What a fantastic place! My 2.5 year old has been begging to go back non stop. It was so nice to finally get a date night without a rowdy toddler disrupting out dinner! Ive only left my munchkin with someone besides his dad a handful of times so it was a big deal for me to leave him and feel so comfortable with it! He also slept like a baby when we got him home so I know he was super active the whole time! I cant wait to bring him back! Thank you ladies for taking such great care of him and making our first time amazing!

Great care at a fair price!!! We use wanna play pretty much full time for my 16 month old! At 16 months there is a definite attachment to mommy, but we have many days where he doesnt fuss when I drop him off - hes just excited to be there! :D I was very nervous about going back to work and finding care for my 1 yr old, but they made me comfortable in knowing they will communicate everything with me! It is a very clean facility (so important!) and they are invested in my baby boy which I love!!! My husband and I and our son love Wanna Play!

Wanna Play Playcare, is more than a daycare, both the director and staff really focus on providing the best experience for our kids. I enjoy how children are developing learning through the sense of play. And theyre still having fun :). The communication with the staff is amazing, they will answer every question. Another great thing is the flexibility they have for working parents. The center is never closed excluding holidays. Overall I can reassure you, you will not find another place like this. Our family loves Wanna Play Playcare. Highly recommended!!!

We took our daughter here for the infant room when she was 6 weeks old. Her entire time at wanna play has been great. She would learn so much being around the other children and the staff here has always been great to us and our daughter. It is even a great way to have a night out if you dont have a reliable baby sitter. We highly recommend this daycare to anyone who needs it.

Our daughter has been going here almost since she was born (shes 3 now) and we LOVE Wanna Play! The staff is great.. very genuine, caring, competent, and friendly. We feel comforted knowing our daughter is safe and well cared for. She really enjoys being there and actually randomly asks me if she can go to Wanna Play. I often peek through the window and see lots of happy kids playing and having the time of their life. You cant beat the prices, and they give discounts if you prepay. They do snacks several times a day as well as dinner, for which you can buy a meal or bring your own. I love the optional fun activities, like face painting and crafts. They also have summer camps and preschool. We have unusual work schedules, so I LOVE the flexibility in hours. And its awesome to be able to drop the kiddo off for an hour while you do some shopping or run errands, or on an evening for date night. I highly recommend Wanna Play.

The caregivers here really care about our daughter. Shes making friends, learning new words and phrases, and having fun -- which is the best part. The flexibility that Wanna Play provides is the best! Some days, we want her home with us, and sometimes she needs more play time on the weekend (and we need to run errands or take a nap)! Its great to have an option for date night.Wanna Play was recommended by a friend and we couldnt be happier. We visited several drop-in places and this one was the most secure, friendliest, and made us feel the most comfortable. Highly, highly recommend.

We absolutely love WP!! My son has been going there for 3 years now as a drop in. I stay at home with him most of the time and sometimes he just looks at me and says Mom, I need to go play with my friends. He loves this place. Just like some of the other parents we dont even get a kiss goodbye before he runs off and is having a great time. Niko loves it here and we love all the teachers here they are always kind and quick to take any advice we may have on how to handle our kiddo and put it into action. We LOVE LOVE LOVE Wanna Play 10/10 would recommend again.

My children have been going to Wanna Play occasionally for nearly two years. Whenever we go they run inside and hardly wait to give me a kiss goodbye. They love the activities and my oldest tells me how friendly the staff are. I really like their check in and out system. We dont have family in town and it is great to have a safe place to drop them off when I have an appointment I need to go without kids.

Been taking my daughter here for a few years now. Love this place. Love the security they provide, the activities, and structure for the kids. Highly recommend it to my friends with kids especially since its close by and more convenient than trying to find a babysitter. Reasonably priced as well, especially if you buy hour deals.

My daughter loves this place. They engage technology instead of ignore it and I love that because so many childcare centers stay away from modern learning and my daughter gets bored. The staff is always kind, courteous and understanding. I never hear yelling from adults, only kids screams of delight and my daughter enjoys the meals and snacks provided. There are physical activities and art projects and my daughters only complaint is when it is time to go. All in all I would give this place 6 stars if I could because they really go above and beyond in childcare and I know that when I take my child there she is safe and happy.

I have been using Wanna Play for about a year and a half. My son started out in the baby room and is now on the main floor. I have been happy with the level of care provided by the employees in both areas. The check-in/out process is very secure and I feel comfortable leaving my son. He seems to really enjoy his time there and the employees say that he plays hard the whole time. It is really nice that they serve pizza on the weekends as my son LOVES pizza. I like that there is a discount for purchasing hours in advance. Overall, we are happy with our drop-in care experiences here and will continue to use. It is great for last minute date nights with the hubby!

My twin daughters have been going to Wanna Play regularly for a year and a half -- both for their preschool program and for drop-in childcare. We are very satisfied and definitely recommend Wanna Play to other families.Ill provide my review in two sections -- for normal preschool days vs. days when elementary schools are out of session (and therefore, those older kids may be at Wanna Play). On normal preschool days, Wanna Play is A++. The staff greet us by name, pay attention to what the girls are interested in, and have been fantastic during the seasons weve dealt with separation anxiety. The preschool program isnt highly academic and your kids wont spend all day in a classroom -- theyll get to run, explore, play, and do a craft or maybe a worksheet that reinforces weekly themes like different animals, seasons, etc. I wouldnt count on this for your only prep for kindergarten (I work with my kids on numbers and letters at home), but the socialization and general lessons are good. The preschool staff are fantastic -- theyre friendly, attentive, and helpful. Younger kids usually take a nap. Kids can have organized play outside (which my kids always talk about) and there are several different environments with fun/developmental toys. When elementary schools are out, Wanna Play can certainly be more crowded, and some of the elementary kids can be rather loud. Those days, Id give the center an A- (still very good). We had one incident when I felt that my kids were slightly lost in the shuffle, but a talk to the staff sorted that out very promptly -- and on our next visit, I could see that a slight change had been made. On busy days, Ive seen the little & bigger kids separated into different groups -- which seems to help. (Though it can still seem loud.) On weekends/weeknights, we dont always see the same staff we do on preschool days (I dont expect them to work all day every day!), but theres always somebody we recognize. Those busy days can sometimes be a bit chaotic, but its never a Lord of the Flies scene, and I feel fine leaving my little ones.Security is strong -- with a locked front door entry and security cameras. On occasion my kids got a disciplinary report (back in those days when toddlers like to bite - sigh), and I was always pleased with how it was handled. The staff were even troopers through potty training (bless them). Theyve been pro-active at teaching good hand washing skills, putting up a signs if there might have been somebody sick (kids are checked for signs of sickness - but any experienced parent knows that sometimes you dont know it when your kid is a carrier!).I usually pack a lunch (the center is peanut-free) or you can get a meal for $4. Pizza is served weekend nights -- call ahead and check the schedule. Kids go without shoes inside (and usually without socks, too), which seems to keep things clean.Wow -- I typed a lot! I know many parents are very selective in choosing care for their little kids. I think youll be satisfied with Wanna Play.

We, and by We I mean my entire family, enjoy Wanna Play immensely. They are reasonably priced, the facility is great, the staff is awesome and the kids absolutely love being there. The one star review above by the person who met Charlotte ONE TIME is completely off-base. From my experience over the past FEW MONTHS has proved Charlotte to be a very loving and accommodating person. The rest of the staff is just as great. The proof is in the pudding; my children love to go and are always disappointed when they have to leave. Wanna Play Playcare fills a particular niche and does so very well.

I do not advise bringing your infant here if it’s your first time experiencing daycare/babysitting. The front staff is completely unprofessional, and not knowledgeable of licensing standards. You are better off paying your next-door neighbor to babysit.I saw children playing in rooms without staff present, This is definitely not the place to leave an infant.

We have been taking our toddler son Abraxus to Wanna Play for a little more than a year. They are a great drop-in day and evening care facility and Im so glad to have heard about Wanna Play. Abraxus really likes going there for a few hours while we go to dinner and a movie, or whenever we need a break. It looks like such a fun place for all kids to be and a lot of different activities for all ages. They are open for good hours on the weekends and even some holidays and have reasonable affordable hourly rates. The staff is so welcoming and they all are kind and patient with the kids. Design and color schemes of the interior are creative and colorful. Austin and every other city needs more places like this. And I can tell the idea here is play-based learning, so if your kids just want to play, you can bring them to Wanna Play.

We began using Wanna Play Playcare a few months ago when I went back to work. My husband and I require a place that is open later than most daycares, because of our schedule. Once our son got used to the idea of school, as he calls it, he LOVES to go!!!! Our sons vocabulary has increased, and potty training has been a breeze since going there. He seems to be picking up a lot from being around the other kids, and the direct contact with the teacher. I was worried about letting him go to to daycare since I was a stay at home Mom and its always just been He and I. But those worries have ceased since finding Wanna Play Playcare! I have recommended Wanna Play to many other moms and dads with a late work schedule, or to those who just need a night out. The late hours are fantastic, as are all the staff!! Thanks for being there Wanna Play!!

My parents have been watching my boys for the summer, but this week they are on vacation, so we needed childcare. After research on the internet, social media and speaking with friends and family, it came down to 2 places.Upon entering the 1st place- I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff but it smelled of dirty diapers and shoes. While touring the facility I saw paper, dust and food all over the floor. As a mom of three I know it can be hard to maintain an immaculate area at all times but this is a business. So I went to facility #2, Wanna Play Playcare! I love that you have to be buzzed in. When you enter the facility there is a door separating the front from the play area. It smelled so fresh and clean! The staff were friendly as well and informative. I toured with the night manager, she was awesome. She answered all my questions and provided an abundance of information about Wanna Play and the owner. Did I mention the place was clean, inviting and well-designed. My boys (7 and 4) loved it! They cried the 1st day I picked them up and talked about Wanna Play the whole ride home. On the 2nd visit no tears but they loved it just as much. It is a little pricey but comparable to competitors, however peace of mind and happy kiddos are priceless. I would and will pay for quality care anytime!Thank you so much Wanna Play for your amazing staff and clean facility!

I am not sure how accurate these reviews actually are because our experience here was not a positive one. We visited several times in hopes that perhaps we caught them on a bad day :( Not the case. Every day was the same. Snack was often just crackers and water for morning snack and afternoon snack. Dry cheerios and water was a very common snack. Rarely saw the same employees during our visits. I looked on craigslist and they are always hiring. As for the cameras the owner sits at home and watches the cameras but the parents can not view them. I work in the shopping complex and often hear the employees out side on their cell phones talking about not being aloud to sit down during their shift? And lastly I would like to say that the last time I took our daughter there she was there for 6 hours due to my work schedule and i picked her up in the same diaper that I dropped her off in. She was dehydrated and crying for her sippy cup that another child had in her hand and was drinking out of. Not a place for us.

I am in love with Wanna Play! I had my daughter at 18 and had to start working when she was 6 mo old, I was terrified of taking her to day care! I chose Wanna Play b/c of their hourly rate policy. My husband and I both work 40 hrs a week so our daughter spends a lot of time here. Shes now 2 and 1/2 (shell be 3 in June!) and taking her to this play care was the best thing I could have ever done. My daughter is so advance in her social skills and she loves people. She looks forward to going and seeing her teachers and friends everyday! It really helps being a young family that has to work a lot to know that our daughter is some where she loves to be and is welcome. Their activities with the kids are the best! They focus on art, reading and learning but not in a school environment (which I am very against) so the kids are able to be kids; thats another thing I love is that they are a play care so my daughter is being a kid instead of having unneeded junk forced down her throat! My daughter learned how to play games, sing songs and she loves to help the teachers take care of the younger kids as well. They are a fantastic daycare and I would advise for everyone to take their kids here. The teachers, blow my mind! They really care about my daughter and are just as much part of our family to her as we are! They help with potty training and even taught my daughter how to wash her hands (idk why but that just matters to me). I was terrified of letting my beautiful little one out of my sight, but Wanna Play Playcare took that fear away! Thanks Wanna Play!

Ive been taking my daughter here since we moved to Austin 6 months ago, because the drop-in rate comes in handy. She usually cries when I drop her off (I assume because shes home with me 24/7), but shes usually having fun by the time I pick her up. Usually. Today when I went to pick her up (she was there for an hour), I could hear her screaming crying. Mamas know their kids cries, and i could tell she was crying for a long time. I checked her out and paid, and stared into the window looking for her, while the lady in the front was taking her time chatting with the people that came in AFTER me, all while I was still hearing my daughter scream. Let me add that when I walked in I asked if it was my daughter crying and she said yes, so she knew this while she was being Miss Chatty Kathy. She finally goes to the back and gets her.. I see her pick up my daughter out of a corner that no one was near by. Sobbing her little 1 year old heart out. While 3 teachers nearby were obviously ignoring her. I understand that they have many kids to tend to, but hire either more people or more COMPASSIONATE people if you all cannot soothe a crying 1 year old, instead just leaving her alone to continue crying. When I picked her up at 11 (her nap isnt usually until 3), she knocked out SO quickly in the car, still heavily breathing, i could safely assume she was crying at least 80% of the time she was there. Needless to say, we will be finding a new drop in daycare, and I would suggest the same for anyone with babies/toddlers.

Overall, we have had nothing but positive experiences with Wanna Play Playcare. First off, the hours of operation allow one to utilize their services on nights and weekends. Great for parents that dont have a typical 9-5. More importantly, Wanna Play is well maintained for cleanliness. The staff is friendly and accommodating and sincere in their efforts to provide a good environment for children to not only play, but learn. Wanna Plays prices are very reasonable and made even more affordable when large blocks of hours are pre-purchased. Besides all that, our daughter loves to go to Wanna Play. She has made friends, learned her abcs and 123s, expanded her vocabulary, and increased her potty usage. Whether you are resting easy or working hard, know that your child is in good hands while at Wanna Play. This place is kid tested and mother/father approved.

We began using Wanna Play Playcare when my daughter was just a few months old and she loved it! I could not be happier with the staff, my daughter responded well to everyone, but Charlette was her favorite. Now we have a son and after being home with him for a few months have decided to return to Wanna Play to assist in the care of my little man, and when we walked in he was instantly drawn to Charlette. My daughter is a little social butterfly and my son is completly opposite. However, he had no problem going with Charlette which made the decision to bring my son to Wanna Play even easier. I was extreamly pleased with all the attention they provied my daughter when she was months old, with tummy time and movement, I am certain my son will get no less and my mind is in complete ease especially knowing that Charlette and Adrian are there. Tahnk you Wanna Play for your continued service.
