The people here are so nice!! I came with my class and we all got free makeovers, and everyone was so kind and patient with us. The atmosphere is also lovely, so if you are ever in East Boston and need a makeover, this is the place to go.

OH MY GOODNESS ELMA!!!!!Where do I even start? Let me start off with saying SHE SAVED MY WEDDING!!!!!I went to Oxigen J. in Orient Heights and got my hair and makeup done by Lina. I was very unsatisfied with Linas make-up service to say the least. (Go read my review in Yelp for more details)For my wedding I was pushing my mom to go to a hair salon, like me, for her hair and make-up. She wanted the cheap way out and decided to go with East Boston Beauty Academy. When she called she was hooked up with Elma.Elma went to my home in Revere, on a Saturday, and did my moms hair and make-up. My mom looked so amazing!! She said when she looked in the mirror she couldnt believe how beautiful she looked. My moms hair & make-up came out so beautiful. Her favorite part was that Elma made her nose look thinner and pointer. (My mom has a really wide nose. lol)I came home from the Salon and almost cried at how beautiful my mom looked. Elma very politely told me I looked very beautiful and offered to put fake lashes on for me. (Lina at Oxigeno J. said I didnt need lashes) Elma was shocked that I had no lashes on and said for my wedding I really should have them.So I sat down for what I thought was only going to be lashes. I noticed Elma was doing more than lashes and Im not going to lie I was very scared since my face was already very caked. My face was left pale and with painted eyebrows by Lina. Elma had to add highlighter, blush, and eye lashes she even brushed out my eyebrows to make them look more natural. After I looked in the mirror and I was beyond happy with her work. Elma made me look like a princess. I regret not doing everything with her to begin with. She even helped me get dressed!!!! I will forever be grateful for Elma you have no idea. Thanks to her my mom and I were beautiful on my wedding day. Everyone complimented my make up and I made sure to tell them that it was all THANKS TO ELMA!!!!!! I wish there was more I can do then just write a review so if you have any ideas send them my way!If you need hair and make-up for an event call/go to East Boston Beauty Academy and ask for Elma. Hopefully when she graduates the school is willing to share her location or number because she truly is the best! Shes the sweetest person Ive met!ELMA GRACIAS POR TODO!!!!!! First & last time going here. My haircut wasn’t close to what I asked for.

My hair always looks so beautiful! Amanda and the students do a fabulous job ! Always professional and always a great visit ! 😊

The school is of low quality, the owner, Amanda, is very menopausal with mood swings and is also a great stingy. The owner orders the assistant teacher to require students to clean the school deeply. Students pay to school to learn, not to spend a whole class cleaning the dirt and the old mess that the owner had. Students pay to learn to be stylists, not to learn to be porters.In addition, most of the students there lack education and manners among the same classmates and that makes it very difficult to have a positive and mature learning environment. Try the school if you want but I dont recommend it. It is a very low quality school. He was already warned.
