I had a facial today from Abbie and she did an amazing job! She took her time to explain all the products she used on me as well as to tell me about what each one does. She was very patient and gentle. It was an awesome experience and such a great price compared to a salon. I would highly recommend getting a facial at Empire!

Empire school offered great front desk professionalism from the moment I walked in the door. Along with the quality customer service, I was very pleased with the salon service and hair styling. The prices are phenomenal and the instructors and students were involved with my hair care! I plan to return soon.

I have gotten a few services done by my classmates most of them were amazing! Amanda’s back facials are the best if you are wanting to relax. It will put you right to sleep. Or Nina’s basic facial. Her massage has the right amount of pressure so help you relax and brush off your worries. Lastly Sammies makeup. Omg her makeup applications are flawless. She is confident in herself and she proves that in her work. All these ladies have amazing personalities and work ethic. I will definitely be going back to all of them for different services! As a transfer student from another school i was nervous about going to a new school but the staff and students welcomed me with open arms. I’ve done a lot of different things that i wasn’t doing at my old school and it’s a lot of fun. When you have questions they throughly explain and show you why or how. If you’re looking for a cosmetology school to either attend or book a service i recommend Empire.

Been coming here for years for updos... the value and dedication to getting it how you want is unparalleled to places I’ve paid $120+ for updos. My most recent style was with Morgan and she rocked it out. Even better than the students, Staci is a teacher/director that’s been here for years and saying that she goes above and beyond would be an insult. She cares so much and wants every person who walks in to have the BEST experience possible. She is one of the most passionate teachers and educators I’ve ever met, and genuinely caresssss SO MUCH it makes your heart smile just being in her presence. Thank you for so many amazing experiences Empire and Staci!!! Can’t wait for my next event or wedding to be beautified again!

Cora colored my hair along with applying a deep conditioning. She was very conscientious about what she was doing and asked questions to make sure she understood what I wanted. She and others were very professional! My color tuned out great! I will be returning for other services. Definitely would recommend!

The products worked well with my sensitive skin and the experience was very relaxing, leaving my skin with the healthy glow that I had always envisioned having. They educated me on products and were thorough asking about my routine. I was really impressed!

I had the best experience at Empire Beauty School. I was paired with a student named Salsa who cut my hair, and it was the best haircut I have ever had. She took her time and was super focused on the details. Plus the instructors were very nice, especially Jeanne! Plan to stay longer than an average salon, though this should be expected for a school environment.I have been a client here since 1991 and have so many fabulous students that have helped me feel so beautiful after highlights and lowlights, styles, facials, waxing....you name it, it has been wonderful!! Muna has been particularly OUTSTANDING!!! She follows the golden rule in her interactions with her customers. To me, she is the Nordstrom of hair! She also gives phenomenal scalp massages!!

Went to Bloomington location in Minnesota. Stacey who is one of the instructors didn’t let the student finish my work. She demanded full payment though. When I told her that you did not let the student to finish, She was abusive to me. She behaved like insane & absurd maniac and may be she was on drugs. Facility was not clean. Toxic behavior of the instructors.

Every student and member of the staff is beyond helpful and so friendly. since joining this school, i’ve been surrounded by positivity, everyone is constantly lifting each other up and giving out compliments, the instructors and the rest of the staff are all very helpful and make sure to do what they can to help you with anything you need.

My experience at Empire was absolutely a W. I had an appointment with a very nice young lady named Jena, who performed a flawless chemical peel on me. Along with customer service, Jena truly knows what she’s doing and enjoys creating a relaxing and carefree experience.

Not to be biased, but I am a current student at empire beauty for the Esthi program and I love it here! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! We just received back facials and Sadie was great!

I was a student in the esthetics program. All the instructors are pretty nice , especially Ms. Heather and Ms.Angie. They made it a fun and rewarding program. Ashley at the front desk is also AMAZING! The administration however, seemed to not really know too much and were never really that helpful. This was the case throughout my entire program. I signed a contract stating I would graduate April 14th, and when it got down to the last week, the date all of a sudden changed to the next day with no explanation. There’s little to no support. I do not recommend.

Empire school in Bloomington MN is one of the WORST I went for a service for which I am REGRETTING. Trainer Stacy was the rudest, unprincipled and corrupt person I came across. Pity on Students who tolerate this kind of a teacher. I went once and regretting to waste my ESTEEM, time & money. NOT a worth of even one star.

Instructors are committed to helping and setting you up for your career. Ms. Heather and Ms. Angie are amazing esthetician instructors and have so much support and care. I feel the atmosphere is very positive, friendly and uplifting. I was very frustrated with the end of the program in regards to my graduation. At the start of the program I was signed to a graduation date that changed out of no where with no explanation or reason. There was either a miscommunication or glitch in the system. Either way, very frustrating change last minute with family and friends unable to attend graduation due to the last minute change. Overall the instructors are great and you learn everything you need and more. Products seem to always run out and take a while to get shipped and are a little scarce. But love the dermalogica products for use!

Amazing educators, amazing school! Even through Covid this school was very accommodating to students that were unsure about in person attendance. The school offered online and zoom classes to be able to continue to clock hours. Ashley has been amazing at the front desk with all her amazing help, Tammy and Amy for helping coach the student body, Staci and Ann for being on the salon floor and creating a very fun environment with no client services being provided, Jeanne for all the amazing educational lessons in pre salon, Natalie and Kari at night being amazing too on the salon floor. I would highly recommend Empire Beauty to anyone looking to join this amazing industry!

I have been a cosmetology student at empire since April 2019 and I have had my ups and downs with the whole experience. The staff, including teachers and Ashley at the front desk are remarkable people! Especially Ms.Staci and Ms. Ann. Everyday I come in they are motivating me to do and be better with the biggest smiles on their faces. They have always been there for me through my toughest and best days. The school curriculum is good although I wish we learned more hair care for textured hair. The instructors are very well educated and have experience beyond my 2 years of school and I have loads of respect for them. Its clean and professional for the most part. The biggest issue is the students at times can be loud and rude and obnoxious infront of clients and it has been embarrassing but I wouldnt count it against empire. I would recommend Empire to anybody interested in cosmetology or possibly even esthetics. Im looking forward to graduating in June 2021.

I went to school at empire in Bloomington and I just graduated in September, the friends I made going to school there are ones that will last for years. The teachers and admissions are also friends I hope to keep for years to come. They also helped me get through schooling through the pandemic and helped me pass my cosmetology PSI’s on the first try. I 10/10 would recommend going to school at empire in Bloomington and getting services done here. Super friendly and very professional.

Rhonda Franks is a student at empire beauty school that I had the opportunity to meet at twins ladies night before party. She took the time to get my hair up per my request as it was a very hot day. Her creativity with putting my hair up, I have lots of it, I had compliments throughout the night.If you’re looking for a hair stylist Ronda is your lady! Highly recommend visiting her at empire beauty school.

I work near Empire and frequently deliver food there. Its always busy, which made me curious... was it THAT great of a place? I took a couple of different brochures which included a list of services and their cost (SUPER reasonable/cheap!). I made an appointment for the next day. Everyone I talked to was super helpful and friendly. The place was clean and there were no chemical smells! I had my hair lightened and recolored and never had to breathe in any unpleasant odors normally associated with hair treatments. I love how my hair turned out and have gotten many compliments on it. I will definitely be back as well as recommend anyone to Empire. Thanks guys!

I made an appointment for glaze, making sure it was for a glaze not a gloss. She assured me they had glaze. After driving across the city for a patch test 24hrs prior, the instructor said glaze and gloss are the same thing. Am i on the same planet?

I got my hair dyed a couple of weeks ago. After the first visit my hair color was not what I wanted. I went back to get it fixed the next day, and they went out of their way to make my hair what I wanted. They did an excellent job, were extremely accommodating, and had a great attitude about fixing my hair.

The commercial is pretty horrible. As well makes me scared to go to a salon with the students. Their hair does not look like it was done well- and that is the number one rule when working at a salon. You do not want your client looking at your hair worried! Im sure this school may be fine. But the hair they used in the commercial was a VERY POOR choice

This place is horrible. I made an appointment for my niece to get her hair and nails done for her birthday a month ahead and we happened to be there 25 minutes earlier than our 5:45pm appointment. We’re told to wait until the appointment, so we waited.When we came back at 5:45pm, we’re still waiting 10 minutes later than our appointment, nobody bothered to say anything to us.When I asked what happened to our appointment they said, it’s only 5:55pm.I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.The front staff and the educator Molly were all rude.

I have been going there 2years, having my daughter hair done.today the rude instructor wants to charge me 40dollars, then when my daughter hair done she want to charge me 100$. I have been paying 9$ for 2years. She was rude and confronted me with this issue 2 times in front of my young daughter. Will not go back in the future. The hairstylist was great.

Great experience. I am too fat to do my own toe nails...... so a pedi every few weeks is important. They are great, as good as the expensive salons. And Sharelle was fabulous and very careful with my old feet. Feel like a million bucks. Great. If you come here for your old toes.... be sure to ask for Sherelle!.

I tried calling to check prices and make a appt for a mens hair cut but Noone answers the phone so it says to leave a detailed message. So i wait to leave this message and it says the voice box is full try again later!! How can you not empty your voice mail when running a business when its full and Noone can leave a message! !?? Not very professional already. ... Ill give it another shot soon and see what happens but if it happens again Im out!

I went in to get a bleach and tone. I had some pretty grown out blonde, with natural brown hair showing (a good 6-7 inches of natural hair). i said i wanted a full head of blonde. They asked if i wanted lowlights, i said no, and said that i wanted all blonde. Same shade on my entire head. I thought we were on the same page, but I guess not. Before i knew it, i was getting highlights?! Never once were highlights brought up by me, the instructor or the student. By the time i realized i was getting highlights I had already been there for 3 hours while the back of my head was being done. I didn’t realize until she got to the front of my head that i wasn’t going to walk out of there with a full head of blonde hair. The highlights are very 2000’s, very chunky and thick highlights. they aren’t even. They are different colors (some being platinum blonde, some being dark blonde, some yellow, some brassy colored, some spots with no highlights) so they messed up AND what i got looks horrid. I am very disappointed and now i have to go to my old hair colorist, multiple times, to fix this. This was not worth wasting my money or 5 hours of my day for really bad highlights.

Amazing service

Never had problems at the Eden Prairie location and always had low prices but the Bloomington location has higher prices and all my relaxers here have gone wrong with them leaving chemicals in my head to burn. This last time was the far worst leaving me with balding and chemical burns on my ears and scalp
