I have license in another country but havent drive on road for almost 5 years, so Sam suggested me to take 6 hours lessons (including warm up and test) based on my first performance on the road.His tips on backing and parallel parking is super helpful, I‘ve learned these two within 15 mins. I think even for a driver with many years of driving experience, it is worth participating in his driving course before the road test. In this course, I learned the parallel parking that has troubled me for many years. He taught me a very simple way to do it. He has very rich teaching and examiner experience, he explained every test point very clearly, and he puts a lot of emphasis on driving safety, which makes it easier for me to become familiar with the driving rules and safety rules of Washington State. As a young driver, I had a hard time learning parallel parking, Sams method is very easy to follow and I finally pass my parallel parking on the test. This driving school also did a good job on making sure the car is clean during Covid. Sam opens the window during the entire coaching session and wears face mask, gloves the entire time.

I used to drive in India and wanted to take a driving test. I went to Sams driving school and took the one hour warm up session plus test. Sam is a very experienced teacher and he also tells us about every rule and how they count towards our test. I took a 90min warm-up session before giving the test. Sam has provided me excellent tips during the warm-up session. Before going to Sams, I went to 911 driving school in Redmond for driving tests. They failed me three times for ridiculous reasons and kept charging me for more tests. Then I went to Sams and took 1 hour warm up lesson. Sam is a great instructor, and had provided so many useful tips for parallel parking and backing up at crossroad within an hour. I passed the test successfully right after the warmup.

My wifes experience: If you are an experienced driver and just need WA driver license, dont go there. You have to take classes to pass. The warm-up lesson is not sufficient, even if the same person teaches you warm-up and takes you through the test. Search for alternatives it might be worth the time invested in the search.

Sams driving school is the best one in Bellevue area. I used to drive in China for more than 6 years, not in US. But I still learned few of hours driving rules and right of way before I took my driving test. Sam taught me a lot of useful driving skills which I never know before. Although I know how to drive safely in China, I am not clear US driving rules. I have a lot of confusions about right of way when I stop at two and all way stop sign. Sam taught me how to make a judgement for them, he explained to me many different things when I was driving on the main road and residential area.
