Being the first graduating class, we had a lot of pride in our school. We were proud to be an Aurora Trojan and felt we were the best school in the area. The teachers were very supportive and we had a lot of teen dances and activities.

I attended ACHS from, 87 - 88. At the time, it was rated as one of the top 5 high schools in the nation.The education I received there was great! We had 1600 students, an awesome principal and vice principal, and a wonderful staff of teachers and other employees. We had a lot of sports teams (which were all successful from what I remember).My time at ACHS was some of my most favorite memories of high school. :)

I graduated from Aurora Central HS in 1976. I gave the school 5 stars because thats the way I remember ACHS; it was a great place to go to school. I was on the Silver Boots drill team and I dont think they even have Silver Boots there anymore. We had school pride back then. If I had to rate the school today it would get one star because I am appalled at the way this school has been allowed to go down hill. This area of Aurora is now gang riddled and crime infested. It is sad to see this old part of Aurora neglected. I would not walk around in this neighborhood in broad daylight now.

I nevver been to this school but the comments and ratings are so much more positive than HHS

I was enrolled during the time no child left behind act, and the kids were out of control. Violence, gangs, guns, and stabbings have occurred on or around the campus. The Dean of students are worthless, and encourage punishment for a student, in which than effects their education. Teachers knew the most about the students. Not administrators.

By far one of the schools with more heart of all the schools in aurora with not alot of money their students are dedicate to graduate and adn their sports we were not the best but really good could say the second best in sports in aurora there is problems fight like any were else but if all the students that want to success they do it priority of the schools help students great school !! trojans were many students like me had the best moments of their lives in here ...

This school is an hard place too learn because of all the drama that goes around during the school day. Most teachers can not control their classes because of the kids in the class.
