I enjoyed the classes and Mrs. Patricia prepared us well for the test. Mrs. Patricia gave us good preparation. I have to admit changing the review date last minute was not good, but the lessons were good and thats whats important to me taking a class that prepares me to pass the exams. Yes the teacher was a bit intimidating to some, even rude but I did not take it personally because I know she didn’t mean wrong. The teacher just really wanted us to follow instructions and pass. Just know if you take this class you will learn the material you need to pass and she is your teacher not your friend.

Mrs. Patricia is by far one of the best instructors I have ever experienced. She really cared about our entire class and made sure we understood and could accomplish every task, so we would be ready for the state test and for our future in the health field. We all did really well....Her devotion to trained dedicated individuals for the medical field is apparent. I wish the school offered RN programs because I would enrolled in it immediately! If you want a instructor that cares about your success, this is the institute for you.

Ms. Patricia is a wonderful instructor. I love her teaching strategies she provides! What I found the most helpful during this course is that Ms. Patricia really cares about her students and the success for our class. Ms. Patricia offers a review day to go over all the skills you are tested on for your license 1-2 days before you test. That is something a lot of places do not do. During covid our test was pushed out 2 months after we finished the course so the refresher review 1-2 days before the test was extremely helpful for a lot of us. Not to mention she doesn’t charge for that review it is FREE because she wants to see students be successful. If you are looking for a great school to take your NA 1 course for nursing school or any other certifications in the medical field check Umanah Healthcare institute out.

It is unfortunate that people do notalways admit the truth. Ms. Patricia is a very strict and professional instructor, she does not play in the class. She is for your good. She is not partial, not rude as some may say. I took this class and I come out very successful. Patricia Do not test her students. How come the school makes 90% or more in their state final exam? the simple answer is that she is one of the best teachers I have met. Just be humble, leave your ego at the door and be ready to learn.

I went to take my CNA state test yesterday in Monroe, NC and Mrs. Patricia Umanah was terrible! I honestly do not see how someone can run a business and treat people the way she did us yesterday. She was completely rude to everyone ALL day. She constantly would make rude remarks and spoke to us like we were idiots. The first thing she said to us was that she didnt feel good and wasnt going to yell, but no one was talking. She refused to answer questions when she was going over the skills testing room, when she is suppose to answer any questions we have before testing. She made all of us more nervous than we already were. She seemed to not care to be there and if that was the case, then she should have stayed home and had someone else come and evaluate us. It makes a world of difference when you have someone that treats you with respect versus someone who makes you feel inferior to them. Needless to say, I failed skills and I WILL NOT go back to this place to retest. She took off for things i KNOW i did during the skills testing. Hopefully other people have a better experience than I did, but my advice is do not go here for anything!!!

Archaic teaching methods are coupled with poorly written power points to bring you the worst four hours of your life five times a week. Patricia Umanah seems particularly resistant to positive reinforcement, activities to keep students engaged, or updating her information. This is particularly disheartening for an instructor in the sciences. She gave students bad information about HIV. But I cringe every time she insists that skills be demonstrated to perfection the very first time and when students invariably fail her on their very first try, she gives them a laundry list of mistakes.Today I asked for a copy of my certificate of completion from Umanah. She said it would be five dollars. She asked about a bad review I had written on another site. I immediately admitted I didnt think much of her program and said as much online. Then she WITHHELD MY DOCUMENTS. She held my documents hostage (which are required for nursing school applications) because I didnt like her. That is low, low, low. Thankfully, she did call me later after I told her that the Board of Nursing might be interested in her personal vendettas, and gave me my documents.

I took my NA1 exam at this institution. One star is gracious at best! The lady who owns the business is nothing but rude. She spoke to those of us testing like we were children. She has a VERY thick accent and when asked nicely to repeat herself, she barks back at you, aaking why you dont listen. The needed information is NOT provided. Every single person testing with me failed, if that tells you anything. She told me that I failed a part of one skill because I did not preform the task as the book states, which is not true. When I got back home, I did the research, I did it exactly as the book had stated. To say that I am mad is an understatement, furious would be more accurate! I STRONGLY suggest that you find elsewhere to take your exams.

Terrible service, I called to get a copy of my certificate of completion for my CNA 1 course that I took 2 years ago. I was told in a rude manner that certificates were given on the last day of class- that of which I never received. They proceed to tell me that a copy is 25$ if they do find it. Very disappointed.

Patricia umanaha is by far the worst teacher in the history of my life !! She is a rude woman and expects the students to know EVERYTHING the 1st time its explained and if not she GET A VERY NASTY ATTITUDE! When showing the skills i raised my hand to ask if another method was ok or not and she said were you not listening. It was a question asked by the student so the teacher could give a educational answer and not a nasty comment. From that day when it was time for review day i missed the class because i didnt bother showing up so she could ridicule me or my fellow classmate!! She is an awful teacher(in my opinion) and should not be teaching, she is a good learner but as a teacher...NO!!

The most unprofessional healthcare establishment Ive ever seen. Patricia was on a personal phone call for about 30 minutes, making all of us wait. She picks and chooses who she passes and who she does not. There must be some sort of commission based ploy for her to fail people because she failed most of our class. The people that did pass told the rest of us she had to correct them on multiple skills during testing. If you want a fair chance at passing your CNA skills exam, take your money else where.

1 star Bc I couldnt give 0! I passed my state exams but throughout the class it was the worst. Patricia will not care for your questions and will humiliate you in front of everyone else. She expects you to know how to do everything at your first time. ALWAYS has nasty comments and disgusting attitude. Theyre only on top of the money and she tries to charge for everything ! I kid you not even the other instructors and secretary dislike her methods. I had thought abt doing my CNA2 but wont be giving them my business ! As for the 90% students pass? Lol right. when I took my exam out of like 15 of us only 6 of us passed. And out of my friends class 2 passed. During the times you practice you pretend to use equipment so on the actual test it feels very different also her review isnt worth the money. We dont get to practice just watch and dont ask questions unless you want a disgusting response. All I can say is WORST experience ever.

I went to the Umanah Institute to take my CNA exams and was very disappointed in my experience. The facility is extremely cramped and is decorated very haphazardly. There are random papers taped to the walls, and all the furniture is mismatched. The skills room is filled with diy supplies and jerry rigged fixtures. The owner, Patricia Umanah is quite stand-offish and makes no effort to make candidates feel welcome or comfortable. She yelled at several people in my testing session and was overall extremely intimidating. She failed the majority of our group, and I cant help but wonder if she simply doesnt pass people who did not study at her school. I will be choosing a different testing center for my retest and would recommend that anyone considering this testing location reconsider.

I think she did it just to make money out me. Then I called to see if they had a CNA refesher course and the lady on the phone was soooo rude and told me that refesher course didnt exist no more, AND THAT WAS A BIG LIE Cuz even the community colleges they do have it. This place dont care about students they just want money!!!!

I ENROLLED IN THE CNA PROGRAM TO REENTER THE MEDICAL FIELD IN CHARLOTTE,NC. I ENJOYED THE PROGRAM AND MY INSTRUCTOR MS. GAYE. I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE PROGRAM AND AM IN THE PROCESS OF TAKING MY STATE EXAMS...PASSED THE WRITTEN AND FOOLISHLY MISSED THE SKILLS BY ONE SKILL. ATTEMPTING TO REGISTER TO RETAKE THE SKILLS EXAM & HAVE HAD MY FIRST NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE SCHOOLS OWNER MS. PATRICIA UMANAH. I TOOK THE SATURDAY CLASSES BECAUSE I AM A WORKING ADULT THAT WORKS MONDAY THRU FRIDAY WITH NO FLEXIBILITY. AS I ATTEMPTED TO EXPLAIN THIS TO PATRICIA THAT I NEED TO KNOW THE DATES AVAILABLE SO THAT I CAN REQUEST OFF TO RETEST, WHICH SHE THEN ADVISES THAT SHE WONT KNOW THE DATES UNTIL AFTER PAYMENT IS MADE. FINE. I CALL BACK THE NEXT DAY WITH MY DEBIT CARD AND SHE IS TESTING THIS DAY, SHE HAD HER ASSISTANT RETURN MY CALL TO TAKE MY PAYMENT BUT NO ONE CAN GIVE ME A DATE YET. I EXPLAINED AGAIN TO THE ASSISTANT THAT I NEED A DATE TO BE ABLE TO REQUEST OFF. MRS. PATRICIA CALLED ME BACK AND WAS VERY SHORT AND RUDE DEMANDING PAYMENT STATING THAT SHE WOULD CALL LATER WITH DATES. SHE DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE OR CARE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PROCESS WILL NOT WORK FOR ME. I ASKED INITIALLY FOR THE TEST CENTER ID TO REGISTER MYSELF ON THE WEBSITE , LIKE THE RESULTS INSTRUCT, AND SHE REFUSES TO GIVE ME THE TEST SITE ID. I AM NOW CALLING PEARSON VUE AND GOING THROUGH THEM. THIS IS DISHEARTENING TO HAVE SUCH A HASSLE AFTER THE TIME , MONEY, AND EFFORT SPENT WITH THIS INSTITUTE. I HAVE TOLD MY CO WORKERS AND FRIENDS ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE THAT JUST SPOILED THE POSITIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE I RECEIVED.FYI: CUSTOMER SERVICE GOES A LONG WAY. IT CAN MAKE OR BREAK YOUR BUSINESS AND REPUTATION.

Umanah Healthcare, is a excellent place to get training if your interested in working in the Healthcare field. I just graduated and received my certificate for CNA II. Mrs. Patricia provided the class with great hands on training in the classroom and at clinicals. She was there with us making sure we understood exactly how to perform every procedure. Mrs. Patricia, really is a great instructor, she makes you really think about what your doing, in the classroom and in clinicals and i love that about her. Classmates also got jobs at a Home Healthcare Agency, Nursing Homes and at the Hospitals, Umanah Healthcare has such a good reputation with other Healthcare Facilities. Thanks, Umanah for helping me build my career in the Healthcare Field. After completion of the CNA II class, within 2 weeks, I received a full-time job offer via Umanah Healthcare Institute. Mrs Patricia has such great contacts and she recommended me. I went for the interview and within 2 days i was hired and Im now working a full-time job as a CNA II. Thank you Jesus and Patricia at Umanah Healthcare Institute.

Hello fellow Futre canidates, I have trained and recived my CNA I / CNA II and Med Aide Certifications from this top notch school. The class instruction here at Umanah was great and I learned so many important things that have helped me in my current job as a NA II, and also helped me passing all my board certifications and skills test on my first try. The clinical hours we did were at a clean and top notch facility which for me was a great experience. I would defently recomend this school to anyone who wants to pursue a health care or nursing career. Thank you very much again Patrica and the Umanah Healthcare Institute for the wonderful experience and all the knowledge I gained. Also it was great compaired to other schools; saving some extra $$$ which is always a great thing. So God Bless!Dont be stupid and go with the rest, you can come to Umanah Heathcare Institute and train with the Best!
