Our daughters joined the Goddard family 6 months ago and since the first day they loved the school and their teachers. They are always engaged in activities that stimulate their curiosity and support their development - our four year old is doing some addition and subtraction. Recently, one of our daughters had a medical emergency and the schools staff response was outstanding, taking the necessary measures to ensure her safety while the paramedics arrived. The handling of this situation reassured us that enrolling them in The Goddard School was a very good decision. We have no words to thank the Schools staff for their hard work, and their commitment and love for our girls.

The staff and teachers are responsive and everyone seems to be truly happy to be there. Our child is so happy! They have been so wonderful, especially during COVID, providing a safe and stable environment for our daughter. We couldnt be happier.

The Goddard school of Bethesda is a fantastic school for my son. The teachers are energetic, extremely caring, and simply awesome. There are many fun learning activities happening each day at the school. My son is excited to go to school every morning and comes back home happy every day. This school is the best.

The Goddard School of Bethesda is a great place to send your child: The teachers are enthusiastic, warm, and caring. The curriculum is top notch--in addition to everything you would expect for pre-school, the kids also learn chinese and spanish and have special music and art teachers that are excellent. The facilities are spacious and there is a great outdoor playground. And the administrative staff keeps everything running smoothly.

Our daughter (5 1/2) and our son (3 1/2) attended the Goddard School for almost 4 years.During this time they both made excellent progress in their development. The teachers educate the children with expertise, patience and dedication.There has been no cause for concern over the past 4 years that our children have not received adequate education.There were a lot of visitors / shows from outside which helped to educate and train the children. (for example Glen Echo Fire department, swim school, animal visits, dentist and many more).The Goodard school regularly informs about new events and programs that will take place in the groups in the near future.During Covid-19 in 2020/21 the management convinced with an excellent crisis management. They were in constant contact with the Maryland health department and informed parents in detail about new developments and responded promptly to difficult situations. Compared to other schools in Maryland, the management can be described as exemplary.Through special discounts, the Goddard Scholl has tried to help parents get through the crisis as best they can.We are very grateful for the professional education our children have received and can recommend the Goddard School to any family without hesitation.

It’s the daily smiles and sense of accomplishment from my son that does it for me. The Goddard School of Bethesda provides an incredible education, experience and exposure for my boy. To hear him express how much school was fun and he likes school is very satisfying. I love also how all the teachers relate to each child as if they belonged to their own class. Great start for your precious ones.

This is hands down the best school my daughter has ever attended! Not only did my daughter enjoy going to school everyday, but her vocabulary, her word recognition, and her foreign language skills immensely. My daughter now speaks sign language and Spanish, and Chinese is another language they teach. I was able to login to their app and see daily the skills they were instilling, the activities was able to participate in, and her writing skills improve, and my daughter is just three! I absolutely recommend this school, and wish this was the standard at all early development centers.

I love how the teachers bond with each baby. The photos and videos throughout the day help me feel connected. All the staff are cheerful and friendly. Having a safe nurturing environment for my baby gives peace of mind.

This school has great teachers, a smart variety of educational and fun activities for kids, a focus on learning and development rather than merely just child care, a big playground, and a unique summer camp with great activities (pony rides, superhero visitors, musicians, etc).Further, the school has done a great job of implementing health and safety measures to stay open during COVID. It has very good administrative staff who are almost always available by phone, and a smart and dedicated owner who is leading the school in the right direction. Truly a best in class school.

The staff was so kind and caring. The staff really goes above and beyond for the kids. Just one example - during the shut-down, our sons teacher drove printed out worksheets to our house because we didnt have a printer. I appreciated all of the activities and special events put on by the school. The summer program was so fun. We loved the fall fest and really appreciated the parents night out program since we didnt know babysitters in the area.We loved that there seemed to be a focus on learning. Our son really learned a lot in the two years that he attended Goddard. People were amazed by how much he knew as a three year old.I did not see much turnover during our two years there, so it was nice to have familiar faces to see every day. The communication is top-notch. We generally had emails/calls with questions answered in the same day.In being at another school before coming to Goddard and trying to find another to go to after moving out of the area, its clear that Goddard is really a top-tier place. Were so lucky to have been able to be a part of this special community for two years and wished we could have stayed longer! Keep up the great work! We will miss everyone!

Love, love, love everything about this school, and with two grandchildren having graduated from Goddard, one there now (and another who will start soon), I can personally vouch for every aspect of this school. The staff and educators are loving and professional, the educational experience in every classroom is rich, fun and beyond any program I have seen in the Washington, DC area. They have creative ways to teach language skills, reading, science, math, music, creative arts, and fine motor skills, not to mention friendship, sharing and team work. If a child has an issue, they handle it with great professionalism, patience, care and love. In the end, the best testimony is from my grandchildren - they have all been happy to go to school every day and chatty when they arrive home. Finally, how the school has handled COVID 19 is exceptional - from communications to parents (and this grandparent), to sanitizing measure, temperature taking and health related precautions. There is no detail that escapes being handled. Bravo, Goddard! You deserve 10 stars!

The school was able to take our five year old this summer as our other summer camp plans fell through due to COVID. He had a blast and we were able to go to work. We would highly recommend this to any family looking for a preschool for their child.

We have been extremely pleased with our choosing of Goddard. I would highly recommend it to other families. Pre-COVID, my son went to a daycare at my worksite downtown. It was roughly as good as Goddard from a curriculum perspective--plus it was subsidized by my employer. However, COVID changed everything. The higher tuition at Goddard is to be expected given 1/ it has better facilities than the prior school and 2/ reopened quickly and must pass along the costs of COVID policies and regulations. My sons prior school has not opened and Goddard, I think, as a for-profit, has opened quickly to try to adapt to the new environment. My older son in MCPS is in a pod with two other children that also have siblings at Goddard. Clearly Goddard is seen as a good, close by option for those in the neighborhood. I particularly like the Tadpoles system of emails so I can see what is happening with my son throughout the day. Its likely I will never step foot in his classroom and Tadpoles updates are the next best thing to see that he is engaging with his teachers and eating his lunch.

Mike Pesi not only knows how to run a business, but also makes decisions about the school like each of these kids is how own. Nicole, Marita & Brea are the offensive line of Goddard Bethesda; they do thankless work that is invaluable to the success of the school. EVERY teacher that our child has had has been amazing. The approach of our school during COVID-19 has been nothing short of heroic. I cant imagine our lives, or our childs life, had we not been lucky enough to find this school.

I could not be more pleased with Goddard. The teachers are caring, enthusiastic and all around wonderful. The variety of educational guests (John Henry, bubble lady, petting zoo, the list goes on), activities, books and toys, has truly helped my toddler prosper. I am so happy with our decision to entrust Goddard with my son’s growth and development.

We have had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Goddard School since my son started at the school in September 2017. He has loved each of his teachers and is so comfortable and happy at the school. It is clear he is thriving there. All of the teachers, directors, and owner are so friendly, and they greet us by name when we arrive in the morning. We are so happy with the school and we could not ask for a better experience for our son!

I love Goddard! Everyone at the school (the Owner, the Directors, the teachers) are so friendly, helpful and demonstrate true compassion for what they do. The teachers from every class room know all of the children at the school, which is so impressive. They engage the children with very stimulating activities that are grounded in educational lessons. The artwork is beautiful and my children have become much more interested in singing, dancing and musical instruments since starting at Goddard. They send emailed pictures and videos of your children throughout the day. They put on beautiful music and art shows. I give my highest recommendation to the Bethesda Goddard School

Nicole gave an amazing tour! She was so thorough and sold us with the curriculum. The kids loved her and would give her hugs during the tour. We were also impressed with all the teachers and how caring they were with the children. We would love to have our son join the Goddard School in Bethesda.

I can’t speak highly enough of the diversity of the teachers, the wonderful variety of activities the children do every day, exposure to fish & all sorts of animals, the music and how caring all the staff are! Our daughter’s language skills and ability to interact with other people and children has improved significantly. We are very happy with her overall experience!

Recently moved to the area and we were filled with trepidation re: child care. Between the wait lists, attrition in many centers as well as lack of diversity in some centers the process of finding a place for both our children to enjoy the summer seemed a bit daunting. That all was erased the day we met the wonderful team at Goddard Bethesda. Not only did they do everything possible to accommodate our late arrival they really made us feel a part of a bigger family. The attention to detail, the management, teachers, facilities at this center are frankly hard to beat. The teachers in my childrens class and other classes are phenomenal. They are extremely invested and go out of their way to learn about your child and your family. I am so grateful for them and the peace of mind I have knowing my children are in such capable hands. When my oldest son transitioned to kindergarten he couldnt stop asking when he would be able to go back to Goddard. Our family would recommend this center to anyone looking for childcare that really speaks to the heart of a parent.

Great management, excellent learning activities, energetic and caring teachers

Such a nurturing environment for our 5 year old in the timeframe before she begins Kindergarten! We feel so lucky and blessed to have found this wonderful school. Our daughter has grown in many ways academically and socially during her time at Goddard as well. There is music, art, Chinese, Spanish, hands-on science (the kids grew baby chicks, butterflies and praying mantises while we were there!). The kids learn mindfulness, meditation and do yoga! Its pretty amazing. The teachers are enthusiastic, skilled, devoted and they absolutely adore the children. They clearly want to be there and love their work. The facility is bright, joyful and safe, both indoors and outdoors. We have also found the communication from the school to be clear and consistent from the administration. The Tadpoles photos throughout the day and daily reports at the end of the day, always make me so happy. And there is once a month Parents Nights Out where the kids can come on Saturday evening (for a small fee) so you can get a night out to do whatever you want! Such a warm and special community -- were just sad that its over! But a 5 star experience all around - you will not be disappointed!

My daughter started in the Bunnies classroom in September 2017, has since transitioned to the Roosters classroom, and both of us have been pleased from the very beginning! The teachers and administrators are caring and so creative when it comes to daily activities, especially during summer school. She learns something new almost every day and has learned to socialize even better than before with younger and older children. More reassuring still is her frequent, unsolicited feedback: Mommy, I like my school! Thats pretty much all the confirmation I need.

Our family loves The Bethesda Goddard School! Our son had gone to other preschools before attending this school, and wow, what a difference! The teachers are incredible, the directors are easy to talk to and are compassionate and even the owner is so hands on with parents when we need him and is always there at the school. This experience thus far has been a fresh of breath air for my family and we look forward to a lasting relationship with the school even as our family grows.

Best childcare we could hope for, with extremely caring staff and a fun curriculum that teaches great skills. Our son loves his school... and so do we!

My girls have had the best experience here, I’m so grateful for the time we’ve had. When my daughter was crying on the way to a zoo field trip, her teacher took her into a gift shop and not only got her something to cheer her up, but also got her something for her little sister when she asked to bring something home for her too- I was blown away, but not surprised. To me, this personifies the school. Great academics with fantastic supporting enrichments but above all- it has been a home away from home for us. The communication is fantastic, both responsive and proactive. The administration genuinely cares for all their families. I can’t speak highly enough of the wonderful preschool, highly recommend!

We love Goddard School Bethesda. My son started attending when he was 2 years old, he’s now 4, and we have been very happy. We had originally planned for him to attend the school for the first year and then transfer to a different preschool that had an Italian immersion program (which was important to us.) After 6 months at the school, we were so pleased that we decided to keep him at Goddard until he aged out and was to enroll in Kindergarten. The facility is great and the playground, in my opinion, is their biggest asset. Not only is it double enclosed for the children’s safety, but they use a Pour-in-Place rubber flooring to prevent kids from hurting themselves and they have the equipment tented as to prevent the sun from making it to hot to play on. The curriculum is also wonderful, my 4-year-old knows how to do subtractions and he learned it through play! He is learning Spanish and Chinese, has learned some Yoga poses and some sign language. He has new appreciation for music through John Henry, who plays and sings. He has made close friendships and is learning important life lessons. And the Summer Camp program is amazing. They have a variety of educational guests who come to the school and entertain as well as educate (my son especially loves the Reptile guys) and they have field trips for the older children. All the staff, not only his teachers and directors, know my son by first name. I would be lying if I didn’t say we have had a few issues, however all of them were handled competently by the Goddard Directors. Nicole especially has been amazingly helpful. Everyone really cares for the kids at the school, and it shows. I would certainly recommend the school to anyone who was looking for a preschool.

We love this school! We werent sure what to expect but our 20-month old son is thriving at The Goddard School Bethesda and we couldnt be happier with our choice. Our son takes music class, Spanish class, arts & crafts and even yoga! He has learned about the weather and the holidays and the seasons and we get daily reports on his activities and progress. (Please note that I am very careful to call Goddard a school and not daycare because it really is so much more). The facilities are brand new and the equipment state of the art. The teachers (and administrators) are top notch and are working with us to ensure our son develops into a smart and happy little boy. The Goddard School Bethesda has far exceeded our expectations and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend the school to others.

My kids have been here for 2 years and are provided an environment where I feel they can thrive. I toured several preschools before and had been at a different 1 before and really appreciate the goddard system and this pre-school in particular . We are sent photos of kids while they are there and the leadership of the school is very responsive. My kids really like their teachers, would definitely recommend.

We sent our son to Goddard at a time when our daughter was in the midst of a medical crisis. I had wanted to be a stay at home mom and to care for my children on my own. However due to hospitalizations that were months long, we needed a place my could spend his days while I was at the hospital with My daughter. Upon meeting Mike (the schools director) and touring the school, I felt comfortable that my son would be cared for and safe and that the staff would do their very best to make him feel comfortable. Even though I hadnt wanted to send him to school at such a young age, it was a huge weight lifted off of our shoulders to know that he would be ok (and even have fun!) during the day and we could concentrate on getting our daughter better and home with the family. During our time at Goddard the staff truly has gone above an beyond to meet Roccos needs and to ensure that he had a great time at school. Rest assured that your child will not be ignored and treated like cattle at Goddard and your input as his/her parent will not be ignored but rather made a priority.

We have had two kids at the Goddard School Bethesda since Oct 2015, so almost 2 years. It was great for first year, but has gone through A LOT of turnover with teachers and administration in last 9 months.

When we moved to the DC area, we were overwhelmed by the options for preschool/daycare. After visiting several local preschools, we toured Goddard and signed up immediately because we were so impressed.The school is clean (ask about their sanitizing ZONO machine), high-tech (we love getting Tadpoles photos and videos throughout the day, and their Pre-k classroom boasts a Promethean Board), has highly qualified teachers who WANT to be there, and offers an incredible curriculum filled with Spanish, Chinese, music, outside play, and more.All of the above are the reasons we chose to send our three-year old to Goddard, but what we have come to appreciate are not the academics or quick facts. We love Goddard because the administrators and teachers actually care about our son and his well-being. It is clear that they enjoy him and are invested in his growth, emotionally and intellectually.

Our family loves Goddard and its been such a wonderful experience for us. Our son started at six-months old and has received wonderful love and care into his pre-school years. The teachers have been truly nurturing and its been such an enriching experience for him and our family. As a first-time mother, the staff was so helpful at ensuring we were not just reaching, but exceeding developmental milestones, and their love and interest in his well-being was genuine. As hes gotten older, the ciriculum has helped shaped him into a bright, kind, curious, happy and caring child. A lot of planning goes into what hes being taught, and the lessons are augmented with interesting activites that he loves. The school also plans many interesting activiteis are just about having fun and being kid- water play, foam parties, music classes, yoga, etc. The school is impeccably clean- the facilites are brand new and beautifully furnished. We feel lucky to have found such a quality environment for our son where he thrived and received the gold standard in care.
