We feel so fortunate that we found this little gem of a preschool! As experienced parents, we knew we wanted a school for our youngest child that focused on relationships and play rather than structured academics and worksheets.We were hesitant at first to inquire at CJP because we are not a Jewish family, but they were very open and welcoming towards us. Being Jewish is not a requirement for enrollment, which is great because there arent many other Reggio inspired schools in this area! We were very honest and told them we have no plans to engage in the Jewish religion at home but are definitely open to having our child learn about the Jewish traditions. The teachers and staff have been respectful of our familys beliefs as well.Just walking into this school, you can feel the care that the teachers have for the children. Enrollment is limited to ensure small class sizes and the teachers really get to know the children and their families. The classrooms have a calm and peaceful feeling with many aesthetically beautiful elements including lots of natural light, real plants and wooden shelves.The new playground has some really fun and unique features including two wooden climbing structures, stumps for climbing, and an outdoor mud kitchen. The playground is safe and well supervised, but the children have tons of freedom to adjust the environment and engage in whatever play they can imagine.If youre looking for the traditional bright colored class with worksheets and a gazillion kids running around, you wont find it here. But if youre looking for a loving and respectful environment that supports your young childs creativity and individual needs - you wont find a better school!
