Exhilarating experience. The ride along in the lead car prior to driving a super car myself was very informative and a lot of fun. That allowed me to be familiar with the track and get some great tips on racing. The Austin track is very technical and produces plenty of “Gs” with the twists and turns with its compact design. There are several sections of the track where you can accelerate your blood flow. It was a day of super car overload, great people and solid information. Would I do it again - you bet!

Got a chance to work with Bill today and really enjoyed the experience. He is very professional and experienced and has a true passion for Motorsports. The go-karts were the best that I have found in the Austin area. This track is a much more welcoming and intimate experience then Circuit of the Americas. I will be coming here often.

Our friend wanted to go to K1 Racing for his birthday and we knew of a much better option. We got with his girlfriend, to plan the ultimate birthday surprise: Driveway Austin.Driveway Austin is primarily a motorsports school ran by Bill Dollahite (a professional race driver with over 35 years of world-class racing experience) and his son Scott who heads the instruction department and is a current racing professional. Bill has quite a few accolades and created Driveway Austins famous track by combining some of the most interesting and challenging racing corners from the around the world.It is not widely known about but on Sundays they have Sunday Karting which is open to the public, weather permitting. You can always check their social media pages prior to going to be sure they are open. Basically, you go and sit in on the Safety and Procedure Briefing put on by Bill, he is incredibly knowledgeable and very funny, so its not a dull briefing.Afterward, you head out to the track with a head sock, find a helmet that fits, and jump in a gas-powered racing kart. These bad boys can get up to 60 miles per hour! The guys mark your wristband, start up your engine and away you go to defeat your friends in a race on the specially designed Grand Prix track. Each race consists of a warm-up lap, 10 race laps, and one cool-down lap. If you are the first race of the day you get two warm-up laps! Sunday Karting starts at noon and ends at five.A very fun experience to take friends visiting for the weekend. You can also plan company or group experiences with the same set up as Sunday Karting but with only your group, on a schedule day for 4 hours!Highly recommend!

Went on Feb 16, 2020, first time experience ever in take through a racetrack staff was very friendly I enjoyed it the cars were very nice and my driver/instructor was hands down very nice person and really good driver wish I had remember his name he explained all the details of the Lamborghini and the race track, it was a really great experience and great birthday present for me cant wait to try it again next time.

Had a great time! A bit hard to find with the construction by the highway, but that is not their fault. The track was fun and fast!

Ive been here three times, each for a different type of event. Once for go-karting, once for the Radwood car show, and once for Xtreme Xperience super car racing. Each time Ive been out on the track. Twice driving and once walking. I dig this place. The track is fun to drive. I dont have anything to compare it to however since Ive never driven on another racetrack.

The Xtreme Xperience Austin branch was disappointing. The instructor was too controlling and even grabbed the steering wheel. By doing that he could have caused a high speed collision. The worst part of this experience was the fact that I did not go over 100mph at all! My family came with me and they paid $10 for the Pit Pass and there was no pit or viewing area to watch me drive. I do not recommend this place at all.

Hands down one of the top experiences of my life. We came down during the F1 race with a bachelor party and Bill and his team were absolutely outstanding during our entire day at Driveway Austin. From the moment you get there you can tell the deep passion Bill has for the sport and the desire for everyone to have a fun yet safe time. You learn from one of the best and will walk away addicted to racing. Cant wait to get back down.

I celebrated a bachelor party here during the weekend of the F1 race to race Go Karts and it’s singlehandedly the best racing experience I’ve ever had. Bill and his crew taught me more about racing in that 4+ hours than I had ever thought possible to learn. You can tell his passion for the sport and it comes out in a truly unique and genuine (not to mention fast!) experience that you can’t get anywhere else. Can’t wait to get back!

The company I work for and a partner company spend the whole day at Driveway Austin today. I cant say enough positive things about our experience! Bill, along with everyone on his team, were excellent.If you go, make sure you ask to learn to go 25mph in reverse then J-turn.Most fun Ive had in years and everyone in our group agreed!Highly recommend and cant wait to go back for more.

Got to do the Xtreme Xperience in a Ferrari 488 here. Absolutely fantastic course to get to have this kind of experience. Lots of quick fun turns and enough straight passages to get to a fast enough speed to get the adrenaline pumping. Would highly recommend doing anything you can to get to experience a few laps here. Only regret was my own experience was so short.

I own a manual trans car and took the manual shift course hoping to learn the more subtle nuances of driving it. Scott showed me everything – hes an amazing, patient instructor with a wonderful attitude. I got to learn some stuff on one of their cars and then practice with my own (on the track!). He even spent a little extra time with me and answered all my questions. Highly recommend, great instructors, family-owned business and also super fun to learn skills from a pro driver. Thanks guys!

True racing experience. More like a real racetrack than other places offering a go karts on a track. Lots of speed and technique required to finish in first place.

Top notch venue for performance driving. Pristine track with a number of interesting features; chicanes, straightaways, a corkscrew.Bonus! Thursday nights throughout the summer, it turns into the premier weekly bike race in the country touting many of the best bike racers in the region and the country each week.

I didnt realize how lucky I was to have this place in Austin until I almost moved to another city. The track is more narrow than your typical track, but its SO CONVENIENT. I took the L1 class a while back and it was amazing. Id do it again. Tracking your car for the 20 bucks or whatever it costs is awesome as well. Bill, Scott, Beth, Mike... all of them are ridiculously awesome at being fast and at just being good people.

I learned a lot of new driving and racing skills from Bill. He is extremely patient and attentive. Every time I didn’t do so well, he would give me feedback immediately to help me improve my skills. We also have lots of practices on the tracks. The tracks have different conditions that makes it fun to drive on. There are many curves and slopes to help you master your skills. At the end of the program, we even got to race with a professional racer!! You can tell Bill is truly passionate about racing. It was really fun and a great learning experience! I will definitely go back to take more training. I highly recommend Bill and the school. 5++stars!!

If you are into cars, you have to try the extreme experience, a bit pricey, but worth the money.

Booked a Ferrari 488 drive with Xtreme Xperience. I booked the xperience for 9am (an hour away from home) because we had somewhere to be at 1pm. During the class portion, we were heavily pressured into spending more money and buying the lead car ride. We were told the experience would be a waste without the lead car ride. We waited in the lead car line for 2 hours. We then waited another 30 minutes in the actual line to drive a Ferrari 488. During the ride, my boyfriend accidentally took the car slightly across the striped rumble strip. The instructor in the car said it was no big deal and to keep driving. He finishes 1 lap. They are then told to pull over, and another employee makes a huge scene about how the car is probably damaged, etc. The instructor in the car is like, no way. They take the car for a test lap, and the car is deemed fine. At this point, it is 12:30pm, and they tell him if he wants to complete his 2 laps in the Ferrari, we will have to come back after lunchtime. Because we had already wasted so much time waiting for the lead car ride, and with the test lap, we were forced to go home because we had no time left. We were not offered any sort of compensation OR apology. Really disappointing.

Took the Foundations of Racing course and was one of the most educational yet exhilarating classes Ive taken in a while! They do a great job of combining track time with class time to bring you up to speed on how to race. The instructors were great during the class and during the one on one sessions. Highly recommend it!

Terrific experience. Well worth the money. Spent $100 for my son & myself to race 2-10 lap events. Pre-race, a short safety course was deftly managed (I have raced at numerous tracks over the years including Daytona & Michigan Speedway) sharing the important points that would keep you upright and provide an enjoyable time. Management oversight on the track was top notch. Tips helpful. Nice TLC evidenced. Hopefully, we return soon with a group of sons contemporaries. Adult teens love it. Adults, too!

Tons of educational fun. This is hands down the most technical, smoothest track I have ever raced on. The staff is very experienced, helpful, and nice. I highly recommend you take the driving school!

I took the Foundations of Road Racing class and it was an absolute blast. If you are considering taking the class, DO IT! I have about 20 track days under my belt did the small course for the day. There were two of us in the class, and we had the L1 track to ourselves for the whole day. Great pavement, great track and a ton of fun.

The gokarts track was great! $25 for one 10 lap race or $60 for three races. Im definitely going back.

Its so amazing that this place exists! I stumbled on it with my two children and we met the owner who couldnt have been nicer! Id love it if they offered some running races, but motor sports and some biking races are pretty bada**, too!

I wanted to do the sunday karting with my brother oct 6 I wont be here for his birthday and Im leaving for deployment. Driveway Austin motorsports canceled today because of a heat index over a hundred. What I was confused about is it doesnt get over a hundred today and it gets close to 100 degrees near the time they wrap up for the day. I didnt think it would matter because its texas and 2, the customers have to sign a waiver before even taking a safety class. Driveway Austin motorsports is covered on there end. So I guess they dont feel like working today

This place is awesome! The track is nice and the go karts are incredibly fun, but what really makes the place is the people. I am quite unfamiliar with karting and everyone at Driveway was VERY nice and welcoming. They showed me around the track, gave me lots of pointers, and even took the time to chat about cars. I will gladly give them more of my money. :)

This place is a lot of fun and the folks that operate it are all a bunch of talented and knowledgeable folks. Whether you want to just have fun or really learn something - this place has you covered so long as you are responsible!

I cant say enough good things about Driveway. Everyone at Driveway is always friendly and welcoming and their track and staff is really first rate. I gave a friend of mine a gift certificate for their racing school and now I have another buddy who cant wait to go to the track with me. Ive learned a lot from the Bill and Scott and the rest of the folks at Driveway and always look forward to getting back out to their facility.

I took the L1 course and its the most fun Ive ever had in my car. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in racing.

Booked the Manual Shift Techniques course at $350 for 2 hours of instruction and driving, but they put 2 students in the same time slot so you actually ONLY get ONE hour. OUTRAGEOUS!!! Complained but they claimed that it is correct because there are 2 students per session. That is NOT in the description! They should change it to Manual Shifting Techniques course ( $350 per 1 hour course). It is fraud the way it is written! It is unbelievable how some people can be so greedy and dishonest!

Excellent track and instruction--Austin drivers should consider themselves lucky to have such a great motorsports resource within close reach. If you feel like splurging, rent one of their spec Miatas for your next track day, you wont be disappointed.

Austin Motorsports has it all: Clean facility, smooth asphalt, and friendly people. We came down all the way from Waco to visit, and they did not disappoint.
