Both of our girls (now 3.5 and 18 mo) have attended Sunkissed Acorns from age 12 weeks when I returned to work. They are a lovely, caring group of caregivers and educators who genuinely nurture our children in a small day care setting.Mabel, now the director, imparted immensely helpful parenting tips and got us through some challenging infant phases.Sunkissed is what they call Chinese language exposure (as opposed to immersion where there’s no English). My 3 year old can say colors and numbers, polite phrases etc. but the surprise always comes when the teachers speak to her in Chinese and she understands. They partner with the parent and child and have always “met us where we are” so to speak. When we decided to potty train my eldest they were immediately on board- providing the consistency, feedback and positive reinforcement for both parent and child. Later when I was expecting #2 and #1 blindsided us with a potty training regression they helped us to understand that it was normal, a phase and encouraged consistency and positivity to get through.COVID has been difficult for certain but Sunkissed has always had daily professional cleaners and they have always routinely disinfected toys (especially the teething toddler chew toys!) between child uses so I was never concerned about their ability to handle the EEC changes.I highly recommend Sunkissed Acorns for those looking for a smaller center with a diverse and inclusive environment.

Its the cleanest childcare facility Ive seen. The pricing is affordable for especially for a Boston daycare. Has playground and convenient location to drop off or pick up kids before and after work.

We had our 3-month-old daughter signed up to attend this daycare before finding out she needed emergency heart surgery. We called immediately to let them know and discuss options with them, as we did not know when (or if) she would be able to attend daycare following the surgery. At first, they seemed very kind, told us not to think about daycare at such a stressful time and said they would hold her spot for a month. When we let them know with two weeks to go in that month that we had decided it was not going to work out, they told us they would be keeping our two-week deposit (so we essentially paid them for the weeks that they held her spot). We have now lost not only the two-week deposit, but also the two weeks of funds set aside in our FSA since no services were provided. I tried to speak to management several times, but they use the director as a buffer and will not talk to me. The director seems perfectly nice, but management is sorely lacking in compassion.**Update - Its disappointing that management could not set aside five minutes to talk to me, but could quickly respond to my review. I suppose that is in keeping with what I said about the company earlier.**
