Ive tried Chinese classes at other schools in the Seattle area but theres really no comparison. This one is hands down the best. Class size is small so you get lots of personalized instruction and interaction with the teacher (and the other students). Each class is well organized and engaging all the way through. There are games, activities, and projects to practice new grammar and vocabulary, which helps cement the new material in your mind. You learn so much, so fast, and its fun! They have free snacks and drinks too. =)

I just started my fourth session with Vicky, and my experience so far has been amazing! The lessons are so well-planned, they help you to truly understand the language in real-life context. Additionally, Vicky is a fantastic teacher- she challenges each student to do their best while making each lesson super fun, and her passion for teaching really shows. Learning a new language, especially Mandarin, felt really intimidating to me, especially as an adult- but she immediately makes each student feel comfortable. I’m excited to continue learning with her!

Ive been taking Chinese classes with Lily Huang once a week for 5-6 months, and Ive really enjoyed them! I can now have a basic conversation, ask where something is, order food, make plans, etc. Focus is on sounds with some character study. If you put in a little bit of work outside class, the characters stick too. If you need goals in quarantine, Ive really enjoyed working on this one.

I feel great about the content, structure, and teaching style of my class, Mandarin I. I always feel engaged and challenged in classes, honestly more than I do in person classes. Vicky is a great teacher full of energy and encouragement. Providing context for Chinese culture and authentic material enriches the class and makes it fun and applicable to real life.

Vicky is my favourite teacher forever!She is so creative and always trying new fun approaches. I have private Mandarin lessons and enjoy them every single time! My teacher is engaging, inspiring and fun, and thanks to her I can finally talk to my Chinese coworkers; not yet about everything, of course, but I am getting there 😊 I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn Chinese for business or personal reasons. Absolutely the most enjoyable Chinese class Ive taken (and Ive taken quite a few in different countries before). A great teacher really makes a big difference. Vicky is engaging, patient, helpful (and funny too!) - she really helps me practice my Mandarin and makes going to class something to look forward to. I highly recommend her classes!

I have taking the Mandarin Chinese class for almost a year and a half. The teacher is very fun and engaging in teaching. She has a very good and efficient strategy in teaching me Mandarin. I already able to talk fluently with a native speaker, discuss a common topic such as economics, politics, and latest news in Mandarin just for 1.5 years of learning.

Our classes with laoshi Vicky have been awesome. She has experience teaching adults as well as younger students. My kids enjoy their classes and are finally picking up Mandarin! We highly recommend NewConcept Education.

The teaching methods used and program structure are very time efficient. I am able to make great progress and have good retention of the material with only a few hours a week time investment. I learned enough in the first couple of classes(5 hours total time investment) to engage native speakers while travelling and have fun conversations and experiences. After 2 years I can speak confidently to friends and colleagues. I tried a few online tools and programs at first and found them to not translate to speaking and understanding in real world situations. The classroom interactions were critical to building a confident foundation for doing so. Some tools such as duo lingo are great as an accessory, and I use them still, but not as core.

I have been taking Mandarin for Business classes on site at my companys offices for about one year now with Jin Chen. The experience has been convenient and great.I only have a couple hours a week to study, and Jiin has been patent and understanding of these needs and focusing on the information we wish to learn as students. I now feel increasingly confident that when I travel to mandarin-speaking locations for business I will not be totally dependent on others to get around, and I have enjoyed learning.

I have enjoyed taking Japanese class with newconcept. They have been good at keep the pace at the level of the class and are very organized with their materials. Sensei Tsukada is has also made class fun by working in allot of conversational activities base on real world scenarios.

Creative and energetic instruction has helped me level up my 中文 faster than I would have thought possible.

This was my first Japanese class, and I learned so much! Tsukada Sensei was a great teacher, and our small class made it easy to get a lot of practice in. My experience here has given me the confidence to study more and more Japanese on my own, and I plan to take more classes with NewConcept.

Definitely the best language classes Ive ever been to. The teaching method itself is just better than anything else out there.

The class is a great mix of conversation practice, writing, listening and reading, and the small class size means everyone gets plenty of opportunities for learning.
