Banneker use to be a good school but now they are just SORRY 😡😠. This is my daughters 12th year and it has been all bad. They fix the outside to look real nice, but in the inside & the teachers, they are just so SORRY 👊😠. I will NOT Recommend this school to anybody. Glad this is my daughter last year. They really need to get it together. I didnt what to even give them this one star 🌟 but I guess, for the outside.

Despite what people have said in the past Banneker has been improving. The crime rate in the area has gone down and the new principal at Banneker is really cracking down on misbehavior. The new JAMBA program gives students with interest in the business a chance to follow that interest. The schools outside is very neat and well kept. And the school is investing money on improving their students education.

Im not happy with the lack of response this school has for student issues. Leaving voicemails and/or emails doesnt seem to go anywhere when your child is struggling with a class and the teacher isnt helping. Im seriously considering looking into other options. I know its a large school but the students education and success should come first.

Im rating as a 3 because I have no first hand knowledge of the situation at the present time. However, I do know Banneker was once a School of Excellence and it was great academically as well as all around experiences. I truly believe the decline in status was intentionally orchestrated by the powers that be. They couldnt allow a public high school located in the middle of a predominantly African-American community excel in this manner and the best way to halt its success was to rezone. Check it out. Do some research. Banneker was not always the way it is said to be now.

My sister goes here and shes having lots of fun! Banneker may be a little ghetto but if you do what youre supposed to do, follow the rules, and just worry about yourself, youll have a very fun experience!

Banneker High school is a wonderful family oriented school with intelligent teachers and staff that care about the future of the students.

This is my freshman year they have made a change they have a 9th grade academy it is amazing in they have more activities and more opportunity this year

Banneker is the worst school ever like they graduation rate low people Barly pass in their school banneker is where fights at and teacher that show favoritism dont go to bannker your transcript will be mest up

I graduated from Banneker High School in 1999. It is a great place for education

They refuse to let my child enroll here even though this is the only school that shes zoned for. My son went here the previous year & the students skip class all day & the school is very unorganized.

This school is ok. I wouldnt recommend it for my child.
