The teachers, directors and staff at Capital City Ballet have been all around wonderful. They are responding to a very difficult time with flexibility, grace and most importantly, care for our community. As an adult student Ive had the privilege of being taught by 4 of the CCB teachers, Joseph Cox, Kimberly Cox, Lori Bodine and Emily Karnes. Each of these teachers is an accomplished dancer and instructor who clearly loves ballet and loves teaching. Their teaching styles compliment each other very well, all focusing on ballet artistry, technique and meeting their students where they are. This year they shifted to teaching via Zoom, and amazingly, continue to keep class engaging and challenging, helping to build their dancers skills with feedback and corrections, despite the limitations of remote learning. They even supplied their advanced dancers with jumping surfaces to use at home. Mrs. Cox’s Pilates classes are also wonderful for anyone wishing to build strength and flexibility in mat class or on the reformer. I highly recommend Capital City Ballet, whether you are taking class remotely or in person.

Very dedicated and knowledgeable instructors with professional backgrounds. Small to golden years, beginning to pro they teach everyone.I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for exceptional ballet training.

We couldnt have found a better ballet school! It is the perfect combination of wonderful instruction of form and technique and lots of fun for the dancers. This is a real Austin gem. My daughter has grown so much as a dancer in the last three years and most of all, she found a great community in this school.

Ballet Arts of Austin is such a loving caring and kind place. My daughter absolutely loves it here. The combination of caring teachers, lovely dancers and an amazing community makes this a wonderful place for your ballet dancer to grow. We can’t wait to come back for the fall 2019-2020!

This is a wonderful school for classical ballet. My girls have learned not only great technique, but also commitment, grit, and self-confidence here. This is a school with a kind, communityfeeling, balanced with top-notch instructors. We are so excited to continue our study of ballet here this fall.

I was so happy to find this studio, totally by accident! I was having coffee at Genuine Joes, just across the parking lot, which is nice and big, and I noticed it. My four year old took class with Miss Tiffany in the summer and she wanted to come back. She loves Miss Tiffany and how organized the classes are, because she doesnt like it when there are kids running around going crazy. Ive watched through the viewing window and Miss Tiffany has really good teacher skills. She got my daughter to listen and follow instructions better than I can and with a smile! I highly recommend Miss Tiffany!

This might be a new studio in Austin, but its teachers are not new to the ballet community in Austin... we have been taking Ms. Tiffanys class for four years - and the reason we are still taking classes with Ms. Tiffany is because our daughter has enjoyed this class so much... Ms. Tiffany inspires her young students to love ballet.Just this month they held their open house, in my opinion the most inspiring presentation was the adult group - It made me want to venture out and take the adult class myself!

Ballet Arts of Austin is hands down the most professional and hardworking studio I have ever attended. Students of all ages and skill levels are welcomed with open arms and are taught classical ballet with patience and understanding. I definitely recommend Ballet Arts of Austin to anyone - from first time adult to veteran dancer.

You know youre at the right studio when your daughter wants to leave summer camp early because her ballet class is more fun. We were lucky enough to return to Ms. Tiffany Loos and Ms. Lori Bodine (Benold) after a terrible experience at our former ballet studio. We have been working with Ms. Tiffany for about five years and Ms. Bodine for almost a year and have experienced nothing but kind, compassionate, and professional ballet instruction. The instructors at this studio do not body shame or in any way discourage young dancers. Under their instruction, we have seen our daughters self confidence increase exponentially. Our daughters always call themselves tough ballerinas, and they regularly talk about the older girls at the studio who, as our daughters say, grow up to be scientists AND ballerinas. We could not be more proud of our daughters growth under these two amazing instructors and highly recommend them to anyone who wants a rigorous, professional level of ballet instruction with an added dose of feminist confidence.

I am an advanced student at Ballet Arts of Austin, and I love it. Mrs Bodine-Benold is a wonderful teacher. She gives exercises that allow me to focus on my technique, but that are also mentally challenging. She demands artistry, encourages her students to express themselves through their dancing instead of robotically executing the combinations. Ms. Tiffany is also exemplary. She manages her classes kindly and firmly, which can be quite challenging when there are classes of 16 squirmy, energetic children who are only four years old. Mrs Bodine-Benold and Ms Tiffany are fantastic teachers, and they complete each other in terms of introducing children to the art of ballet. This studio is amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone of any level who has interest in learning.

I am an advanced dancer at Ballet Arts of Austin! I have been dancing for 15 years and have experienced many teachers from former studios, summer intensives, and a couple drop in classes. All of the teachers I have had have given me corrections and improved my technique, however Mrs Bodine-Benold unleashed the passion of dance in me. The fire and drive was lit inside me, and she helped me become the dancer I am today. I am leaving for a performing arts college, AMDA, this fall to study for my Bachelors of Fine Arts Dance Theater in Los Angeles. If it wasnt for Mrs Bodine-Benold, I wouldnt have been given this life changing opportunity. She helped me with my college auditions and she was just a text away for moral support. Mrs Bodine-Benold has been one of the best dance teachers I have had. She deeply cares for her students and would do anything to make their dreams come true. She has deeply impacted my life and not only is she my dance teacher, but she is my role model. She has created a positive and uplifting environment for everyone to shine. I cant thank her enough for everything she has helped me through!

My daughter, Kristjana, has been taking ballet for over 14 years. Her early years were with Ballet Austin and the Milwaukee Ballet Academy. After 6 years with the Slavins, we followed Ms. Benold to her studio, Ballet Arts of Austin. Ms . Benold is an outstanding instructor. Her knowledge of classical ballet technique and her teaching style have helped Kristjana grow as a dancer. While we miss the Slavins, we are very happy at Ballet Arts of Austin. Ms. Benold nurtures her students and has the unique ability to value and understand each dancers strengths and opportunities. She brings out the best in each student! We are also very excited that the curriculum will include modern and other forms of dance., allowing the dancers to expand their dance knowledge. Ballet Arts of Austin is an outstanding classical ballet and dance studio.
