Master Nieves has excelled even through Covid Restrictions. He placed the mandatory protocols CDC local, state and Federal guidelines to keep students including himself and staff safe. Master Nieves is an excellent instructor. He is great role model and teacher. My children love going to Karate. It has been a fun, rewarding and learning experience for both of them. My son describes him as very cool and nice. Thank you for helping my children achieve some of their personal goals.

Best decision I’ve ever made was register my son in this Taekwondo school. I’ve see such an improvement in his personality and his confidence. The instructor has an amazing work ethic, very patient but firm with the kids which helps them develop a sense of respect and responsibility while also learning how to defend themselves. I truly love it and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

My 5 year old daughter has been training here for more than a year. She absolutely loves it and is always excited to go to her class. Master Manuel Nieves is great with handling kids of all ages. Not only he focuses on the taekwondo skills of the kids, but constantly encourages them for all round development including academics and social behavior.

My son and I have been taking classes for nearly a year and we have come so far in that time. The instructors are experts in their field and know how to pass on this knowledge to the students of all ages. Also, the owners and staff are really friendly and the Dojo itself is clean and well run. I would highly recommend IMA to anyone interested in learning Taekwondo.

Out of the three Taekwondo facilities that Ive taken my son to try, this place is by far the best place to work with my son. My son is now more focused, disciplined, less shy, and best of all loves to be here. 🥋Master Nieves shows his genuine care for all these kids on a daily basis, and they know it. 🥋The IMA fit class for adults is also great. Master keeps us moving and helps us build up strength, endurance, and speed. 🥋Definitely worth a visit or at least a phone call!!! 📲

My name is Louis Riccardi, I was born disabled as a paraplegic and I am wheelchair bound. Not being able to walk the wheelchair is my way of transportation and being limited to do many activities I heard of International Martial Arts School in Belleville NJ and wanted to try it out, and there I met Master Nieves and Master Elshikh they agreed to accept me and teach me TaeKwonDo. Being in a wheelchair I was very apprehensive at first but Master Nieves showed me respect, acceptance, and has taught me if someone puts their mind to something that they want to accomplish, they will be successful no matter what as long as they never give up. I started my training as a white belt in January 2019 Master Nieves not only taught me TaeKwonDo moves but also taught me respect for myself and others, along with confidence, loyalty and helped put me in a better mind set physically and mentally for my situation. I am now working really hard to get my fifth belt to become a blue belt very soon. Master Nieves trains me 4 times weekly, which I look forward to every time. I have met many fine people here, and have made many new friends I would like to thank International Martial arts school for all they have done for me. I will continue my martial arts training as long as I’m physically able. I strongly recommend this school for martial arts training. It has given me hope for new goals in my life. Our son has been attending IMA in Belleville for a year already. The staff has always been kind and professional. Truly a very nice environment. Xander looks forward to every class and enjoys the activities that he has learned while attending the classes. He has learned a lot of discipline and can’t wait to one day earn his Black belt. Master Nieves has always been very professional and patient with our son. Xander looks up to Master Nieves as a role model.

I am 23, I take the Adult TKD Class and the IMA Fitness Class. As a student of about 2 years, I have to say that I don’t think I’d have gotten as far as I have with my personal goals and as a martial artist without the help of Master Nieves and the energy he brings to each lesson. It’s not easy dealing with children all day and it’s even more difficult when you have to maintain a near constant level of physical activity when doing so, but he is always smiling and always filled with bright, positive energy.I find my classes challenging but not overly difficult and he takes care to cater to the needs of the individual students and their struggles. During the few times I have been privileged to assist with the children’s classes he always stresses safety above all else, second to that is always a positive experience. He is tough on kids when needed and doesn’t sugar coat anything, but is never disrespectful or coarse. No child, if given enough time, will go without improvement in some area of their life. I guarantee it.

I’m a Mom of 2 boys (6and 8 years old) I want the best for my kids and this place is the best! , Master Manuel Nieves is an excellent Master my older son has ADHD and Master Nieves control him very well, my kids love him and this place , I recommend to everyone ,this place Rocks!

Master Elshikh and his team of trainers show great dedication and commitment to teaching martial arts to everyone of all ages .. I recommend anyone looking to learn martial arts to go here , you won’t be disappointed .

Master Elshikh has been a Tae Kwon Do instructor since I met him over 15 years ago. Whether you want to enroll you children or got fit yourself you will not find a better place. I have studied under him for many years and taken my two nephews there too. He is a great teacher, really knows how to work with the kids and most of all cares about his students. If I could give him six stars I would.
