Ruth has always been the best teacher and mentor! She’s very creative, caring and attentive. I was a very needy student for a long time at the start of class and she always took time to work with me and help my skills grow. Now I am happy to say that even many years later, I can still call on her when I’m in need of help on any of my independent home projects.

I have had the most amazing experiences learning from Ruth! I have been sewing with Ruth for over a year now! From the first class to the most recent, Ruth has a beautiful style of teaching with patience, knowledge, encouragement, and a genuine love of her craft and students. She is extremely talented and her love of sewing and teaching shine. Thank you Ruth for being such a great teacher and giving me the confidence to sew projects I never would have imagined I could!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the classes with Ruth’s Sewing Room! I started out with the beginner class and have continued for over a year now! Ruth is so knowledgeable and not just from a technical stand point but she has common sense and is able to simplify to meet her students understanding. She is extremely personable and has such a big heart of gold. I made lifetime friends through this class and I am so thankful that I found this class and Ruth and the happiness it has brought me!

I have worked with Ruth for a little over a year. She is a wonderfully patient teacher and very encouraging. She shows you other ways to do things and is a wealth of information. Ruth does not want you to spend money unnecessarily and helps to keep this an affordable hobby. I highly recommend Ruth if you want to learn about all things sewing.

Mrs. Ruth! Wow! I could sit here and write gobs and gobs of great things about her as a person and a teacher, but that will not do her skills any justice. I am on my second class and have learned so much from her, and Im not the easiest student. Thank you, Mrs. Ruth! You have the patience of Job!

Ive been coming to Ruths sewing room for over 2 years and I love it!! Her advance class gives us a chance to work on individual projects. Ive learned so much and my work has become more detailed! She is always helpful and giving us Tips on how to make what we are working on easier!!

Ruth was not only helpful I learned a lot, but made an outfit using 2 different patterns. She helped me locate the fabric and the patterns that fit what I was looking for. I would highly recommend her as she is a quality, helpful and skilled seamstress.

Ruth is an awedome teacher. I have attended many of her classes. She is patient, kind and caring..not to mention an excellent teacher. She makes sure you get plenty of hands-on training from day one! I just love her.

This lady was so hostile and strange, and seemed to be unwilling to assist me. All she seemed to be focusing on was what I should do, rather than what her product is, which is why I had called to learn about her classes, costs, etc. I got none of that information as she started going into tangential issues. She said I should purchase the machine I like, without her input, or me knowing anything about machines, and started telling me to go do research, and that learning the skills is not something she could tell me everything in five minutes. She quickly hang up on me when I called her out. Of course I know that it will take years to learn the stuff. I think she detected my accent as not the kind of American she wants to help make progress, or she simply wants to be a gate keeper and will not train anyone who is going to offer competition. Evil racist is what I call this kind of person.

I am so excited with the new skills I have learned at Ruth’s sewing room! Ruth is a great teacher and makes sewing fun. I can’t believe the progress I have made since I started.

Was EXCITED about class only to arrive at a private home, and told My husband doesnt like men in the house. I enrolled 5 days prior. Between seeing my masculine name on a PayPal transaction and the 3 emails conversations we had (where she addressed me by name) why was this mentioned? Or was it because Im a black male????
