Our son has been a student since age 5 after attending little ninja summer damp and having a great experience. He’s now 8 and has advanced to the beginner classes where his interest in martial arts has continued to grow. He’s learning focus and respect and has a goal to become a black belt. We love KSMA!

Our experience at KSMA has been fantastic. Both of my daughters started off in Little Ninjas for the first year and then progressed onto the older classes. They have been with the school for more than four years now and are on their way to black belt. They have gained so much from Master Beaty and the school - confidence, focus, respect, and balance which has translated well to their other sports. We have had a wonderful experience at the school!

We love coming to Kick Start! Our son started in the Little Ninjas group about 6 months ago and we are thrilled to keep coming. The studio is clean, they are doing a great job with Covid safety and the instruction is excellent. I think the price is reasonable, and more importantly, worth it. Highly recommend.

My 6 year old has been in love with martial arts since he was 3..He could not learn at a school due to his age at the time but I had already begun researching schools & instructors and came across Master Beaty... but by the time he reach the age of 5 pandemic hit..My son was VERY EXCITED at the orientation and Myself , after debating between KICK START and the art of TANG SOO DO and 2 other schools & styles, My decision was finalized after meeting Master Beaty and listening to his ideologies not just about martial arts and self defense, but more so his ethics on accountability , discipline, respect and standards that he has, instills and expects in his students.. My son has been there for 4 months a is living and experiencing his BEST martial arts life...Very excited about his development andgrowth at KICK START under Master Beaty and his staff...!!! Student teachers taught classes more than the “master”. They were young, no enthusiasm, did not know students names. Attention given to the kids who could not stand still (this is very important to this karate place, standing still), no positive praise given to the children following directions. Not a single “good job” was every told to my 5 year old. I brought this up to the business owner that “mansplained” to me my opinion did not matter to him and kept the $145 for the 4 lackluster classes my kid attended.

Our family absolutely loves Kickstart Martial Arts. Weve tried other martial arts studios and werent pleased with any of them, for various reasons. So when we came here, we decided to start with a couple of weeks of summer camp. Our kids absolutely loved the camp and so did we. So we decided to move forward with a full year of classes and we havent looked back! Master Beaty offers to superior training and top notch customer service. I love that communication is always well conveyed and that he truly cares about the students. We hope to be a part of the KickStart family for a long time :-)

I was a student there and became a black belt. If you go there it is a big commitment. Make sure you’ll follow through with it. It becomes more fun when you become a black belt and teach others.

Our 5yr old son has been thrilled with his experience at Kick Start Martial Arts. We bring him every week to attend classes with the other children. It has been an excellent experience since we started a month ago. All of the staff is helpful and friendly. Absolutely the best! I loved how the instructors separated and created 3 small groups according to the belt colors. The instructors were all attentive to each individual, making the lessons personalized. They were all confident in their craft. Even though Mr. Beaty was not present today, his presence was there through the instructors and I am sure the parents experienced the same energy. Kickstart Martial Arts is nothing short of amazing and I am very thankful to have them welcome my son as a returning student. Rashard joined Kickstart at the age of 5, left shortly afterwards and returned at the age of 10. I knew to search for Kickstart Martial Arts again. Rashard loves the class and is always eager to return. He says 2 sessions per week is not enough! The facility is beautiful! Spacious, well organized, clean and well lit with bright lights. The parent’s seating area is private and enclosed with a huge glass window to witness the lessons and minimize noise to create a quiet environment for those needing to catch up on work, make phone calls and even relax after a long day. WiFi is available, along with nearby restaurants and coffee shops all within walking distance. Not only take my word for it, but I invite you to stop by and take a tour 🙂

I have two children at Kick Start Martial Arts (KSMA). My 12 year old daughter was among Mr. Beaty’s first group of students. She started at age 5, earned her black belt two years ago and over the years, she has become a highly confident pre-teen. I have noticed positive changes in my 8-year-old son since he joined two years ago. All martial arts programs emphasize self-control, discipline, perseverance etc. What sets KSMA apart is: Mr. Beaty strives to instill all the above qualities in his students plus building character, confidence and leadership skills. Higher ranking students as young as 9 years are given the opportunity to teach beginner classes. Mr. Beaty balances his approach to discipline. He is so tough when a situation necessitates it, but he is able to show his soft side too. Occasionally, Mr. Beaty invites professionals to conduct anti-bulling workshops. I highly recommend KSMA.
