This not the place if you want your child to be treated with kindness. My daughter took both parent tot and white level intro classes. My daughter is diagnosed speech delay. During a lesson several weeks ago class ended early with her crying and I was told she puked in the pool. Subsequently she started refusing to bathe, having nightmares and screaming no swim and dont want want wash face. Scared when I went into her room. She was having meltdowns with crying and shaking when we drove near the swim building. I emailed and called for 6 days asking for answers. I was not given any answers via email and was only called during my work hours when I stated I was unavailable. When I finally got a hold of the general manager after a week I was told that submersion is part of the curriculum and my feedback was neglected with statements such as we are short staffed and the person who was supposed to mark your child as having a speech delay in the roster resigned after five days and sorry you feel that way. I understand that her instructor has 15 years of experience and has previously worked with kids with disabilities but she was not notified about my childs speech delay. I was not able to get an answer as to how they obtain consent from a child before submerging them or how they might work around water task refusal and anxiety with children. This instructor made a poor choice which now has resulted in intense fear and anxiety with my daughter due to submerging her. All I wanted was a genuine apology and to know that things will be done differently next time but I was not afforded that. Instead the general manager largely focused on staffing shortages and blamed those. I do feel like the instructor perhaps was genuinely remorseful about the incident but it was the attitude of the general manager which ultimately did it for me. We will not be returning. If youre looking for a place that is child centered this is not it. Just because you have taught 1 million classes doesnt mean that you did right by my child.

We have gone to dupage swim center for a few years and recommend it. Their lessons are very good, and in my opinion, much better than that of their competitors. My only suggestion is for them to improve their communication. When you call and leave a message you do not always hear back.

The instructor was good, reception desk and management are a night mare, one girl there she acts if she is blind or we are invisible, she has no clue, rude and I really dread seeing her, the manager if that place has a manager is never there and never returns a call, I think he/she thinks they are managing NASA. Their way with customers once they collect the money is absolutely not acceptable. I have been trying to get my COVID refund for over a year and I still have not, promised many times that I will get it this week and that week, emailed , send messages through the portal , no one cares, a year later and still without a refund. If there is a no star option I would have chosen it.

It didn’t start off good on the assessment and I was for sure my little one wouldn’t want to come back. But after a month with a different teacher she runs to the door every week for lessons. The instructors gave good feedback after her first month of lessons and took great care acclimating her to the water. Friendly staff with an A+ facility.

I have my daughter enrolled in the Parent-Tot classes and she is one year old. I love all the teachers, I think they are all great but Rebecca is by far our favorite! You can tell she loves being around the kids and helps you one-on-one, until you are comfortable enough to be on your own a bit more. It was so daunting at first having our little one in the pool but she is growing to love it more each time. Pricing here is great, and staff is all very friendly. They usually get back to you pretty quickly in terms of answering. I feel like we couldnt have picked a better place to bring our baby!

The instructors are wonderful and great with children. However the front desk staff Is very unprofessional. They need more training on how to schedule classes and deal with customers. One particular girl I am referring to has been there a while and every time I ask her a question she seams clueless. They are the first and last people we see. If it were by business I would make sure that I had a great front desk team because they have the ability to sell or loose the customers.

Been going here for a long time. Havent been in about a yr many of the instructors have changed.. my little guys class was not very engaging didnt do much with him.. also for the prices they need to extend the time to at least an hour to be worth it. Out of 30 mins he got about 10 mins with the instructor.

We were scheduled for a 5:20 evaluation for our son. After registering, we were told to wait in the viewing room, they would come and get us. 15 minutes later, we checked at the desk again. We were now told to wait in the pool area, someone would help us. Its no 5:55 and no one has acknowledged our presence, we are leaving.

My daughter has been taking lessons here for three months now and has made amazing gains (particularly given that she is three). The instructors are wonderful with her, and are always so excited to see her (and she, them). They make the lessons fun and engaging. I have always found the pool and facilities to be clean, and the classroom for observation is great.

I have had my four children in lessons at DuPage Swim Center for six months now, and am absolutely thrilled with our experience here. My oldest has advanced three levels, and my youngest has overcome his fear of the backfloat, which is HUGE for him.The teaching staff is fantastic (special shout-out to Elise, Ethan, Drew, and Dacarlos) , and the front desk staff is always so helpful and friendly.Because of the people at this wonderful facility, my children can handle themselves in water and are prepared to rock this summer’s swim team!

Sparkling clean water. Very flexible scheduling. Locker rooms are clean. Great area for parent viewing. Make-up policy is the best around for swim lessons. We have had more than a dozen instructors between my 3 kids and all but one was great. We highly recommend Jennifer and Hannika.

Each of our kids have taking swim classes here before they could even walk or talk. They are all strong swimmers mostly due to DSC. Excellent facility and excellent instructors. The smaller pool is heated up to bath water temps so even infants love it.

My instructor, Jim, was great. My husband and I both had major fears of the water and Jim helped us through it. However, the women’s locker room is very small and tends to have screaming kids running around in it more often than not. After moving out of state, I’ve been trying to get a refund for months and the office just won’t return my calls. I would caution anyone to be careful about the number of lessons purchased as getting a refund is not a smooth process. I requested the funds for my unused lessons back in September and it’s November now, and despite calling every week the office does not respond.

The DuPage Swimming Center provides great group swimming lessons. I signed by 3 year old son up for swimming lessons and he was able to learn all the proper techniques in no time! Students are able to learn fast since each instructor is limited to 4 children to ensure all students receive the attention they need. In addition, all lessons are offered at fair prices. I recommend DuPage to anyone with young kids.

This place has very bad management! I totally agree with all the other reviews regarding management. A family member takes her kids there and had an issue with the fees. This place apparently credit back $90 or so and after looking through Bank statements there is NOTHING that reflects that we got the credit back in the account. We also tried talking to numerous staff members and they ALL AVOID talking about the subject!!! They say they aren’t going to talk about it and aren’t allowed to do so. So yes, they basically ripped us off!!!

Our almost two year old loves her parent tot swim classe at DuPage Swim Center! The teachers and staff are so amazing and so patient. Weve only been going for part of the summer session but shes already getting over her fears of going under water and floating on her back. The parent tot classes are a good mix of skills broken up by games and songs to keep little ones interest the entire time! We cant wait to see our little swimmer grow in confidence and skill as our classes go on!

1. My family was treated with utter DISRESPECT.We have two boys ages 4 and 5. They are very accustomed to swimming in the pool, they swim well for their age and know how to dive. They were given a warning in a rude manner not to run on the deck or jump in the deep pool. Great, we agreed. When my husband was with the kids on the other corner of the deep pool while I was relaxing in a shallow pool that mean instructor approached me (a pregnant woman) and started yelling at me that if my kids are running again and they dont stop they will be given a time out. As kids instructor with years of experience he needs to learn at some point that it takes more than once or twice for a little kid to listen/follow instructions meticulously and shouting at their pregnant mom on the other side of a pool doesnt help to resolve the situation.2. DISCRIMINATION against international people and against kids. That man dare to proceed to ask me if my kids and I know English well enough to understand what the word walking means. That gentlemen needs to understand that this country was built and shared by people of many races since the beginning and will continue to be that way whether he likes it or not. He also needs to respect the fact that most of those people not only can understand/speak more than two languages but oftentimes hold a Ph.D degree in science from the US institution.3. RIDICULOUS RULES.The next time we went to the pool again new surprises to follow. After we got tired of overcrowded and overheated shallow pool I decided to practice some lap swim in the deep pool with the boys. The lifeguard was immediately after my 5 year old telling him he needs to come out right away unless he can demonstrate to her he can swim freestyle all the length of the pool back and forth. Are you people kidding me? 5 year old? I am wondering how this is ever achievable to learn freestyle long distance in an overcrowded and overheated baby shallow pool in order to transition to a deep pool?VERDICT: unfriendly, unprofessional, pathetic staff representatives.Dont come unless you like to be treated like cattle.

One star rating is too much for this place. From the day we started we were hassled trying to schedule timings that would fit my son and his cousin in a private lesson. Their schedule management is the worst I have ever seen. Staff members have no clue of the scheduling and/or timings available. When they schedule you for time, the call to confirm with a different timing than what was scheduled. On top of that we go to the class to find out that Yamil the instructor had left before my sons class started and the receptionist had to call him to remind him and see if he is coming back to give the lesson. By far the worst place you can take your children to or trust them with your childs swimming training needs. STAY AWAY!!
