I absolutely love this location! The level of professionalism of their students is amazing. The environment is beautiful and incredibly clean. Safety of their clients and students is definitely top of mind here. I can’t wait to return!

The school is very unorganized and communication was horrible. I would not recommend students giving this school money because they do not prioritize your growth for the industry.

I have been attending health and style institute for 5 months and in those months, Ms.Myrie has been so great. She’s an amazing teacher and a great person all around. She understands the each and every student and she helps us to our best ability.

Bianca, Christina, Ms. Friend, Regina and Amanda all made our first time experiences for facials, EPIC! They were awesome from start to finish. I have already scheduled my daughters next appointment with Amanda again and I plan on scheduling my mother, sister and myself for facials too! We love this school. They are truly amazing! Customer review: AWFUL. I dont care if youre saving money, do not come here. I showed up on time for my appointment. I had to wait an HOUR for the student to show up and then set up. She then took over an hour on just my feet, which turned out horrible. By that time I had to get going so I told her just to paint my finger nails. I could have done a better job on all of it. Then the man at the front desk was somewhat condescending, and didnt have enough change for my tip. Overall, I spent OVER THREE HOURS for the worst mani/pedi I have ever had. DONT come here.

I am so glad I chose This location to get my teachers Training. I have had the opportunity to sit in class with two of the most knowledgeable instructors, Mrs.Blackmon and Ms. Myrie, they set the standards for excellence, I want to be just like them,when I finish my program . 😁

I was very upset with this experience! I drove 30 minutes to come get my nails done and this was my first time so I did not know what to expect. The quality wasnt it and Im upset because the purpose was to get my moneys worth, which I didnt. Save your time and money and find a better place. I get this is a school but but it looks like a child did my nails.

So I got a Groupon for a shampoo & trim at this salon without realizing it was actually a hair institute. I was nervous at first because the girl doing my hair (Randi) said that it was only her second time doing a cut. This girl was THOROUGH. Yes, she took her time and I was there for a bit longer than I needed to be, however, she was fabulous, professional and my cut looks incredibly even and healthy. The instructor of the salon (I forgot her name) is the reason why people like that should be teaching. She was encouraging and helpful and I even learned something by sitting there. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely go back.

I am currently a student since June it’s been great! I’ve learned so much andddddd I’ve gained so much more confidence in my work and creativity thanks to the students and my awesome teacher (Caldwell) (07/2019)Update!!! I Graduate within the next two months! I’m glad there is new leadership I feel the new ED will make things better and more organized! They truly work with you! If you’re going for the cosmetology program (1500 hrs) just choose cosmetology. I’m in the SSL program (1800 hrs) and wish often that I had chosen to just keep it straight Cos!!! The additional 300 hours (to me) isn’t worth it. I love the school and my instructors (price and Tucker) they get you state board and real world prepared! I know you might just skim through this review but no matter what school you choose.... Push through so much will happen to make you wanna stay home you literally have to separate these temporary moments from what your end goal or vision is. Go to school trust the process most importantly DO THE WORK!!!!! (03/21)

Came here with my mom this morning, and we had a 10:30 appointment with that was booked over a month ago. They told me once I got here that I wouldnt be able to be seen, because my son was with me and he isnt allowed to be left unsupervised or allowed in the back. I drove over an hour to this appointment. So my mom got her hair done and were here for 2.5 hours, that was only for the cut and wash. I understand these are students learning how to cut hair, but that is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for a haircut. Wont be coming back.

Student Review: In general I think attending any school as an adult can be trying however; if you’re committed to growth and learning Health & Style is a great school. Attending Health & Style has really pushed me to grow and develop in and out of school. We have a lot of different teachers who each have their own unique skills and experiences. I’ve often been able to get 1 on 1 help from my teachers. There is a lot of opportunity for networking as well as skill development. Communicate as professionally as possible, remain positive, and ask for help when you need it. This experience is truly what you make it!

I am currently a student here in the SSL program which is a master cosmetology program. So far i love it, the staff is awesome from admission director to financial aid down to my instructor and classmates. I have been treated with nothing but respect. If you have a problem it’s an open door policy you can talk with anyone of the department heads. Oh and did I forget my Instructor is awesome we are learning so much from her. She is very skilled and knowledgeable and I love how she makes everyone feel special. If you don’t understand something she will work with you until you get it. She’s also the head instructor of Health and Style beauty institute. This lady is the best I know I will go far with her guidance. And my classmates give me so much life. I’m in my mid 30’s and my classmates are all young because I go in the morning. But my girls are like a big family. We have so much fun together. It’s a great learning environment.

I want be going back here anymore. The school does not own up to their mistakes but they want your money.. Yes students are learning but it’s bad when the instructor’s direction fail. i will spend the extra money to let the professors do my hair. On top of that students take hours to complete a service. No sense of urgency what so every.

Faith did a really good job on my hair. The cut was a little uneven, but her friendliness, personality and professional was top notch. Ms. Smith the instructor was very positive and helpful to her students and the clients. Faith is going to be awesome when she branches out on her own.

Im not a student but a client. I went in to get my nails done and everyone was extremely friendly. They even made a same day appointment for me in the late evening which was awesome since I work. Both the instructors as well as the students were very professional. I definitely recommend going if youre trying to save some money but still need to be pampered. Dont let them being a school deter you.

I have been a student at Health and Style Institute for 7 months. My experience here has been amazing so far and I couldnt ask for better teachers and program. I am in the Salon and Spa Leadership program which is teaching me everything about cosmetology but also about the business side. I would recommend HSI to anyone who is looking for hands on training with small class sizes.

I am currently attending the school and I love my Instructor Ms.Myrick... She is very knowledgeable and her teaching technique is amazing. She makes time for the students in her class and students who are not in her class. What an amazing person!!! I love to see her at work... It makes me smile to see someone love what they do and have the nac to teach it so you get it the first time!!!

Actually very disappointed with my experience with this school as a student. I was really excited to get started, and was there for a couple months. Staff was great and friendly. Then I got extremely sick. I requested a leave of absence so I wouldn’t be dropped. From the beginning they state if you are dropped you are still required to pay your tuition. Obviously, my concern was my attendance so I continued to request the leave of absence. After speaking with staff and made to believe everything was good, I get a letter in the mail saying I have been dropped due to attendance. Extremely disappointed, and a major set back to my education and career. But I should’ve known something was up by the way they rushed through enrollment after a single inquiry. I should have done more research for other schools before getting sucked into this institute.

Student review , all do respect to the school I attend but please consider another school , just until Health and Style Institute reaches and 10 year status , this school is fairly new and extremely unorganized when it comes to teachers , in 1 year I had approximately 6 teachers when I was only suppose to have 2 , also skin professionals shouldn’t be taught by master cosmetologist, due to the fact I’m In SCHOOL FOR ESTHETICS!! Cosmetology doesn’t learn the same way of movement the esthetics learn , truly I feel each teacher is great but Not” equipped to teach me about esthetics , I’m in fear I’m going to fail state board because of them so I teach myself , I paid 16,000 dollars to teach my self , that’s horrible , I won’t drop out because I’m almost done but if I could leave this school with my credits to attend somewhere else I would’ve been lefted before they fired the only esthetician in the build tragic .. PS. Don’t go to this school unless it hit 10 years of business . I feel they will be really established by then hopefully - signed a student that is still dealing with this nonsense (the admin is amazing by the way it’s just the way the teachers think they are teaching right )

I came in as a model for a hair cut demo and I fell in love with Ms. Allen. She gave me the best haircut I have ever had. I just graduated from Esthetics school at a different institute but now really want to continue my education to become an instructor. This school will definitely be my first choice. The school was so clean and professional.

Student salons are always great if you need to save, but I would block your entire day off. When you get the right student at the right time it is great. You really want to ask the front desk staff who is best for braids or color before going and getting it done. Negative- They often make mistakes or literally do not show up to school to actually take their appointments. You could be waiting for several hours, as there may be no students to actually take your appointment. Also there are a ton of other places that specialize in skin in Atlanta, do not get skin care from here. Hair is their specialty and that is clear in curriculum and service standard in each department.

I had a facial with Patrice. She is phenomenal. She is professional, sweet, and very knowledgeable about skin care. She gave advice, made product suggestions, as well as tips for @ home care. I will be back soon!

I received a facial by Lisnel Muhammed and she was amazing! I felt so relaxed and my skin is glowing. She was very professional and has heavenly hands. I will be back!

Dont go with a Groupon, almost ruined my beautiful day

I asked for long layers and came out with an ugly mullet. This was a horrible experience and the worst haircut I have ever gotten. I would not recommend this place to anyone. At the front desk, there is a sign saying that all students are supervised. This is totally untrue. I came in for my appt and sat for my haircut for close to 3 hours. The instructor came by one time to confirm with the student that I was getting a simple haircut and walked away, this after about an 1.5 hrs into the service. There was another instructor on duty and she never came by even once. Both came by to see what was going on after the haircut was over and the student had royally botched my hair. Excuses: I was on a lunch break and I didnt see you on the floor. Ridiculous. I had long hair and the student didnt know what she was doing. I ended up with a mullet instead of long layers. There is no accountability and the manager of the school apologized to me for such poor service on all fronts. She said she would fix my hair if I came in but cancelled the appt the day it was scheduled. STAY AWAY!

2 years ago before actually giving myself time to recognize this school I made a comment stating that “This was a great school and they help me through everything “ I made that comment under an instructor asking me to! it is now 2021 that same instructor and many more has left this institution for whatever the reason may be but My Issues have remained unsolved I was put in a situation at this school that could have been resolved if the employees did there job &im only speaking of few of those employee. My financial aid was messed up due to lack of communication and help!! I’m seeking for better understanding on how do I owe a school who lacks to put in information when someone continues ask them to through there time at school to do as ask. Only time I knew if something was wrong with my financial aid was when I went to the office even then everything that I needed to fix weren’t mention or even came about to my attention ! This was very unprofessional !! I didn’t receive any refund checks at all! And when I asked about them my request was either held off or as you see not put in ! It was a lie when they told me information I’m seeking answers to now where put in or either handled and they waited to the very last min when my financial aid was to expire to let me know anything!!! Now they’re trying to have me and my mom fill out application that should have been filled out with a rush!!! I’m pregnant and stressed out! I shouldn’t have to look towards other resources to help me if I had the help at school hopefully someone over this Institute maybe CEO reach out to me immediately

I’ve patronized the Health & Style Institue on several occasions over the past few months. I’ve gotten face and body waxing and facial services by Shanteria Hale. I thoroughly enjoy the experience each time (even when getting a generally painful service like waxing). Shanteria and the staff are always professional and they take their time to provide quality service. They even pay for parking in the parking deck next to the institute too! I’d recommend this business to anyone!

The worst service ever! Actually, I didnt get any service .Scheduled an appointment for Pedi,mani, received a cancellation just an hour before,. Rescheduled,showed up in time and after waiting for 30 min was told by a manager that I might have to wait for an hour or even more! No excuses,no explanations.

Convenient to Marta or validated parking and great price for the services but it will take up to 1 hour minimum for each service so don’t come if you’re rushing cause beauty takes time

I don’t understand how this place could have such a high average review. I arrived 15 minutes early to the appointment. 5 minutes after my scheduled “start time” I go up to the front desk to ask if I needed to add more time to the parking meter (nice way of being like “hey aren’t you going to acknowledge there’s no clients in the institute yet your appointment hasn’t started?”). So I already start the appointment late. The actual mani/pedi area is sad. The chair I sat in was broken, yet they turned it on, so it makes a horrible bassy noise until I turned it off. The student doing my mani/pedi was exactly that, a student. No complaints there. However, my issues with the experience was there was no instructor giving coaching. My pedi took over an hour, and I never saw an instructor. Which I think would have helped the student feel much more comfortable. They didn’t give any cutting tools to the students, so my nails were shaped, but uneven lengths and none of my cuticles were trimmed. Once again, no instructor in sight. I ended up having to leave mid-mani (no paint on my nails) because I ran out of time. Right before I left, the instructor came up and dropped off the students evaluation forms without a word said. I was there for 2 hours and will have to do my nails at home. Very disappointed, but I’m assuming the people who didn’t pay with a groupon got much better service than I did!

Accountability. This school and staff have tunnel vision focus on their students success in and love of the beauty industry. They produce professionals!

Happy Saturday got it again this place remember everybody is learning this is a school where they are doing different things and I did something different its going to settle in with me if youre trying to get something affordable go Thursdays they have a half percent off when you purchase one of their products and its like three you get half percent off I prefer hair nails and a good facial now now with the facial guys they really do well on the facial its so soothing they have the machines and everything at a certain time I think around 12 to 1 guys do not try to go in there with five to six different things and expected to be done because they do take breaks but other than that guys do you go ahead kill it enjoy yourself and if anyone is visiting make sure that Georgia AKA also Atlanta is a place that you get the good quality of enjoying yourself just like any other state and no I want to say again be blessed not stressed and be safe out there guys love peace
