After a week of trying to reach somebody and anybody on the staff directory (and all the reviews are correct - NOBODY picks up the phone or replies to emails!), I emailed the new Administrative Director of Transportation - Mr. Bell. I was extremely surprised to see a prompt reply in my inbox the very next day. Within a couple of days he took care of my concerns and resolved the issue. I am hoping that he will turn this department around, which has been carrying a lot of dead weight for all these years. (I also must commend our bus driver - Mrs. Hamilton - who took such good care of my child when the bus broke down and even offered to buy her a drink.)

I am reading all of these complaints and I can see how this is an ongoing issue! I have been calling since 8 am this morning. The time is now 11 am. The reviews are so accurate! The phone does ring several times and someone is hanging up. I am not calling the superintendent of EBRPSS I am calling the Department of Education on my lunch break. I have a screenshot of these complaints. I cant believe this! The EBRPSS Transportation office does not deserve any star ratings!

My wife and I moved to Baton Rouge with our son a little over a year ago. He started kindergarten at the beginning of the school year and since we are a single car family and I work early, he has to ride the bus to and from school. Our experience with the EBRPSS Public Transportation has been an absolute nightmare.Our usual bus driver is the best, always on time, no issues. The problem is that when life happens and she is unable to run her route, the public transportation system can not seem to efficiently pick up in our neighborhood, or communicate to anyone(including the school) what’s going on. I’ve lost count of the amount of days my son has had to miss, or the amount of times that hes gotten home an hour or more late without so much as a phone call.As a parent I don’t feel that it is too much to ask for communication when it comes to a bus full of 6 year old children! To make matters worse, every time it happens I call in to try and get the issue fixed or at the very least make them aware of what’s happening, and my pleas are met with the nastiest attitudes in customer service that I’ve experienced.Fast forward to today, and the phone isn’t even ringing, just going straight to an automated voicemail!!I’m not naive enough to believe that this review will fix anything, especially after reading the countless reviews with the same issues we’ve been having, but I can’t seem to find anyone willing to hear me out so maybe a public post will get someone’s attention. I hope this reaches the right people.

This is the worst place to call to get help on anything.... Can someone teach these folks Communication skills... it don’t make any since to call a place and the phone just ring and ring for hours at a time... it’s sad... LORD GRANT ME SERENITY 🙌🏾

Im disgusted and tired of transportation. The school year just started and the bus havent shown up 4times already. No-one answers the dispatch number. The first day of school it didnt show up. Can someone do something about this and quick I send my child out at 620 am . anything can happen in between the time these busses doesnt show up. The bus for the valley park area . who returns parents calls or email because they shouldnt be paid with our tax dollars if we cant get any results or replies. Do Better !!!!!!

Okay my child is in kindergarten, she has to take 2 buses to get to school every day, my child had summer camp this morning 5/29th the bus didnt show up! Mind yall I had to call transportation for them to tell me camp starts the next day...Im super pissed 🙄not only my child was ready but not informing me that yall wasnt gonna show up really have me disliking this school system because yall not organized, full of shit and lack of communication 💯 so I will be considering in the near future putting my child in another school system!

Worst place the bus driver has let my 6 year old daughter off the bus by herself after coming early twice and the supervisor lied and told me there is not a policy for letting children off the bus

I agree Ladies, I have been calling for hours and no one answers the phone, should we start some type of petition, this is vital information we are trying to get, we dont want to waste your time and most certainly we dont want to waste ours. Please make some changes where people can get the information they are looking for.

We had a problem with the bus last year and had to get in contact with the superintendent, and I was hoping things would be better this year with the new bus driver but its not. She comes so early that its hard to tell when to be out there. Ive talked to her a couple times when does she want us out there but she gives very vague answers like Ill double back around or be out here before this time. Shell never give an actual time. When you called up to transportation they say that they cant help you youll have to talk to your bus driver.

I have been calling for 4 days. Same story every year where no one wants to answer the phone and I recieved nothing in the mail about my son’s bus info and no idea what time to expect him at or what time he needs to be outside in the morning. It’s a good thing Lsu starts almost 2 weeks after the kids do or it would be a bigger problem.

They never put both bus numbers on the card they send in the mail so you have to call repeatedly and the line stays busy and they hang up after it rings for so long. The staff answers the phone rude when you finally get through

The most unprofessional people I have worked with as my children have been enrolled into different parishes of schools. The person answering the phone NEVER knows anything, they dont return calls as requested. The crazy part the cards are sent out for bus pick up site and time, however if its a transfer bus they dont even include the bus number the child gets on upon arrival at transfer. The so called professional talk to you as if your the most uneducated person alive. I have sent emails and spoke to the school board concerning several problems Ive encountered since we moved here. THE ABSOLUTE WORST.

I have never in my life had to associate myself with a team of professionals that are so unprofessional. Being helpful is not the mission. Being condescending and disrespectful definitely is second nature to them. Be prepared to be interrupted, talked over, talked down to, and confused by the lack of willingness to help you solve your problem. This office is not in compliance with the One Team One Mission motto.

It is the worst school bus system I have ever encountered! If buses break down, have a backup and notify the parents! some are not able to take their kids to school. thus the reason we have the bus! I will never trust this bus system again and will be taking my daughter to school EVERY MONRING!

Paulette in transportation not helpful, over talk a person, when a parent is calling in concern of their child where abouts. When every evening its a different bus driver and doesnt know where too drop the child off i even had a driver too let my 5 year old off the next block from their original stop on north blvd. Where its heavy traffic and anything can happen.but if it does. Never can get in contact with a supervisor from what im told none not available at the time i called in the mornings and also in the evenings. Need too get a permanent driver on this route

I’m late every morning cause all they tell me is “it’s coming” my school start at 7:25 and I don’t get there until after 7:30. It’s only sometimes when I can see my friends in the morning before the bell ring.
