We love Boulder Montessori! My son loves going to school and we always feel welcomed and appreciated by all of the staff. Everyone there is always so pleasant to deal with and always full of helpful suggestions for any challenges that you or your child may be facing. As a former early childhood educator it is easy to tell when teachers and caregivers truly love what they do and where they work. I have no question in my mind that everyone here absolutely loves teaching and loves teaching at Boulder Montessori! The staff is great about communicating with parents and genuinely care about each family at their school. I cant imagine life without Boulder Montessori.

Great school, but be sure to have a backup plan. They have a deadline in their heads by when your kid should fully grasp the Montessori method. If the kid doesn’t fully catch on by that secret deadline, they will get expelled - and up until that date, reviews of your kid will sound neutral or even positive (unless there is an actual serious issue of course). They also do not allow parents to come work with their kids to help them catch on.So, by all means, let your kid to attend this school because it’s great in every way except helpful feedback or parent’s involvement with helping their kids succeed. But maybe your kids will catch on and there won’t be any issues - just have that backup plan in case you get surprised, too.

Wonderful school. The staff really understands and believes in the Montessori method which is great both because of its effectiveness and because having a teching staff that is all on the same page and believing in anything is rare and powerful. Both our kids loved it here!

I am so thankful we found such a great place for our daughter to go to when we have to go to work. It is painful enough to have to leave your child with someone all day, but since I have so much confidence in the skills of the teachers at Boulder Montessori my conscience can take a break. That alone is worth so much. She has been at BMS for a year and half now and seems to be learning a ton and growing beautifully as a person. She has loved all her teachers and talks about them outside of school all the time. We feel so comfortable with everyone there and it really shows in all the kids that the teachers are very caring and really love working there. Our daughter really loves being around older kids so the open classroom setup allows her to interact with them and kids her own age. The owner is fantastic and somehow knows the names of every child and parent at the school. At this point, weve decided that well be involved and financial supporters of BMS even when our daughter no longer goes there. We love it and so does she!

There has been no other decision that had caused us as much consternation as deciding with whom to entrust the safety, well-being, and nurturing of our 18 month old son. I cannot say enough GREAT things about BMS. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, caring and very educated. My child blossomed in ways I couldnt have dreamed! He has come so far in education and emotional learning and I wish he could stay there forever! Now that he has moved on from the AMAZING toddlers program into preschool, it is clear that there is a caliber of guidance, caring, and concern that has been consistent between each of his classes. I also feel completely assured that my sons food allergies are taken very seriously and treated with utmost care and compassion. A+ to BMS!

My daughter started at BMS in the preschool program at 2.5 years. She is now 3.5, and continues to love school, learn new skills, gain independence, and generally thrive at BMS. Im grateful this excellent school is in our neighborhood and I highly recommend it.The teachers and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I feel comfortable leaving my child in their care.I appreciate the Montessori approach to early childhood education. My daughter has learned a tremendous amount in her first year of preschool. Additionally she shows a great amount of independence and curiosity, two qualities I know her teachers are fostering. The school has warm, inviting classrooms, a spacious playground that invites creative play, and borders open space. My daughter especially loves her teachers, the school cats, the tire swing, the songs shes learned, and the little lending library. Our son will start in the toddlers program once he reaches 18 months.

My son is 4.5 and has been at Boulder Montessori School since he was 18 months old. He has thrived under the care of the wonderful teachers at BMS and with the Montessori principles. Our younger son will start at BMS when he reaches 18 months and we are thrilled to have him benefit from all things BMS.Some aspects of BMS which contribute to our satisfaction: 1) tenure of teachers - several teachers & administrators have been with BMS since founding in the 1970s. many others have been with the school for 10-20 years. 2) sense of community - BMS embraces its families as their own. 3) empowering children - Montessori gives children the power to thrive in independence. From serving their own food and clearing their own dishes, to finding a sense of order in how children structure their work, our son finds extreme happiness in managing his own little world.
