Thom is the perfect fit for my son, whos music taste runs the gamut. Thom makes it fun for him, challenges him, and literally customizes every lesson to focus on exactly what is interesting my 12 yo that week. Hes teaching him solid fundamentals, while encouraging creativity and free-form expression. I feel like this is great option for my kid, who tends to be rigid in many facets of his life, but who is seeking some freedom in his musical endeavors. As a person, Thom is great. Hes great with kids, as well as with parents. Hes positive and supportive, while also pushing them to do new things.

Thom is awesome! Two of my girls take guitar from him and they love it each week. He has a great style that makes them feel very comfortable. They attended their first recital this summer and thought it was a blast. Very motivating. Recommend him wholeheartedly!

Thom is great to work with and takes the time to figure out what his student are interested in learning and then teaches to that interest. He doesnt take a one-size fits all approach to teaching. He is very knowledgeable about music theory and sprinkles the lessons as needed to combine the why with the how. He is passionate about music and teaching, two key ingredients to finding a great instructor.

Thom is a wonderful guitar teacher who really empowers kids to develop their skills. The set up at his studio is perfect for not only the student but the parent who is either dropping off or waiting. The waiting area is comfy and it is really fun to hear Thom and the student jamming together. I cant recommend Thom highly enough!

Our son took lessons from Thom for a couple of years, when he was in the 7-9 age range. The two of them clicked immediately, and our sons passion for electric guitar and his skill grew rapidly. Thom is patient, quick with praise, able to motivate and coax progress beyond what I could have imagined possible. Loved the performances at Nissis, where the kids get the experience of performing live in a club setting. We recommend him highly!

Thom is a patient and talented teacher. My son, Mac loved learning from him. He even helped him get hooked up with other musicians to jam with. Thom is one of the best!

Thom is a very talented musician. My son showed an early interest in music and started at 5yrs old! Thom has a unique way of teaching kids that excites and motivates them about learning music. The recitals at Nissis are pretty cool too!
