This has been a great place for my son over the past year and now my daughter. They both love coming to class and are very engaged. I appreciate the structure and discipline the teachers use with the kids, along with the encouragement and self confidence building they instill. I would highly recommend to others to give it a try.

Family Martial Arts academy is a fantastic place to learn a traditional combat form. Whether youre interested in fitness, learning self-defense, or expression through a physical art form, theres no better place to learn. A fully trained and extensive staff of highly experienced teachers are on hand at all given times, ready to assist you, so youll never be left floundering or without instruction. The classes are challenging but rewarding, leaving you with that feeling of accomplishment every time you finish your session. Finally, this school is a fantastic community. With different people of all ages from various walks of life, youll meet people you can work with, train with, and maybe even a few new friends at that.

I love the attention they give to the kids. The instructors teach great values and respect. My 7 year old listens well and has developed confidence. The instructors give excellent individual attention to every very different kid.

They all got mad after I told them that we were going to get our son out from their supposedly school honest to God in this place, if the teacher doesnt like your child, they would do things so kids can accidentally get hurt or teachers would act very differently with parents or your child. They teachers or sensei were treating our kid and a few other kids very differently, so we let them that our kids was just going to finish that month and no more. They humiliated our child and the man in the office pretended that nothing was happening and didnt do anything or say nothing to them. Then the son of one of the lady who was a teacher was mean to him and other little kids and our son went to the bathroom and this disgusted man saw when our kid went to the bathroom and he stopped teaching other kids and instead he grabbed a big stick and when our child was coming out from the bathroom that sick man pretended he was practicing outside the bathroom and hit our son under his right eye. I went and told the sensei in the office and he with a smile on his face said he was going to talk to him. We left immediately and we were not reimbursement for that month and they charged fir the following month. Very sad to treat people and innocent children that way, it was not just one sensei but all of them. Very terrifying of what their power can do to humble people who try to avoid problems. Look for a better place please

I have been learning from Family Martial Arts Academy since 2007. I have always encountered proficient, intelligent, fun practitioners who have encouraged the best out of me. I cant imagine training anywhere else and doing as well. Amazing for children, adults, and families. Come watch a class or begin a two week free trial and start your journey toward a black belt now.

A great community. I was impressed with the number and the quality of instructors that teach at Family Martial Arts Academy. There are classes for everybody, from young children to their grandparents, with many whole families enrolled in classes. I would highly recommend coming and checking this place out, a very friendly and welcoming place.

My family and I started training at Family Martial Arts about 18 months ago. We love the quality of the workouts, the flexible schedule, and most of all the culture! The instructors are kind and still firm, yet they always find time to laugh. We have made many friends here.

The entire staff at FMAA are really fantastic. I grew up with more than a decade of martial arts training. Ive personally had experience with multiple training styles and schools, and spent a lot of time looking for the right school to introduce my kids. Weve now had three of our kids (From 4 to 15 years old) at FMAA over the last 6 years, and have been nothing short of delighted with the experience each of them have had.Ive consistently been impressed with the schools focus on age-appropriate teaching, the staffs obvious and genuine passion for what they do, the broad range of teaching styles, and their focus on technique, discipline, philosophy, and skills application.Ive also been genuinely touched by the personal dedication the staff shows to their students, taking extra time, far above and beyond time during class, to help when students (kids or adult) need an extra hand.Id highly recommend FMAA to anyone looking for excellent instruction, in a supportive environment, from a team of knowledgable, talented, and compassionate team of teachers.

It was the worse experience I ever had for my 5 yrs old son. Instructors are mean and rude towards kids, And they CALL IT DISCIPLINE, We witness how they misrespect other kids as well, and saw parents not coming back ever again. I asked the teacher not to get any more payments from my Account, because I was not going to bring my son here anymore and he literally begged me not to remove my son from his class that he was going to talk to his instructors and we continue, but it was even worse, believe me those people if you can call him hem people, because animals have more hearts in treating others, but these people were brutally mean to my 4 yrs old son, and one of the instructors has her family members there that teaches other classes, and he who never taught my son’ s class was the brutally mean to my son. I NEVER WRITE A REVIEW, but I have to now, so kids and parents don’t have a horrendous experience like us, as a parent fo your homework and take your time to find the right place for them. My son goes to this other place and he has learned and achieved so much at “Family Martial Arts Academy “ it’s all about MONEY I can go on and on about Why they are ALL about MONEY, but I won’t go into that. Good luck in your search

Our 6 year old son has been taking private and group classes here for over a year. This has been such a positive experience for us. My son has learned so much in this time, self confidence, public speaking, following directions, focus, listening skills, respect, and the technical aspects of Karate. The instructors are wonderful, patient and have really worked carefully with our son so he can succeed. We appreciate what you have all done for us, especially Senseis Paul, Julie and Danni! I would highly recommend this academy.Margie & Petter

I began Martial Arts at age 18 as a Traditional Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do student and currently hold a 3rd degree black belt. I have been practicing Karate, Kickboxing, Jui Jitsu and Tae Kwon Do at Family Martial Arts Academy now for almost 4 years now and still going strong. This is a great school. We have many longterm students and teachers at this school and we compete in competitions together. The sparring classes are excellent and we employ a wide range of fighters. I myself employ hand, leg, spinning, jumping techniques and Cartwheels in my sparring arsenal as well as throws, takedowns and groundwork. This school actually has something worth learning and teachers who are more than capable of getting the job done as well as a great environment.
