one called or checked on us but they continued to bill us. You must pay for 9 months before you can withdraw even if you have documented medical reasons for why attending is extremely difficult and not in the child’s best interest. When I inquired about if we were able to make up the time we were charged and did not attend, my question was ignored. When I stated we wish to incur no further payments, my request was ignored (even though we had already paid 9 months) and we were charged twice more. I was eventually refunded for the vacation month and one month of being over charged, but it took a lot of work. It is best to communicate via email so you have proof of the conversation. This center is not concerned about their clients as people. In all the time I was never updated about his progress. Promises were made to discuss it and even in the handbook but it was not followed through. They are very difficult to talk to as you aren’t supposed to go in when kids are learning, but there are no office hours. They also are not good at returning phone calls. It is a shame because south fulton really needs places for students to get extra support. Unfortunately, some people see this as an opportunity to make money instead of to change kids lives. I am very disappointed.

I was also not impressed with this location. I didnt even have the opportunity to use the location. However, after contacting them on several occasions to get my daughter enrolled, I never received a return call and when I had an appointment through their appointment set up, there was no one at the location. I definitely will try the Vinings location, thank you for your suggestion.

DO NOT ENROLL AT THE CASCADE LOCATION! I have used the Kumon system for over 5 years at the Vinnings location with NO problems. I decided to transfer to the Cascade location because of location only. That was a BIG mistake. After 2 months I decided to leave because of very poor service. The owner Nicole was very unprofessional. Her staff is just as bad. Her attitude and the way she talks to the children and adults was truly horrible! Both of my children excel in school. I use Kumon to keep them ahead. I like Kumon and I feel it is a good program. The Cascade location is the worst!!! If you want to attend Kumon drive the extra few miles and attend the Vinnings location.

Amazing owner with wonderful interpersonal skills, and the staff was very helpful with enrollment process !
