School of Rock has been the biggest gift to our family. My son has such confidence in getting on stage. The students are all so supportive and encouraging of each other so they all have the confidence to stand up on stage. The staff is incredible and they make each kid feel like a million bucks. We love SOR!

You all rock. We consider School of Rock to be our family, our clubhouse. As an adult, you help transformed my bass playing and it has been the best thing ever for me. My daughter loves what you offer and we couldnt be happier.

I have a daughter and a son who are both students at School of Rock Boulder. They are going on two years there and both love it. They have participated in both private lessons as well as the performance programs and they have all proven to be very positive experiences. The one on one attention that they receive in privates gives them the time they need to work on different aspects of music and the teachers really work hard to individualize the lessons and keep the kids excited. The performance programs offer a totally different experience in regards to giving them the opportunity to be part of a band and what that means; working together, growing together and performing together. Truly a priceless experience. All in all the kids are given an opportunity to feel a part of something very special.

We love the experienced teachers, the kid-centric teaching styles, and the emphasis on learning songs and playing in performances. The mixed-ages band has been super motivating for our kid: he’s made a ton of progress in just a few months!

Coming to School of Rock and working with Preston has been uplifting and engaging for my perpetually bored son. Handing him and electric guitar was very exciting for him!

I am happy to completely rewrite my previous review and update my ratings from 1 star to 5 after the wonderful turn-around at School of Rock Boulder. The school looks better than ever with new art, new furniture, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. More importantly, the staff are all top-notch. Weve never had an issue with instructors at the school, but the current team is absolutely fantastic! Enthusiastic, caring, and helping our teen son go to new levels of playing and now singing! Most exciting of all is the new GM, Brian Davis. Brian said more words to me his first day on the job than the previous GM ever did. Brian is more engaged with the bands at the school, and most significantly, ROCKS! So good to have a talented musician running the school. Also worthy of note is Kelly Eaton, Studio Coordinator. Kelly has done so much to fix up the school and to improve communication with students and parents. I kind of wanted to leave my previous review up here to show how far this School has changed since I had to write that bad review. But why dwell on the past? The Boulder School of Rock is the absolute best, and we are so thankful for the excellent direction in which it has turned. Highly recommended.

**Editing this review WAY up from 1 star because this School has undergone some MAJOR changes in the last 6 months! There is NEW management, there are some FABULOUS (and also new) instructors, and everything is just looking amazing for this place. Im grateful and relieved that we stuck it out through a challenging time -- this is an amazing place for our kid (He has been playing here for 4 years now).I fully expect to be able to bump this review up to 5 stars over the next several months.

The performance program teaches teamwork, accountability, and leadership skills. The atmosphere and culture are positive and upbeat (no pun intended). Being able to play an instrument or sing well builds confidence in a young person. Confidence leads to success!

Being hired as a voice instructor at the Boulder School of Rock has been nothing short of wonderful! The kids are so passionate about music and the other instructors are amazing and talented! I love what the performance program offers the students and the 2nd home the school has provided for them. The instructors at School of Rock work hard to create a safe and unique environment for the students to learn and is unlike any other music school. We love School of Rock!

Boulder school of rock gives opportunity for kids to be in an environment that is more true to life for musicians than any other school. By incorporating live performances and group rehearsals, along with private lessons the kids truly get the full experience of what its like to be in a band and in general what it means to be a musician. The staff is all extremely experienced from being in actual touring bands to winning nominations on the voice, your child will excel musically, creatively, and learn team band building skills they wont find anywhere else.

My daughter has been at School of Rock for three years, and she loves it. She takes bass lessons and plays in the performance program, and the whole experience has been great at developing her skills and confidence. We love the staff--the teachers are fantastic--so kind and helpful--and Kelly at the desk is great!

I am new to the School of Rock but have enjoyed my experience so far. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and really seems to be a big, happy family. My bass teacher, Karl, is great. He’s always ready with a new challenge and helpful tips to keep me moving onward and upward!

This place used to be fabulous with great instructors who were trained in teaching kids - not just in playing. Over the past six months almost all of those teachers (who are still shown on the website) have left. The operations of the place have gone downhill and the newer instructors are a much lower caliber. It is disappointing to give a mediocre rating, as this place used to be great and my kids loved it. I hope they can turn things around.

They aren’t helping families who can’t afford to pay for lessons during this pandemic and not only that but they are still applying their 30 day notice for canceling your classes so they families who can’t afford it still have to pay for those 30 days no matter what. This is just not cool and shows they don’t care about their students and their families.

Speaking as both a former student and current instructor at the Boulder, this school is filled with great people and talented instructors, and provides a comfortable, safe environment for kids to learn how to rock. Performance-based music education is hands down the best way to learn how to play an instrument, and the friends I have made through the School of Rock program will no doubt be lifelong.

Kelly RoneyWe love Halle! She is sweet and positive and an amazing instructor. Kelly is also awesome. She is very easy to talk to you and knowledgeable about all of the teachers. Its evident that she tries to place your child with the best fitting teacher . Recently we had our first band performance and I was absolutely blown away. Thank you!

We had a poor experience with the staff at the Boulder School of Rock. I understand that they have had a lot of turnover recently, Lessons were cancelled last minute and there were problems with payments. I would not recommend it to anyone.
