Been going here since 2017 and it has become like family!! Great traditional and sport taekwondo. Always fun and positive!

Master Graff is an AMAZING teacher. He is so patient with his younger students and both of my kids love going to High Desert Martial Arts. Both Dan and Leslie have been so helpful when it came to filling out the paperwork for belt testing and walking us through the process of everything. They have worked so hard to build a sense of community and I am very thankful for them!

Graff is truly a nice guy, and the vibe at the gym is great. Im sad to have to give only 2 stars, and its because I had what I feel was an avoidable injury that will be with me for life. I tore my ACL in the BJJ class in a leg-lock which the Blue belt (I was white) should have known not to do. We never discussed the level of injuries that could be received and given which I think is vital. Im now walking with a limp, and my leg will never be the same. I brought up that he should inform the rest of the class of the potential for this injury, but I didnt get any sense that this was being done. Im very sad to have to write this, because Graff is as mentioned, so very nice. I would give a 1 star, but I cant. Its taken me years to even write this, but hopefully it will lead to some change if things havent already.

I highly recommend this amazing dojang. Our son has been a student for 1 1/2 years now. He has learned and grown so much studying under Master Graff. Master Graff is a great instructor. He is kind and fun but also firm when needed. He truly cares about each of his students. His wife Leslie is always very helpful and happy to answer any questions you may have. She always has a smile and a kind word. The students and families all adore her. This place has become like a second home to our family. You cant go wrong picking HDMA!

Been taking BJJ here for about 6 months. Master Graff really knows his stuff and is really good at passing it on. Great environment, good people all around, everyone is willing to help if you dont get something.
