My daughter has been at this establishment since she was 6 weeks old until she recently started Pre-K in school. I have another daughter who has been there throughout this time in the before and after-school program and summer camp. Our time here has been wonderful and filled with caring staff. My kids have truly enjoyed every moment. The owner has just simply been wonderful. She works with both parents and kids and communicates in a professional manner on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for a safe and loving environment for their kids!!!

I love this daycare for my babies. Clean professional and warm also I love that the teachers are consistent. Mrs. Knowles is so pleasant always no matter how busy her day gets. Also I love the app and it’s constant updates throughout the day. Easy and fast way to reach out to my little ones teachers.

My son has been going to Small Voices Academy on Airline Blvd in Portsmouth for 3 years. The owner is very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate about what she does. She is easy to talk to if there is a concern. Her staff are trained well and friendly. The enviorment is welcoming, and calm. This daycare has been a life saver during the pandamic as it has been open as much as possible, which has really been a blessing for me since I am in the medical field and have to work regardless of the situation. I would recommend this daycare to anyone who is looking for a safe, loving enviorment for their child.

This has been an amazing daycare for our infant since day one! Great communication and updates, always so friendly, and our girl has learned so much here! We wish we could have stayed longer if it weren’t for our move.

Weve been here a few months and its been great! Mrs. Knowles is extremely communicative and very friendly! We look forward to having our daughter here until shes ready for elementary school.

I’ve had a great experience so far.. my daughter always runs right in, excited & we are almost always greeted by the owner on our way in & on our way out..she gives me a summary of the day for my daughter & she really took the time to show me around & explain the lesson plans, food items, and more before I even discussed anything financial with her or committed to care of my child, which says a lot. Owner & 2 year old teachers have been so caring & loving as well, towards my daughter. Thanks small voices!

My son attended this academy from 6 weeks to 3 years and Mr. and Mrs. Knowles and her staff were like a second family. Not only do they have the best, affordable rates in the Western Branch area, they provide quality care as well. There is not a time I went to Mrs. Knowles with a question or concern that I left feeling confused or unsatisfied. She is sweet, attentive and very involved with the day to day activities at the academy. She also ensures her staff are doing what they are supposed to do to ensure the well being of all children. Every morning she greets parents and children in a warm, welcoming way. This academy is truly a gem!

My three year old son was hurt here on many occasions and no one called to notify me. I would pick my child up with chapped lips, wet pull ups, and many different other things. On numerous occasions I went to the owner and expressed my concerns and she would brush them off as minor. This place has a high turnover and there is a whole new staff and new faces every 3 months. Not stable and not consistant. My breaking point with this place was when I picked my child up with an injury that had him crying profusely and walking funny. When I went to the owner, Mrs.Knowles, she made up so many excuses and tried to make it seem as though it was my child’s fault. I asked her why no one called me when my child got injured and her exact words were “I’m sorry, we dropped the ball on this one”. The only good teachers in the building are Miss Skeeter and Miss Vann. Miss Skeeter and Miss Vann have always showed how much they cared for my child. The owner Mrs. Knowles clearly does not care about the children and you can tell the babies are only $$$$ to her. Please If you love your child DO NOT send them to this place. Look elsewhere. I’m telling you from experience. I would not trust them to care for my dog. You have been warned.
