Carolyn has been my instructor for over 8 years now. She was one of the very few instructors who took grown up students. I came in without any knowledge of how to read or play music, I am now able to play some of the best pieces in classical music - thanks to Carolyn! In addition to teaching the basics of playing music with a violin, Carolyn has worked relentlessly to keep me motivated by introducing me to music that challenges me to learn new skills while continuing to be exciting and fun to play. Id recommend Carolyn as the best violin instructor around!

Carolyn Willis was our daughter’s violin teacher for 7 years. We chose her after trying out several teachers in the greater Seattle area. We could not be happier with Carolyn. Correction – our daughter could not be happier with Carolyn. Why? Carolyn evaluates a student not just by his or her skill level but also by their learning style and their unique personalities. She customizes lessons for each of her students to maximize their learning. She tweaks her teaching style based on the how much or how fast the student is learning – home work and practice plans are given after each lesson. I have seen her work with students first hand; I wish I had the positive energy and the patience that she has with her students.We whole -heartedly recommend Carolyn for any student at any level.

Been coming with my boyfriend to watch him play. Carolyn is amazing at what she does! She can not only teach you to play violin but give you great advice on anything else! Also her couch is very comfortable. 10/10 will visit again!
