I took the 7 weeks program with Caroline and it was fantastic! Based on the initial evaluation, Caroline did a great job creating an individual learning plan. Going to Accent Savvy was the best decision I have made yet!A little background about me,I moved from Europe to the US and speak multiple languages. When you speak multiple languages you most often find it difficult to grasp onto the English pronunciations. For example, I over-enunciate some words which would make me sound monotone. I decided to take one on one session with Caroline for twelve weeks. She has structure her course in a way which starts from the basics and gradually increased me to the advance level. She quickly identified the issue in my speech and gave me the tools to fix the monotone sounds. More over she covered all the aspect of speech patterns, word pronunciations, sentence structure, paragraph structures, and etc.I found Caroline to be the most qualified trainer and a wonderful teacher. She was very thorough in her lessons and was always available with great feedback. Additionally she was always prompt on responding back to your emails with a very detailed explanation of the practice sessions. I have been speaking English for over 20 years. I thought my spoken English was great, despite not capable of being understood at rare occasions. I knew that I had a slight accent, but I didn’t think it was affecting how people understood and perceived me. After taking Caroline’s class, my eyes were opened. I realized that I had a lot of issues with my pronunciation, which explained why people couldn’t understand me at times. Not only did I learn where I could improve, I was taught how to improve through training sessions and practice, which some can be done while I was driving. By the end of the class, I knew that my pronunciation improved. The final evaluation showed that my accent was reduced by 70%. I would recommend Caroline to anyone.

Contacting Caroline is the best decision Ive made this year. This 12 weeks process has been in turn, exhausting, frustrating, surprising and liberating.Thats a commitment so be prepared to work at least a little bit every day, and doing so after a hard day at work can be challenging. Then comes the time when you realize that some sounds youve said for years have always been wrong (like what!? Ive been wrong all this time?). And when you get better at it, people ask you to repeat less and less (which is the goal, right?)Even a few months after the program is over, I surprise myself sometimes using sounds that I didnt completely grasp during the 12 weeks. Which means that, knowing how to pronounce some sounds, my ears can now recognize them when I hear them, and subcontiously, it helps me so I can now pronounce them correctlyBest of all, this knowledge is here to stay and Ill keep this improved accent for life. I took the 12 week program with Caroline and totally loved it and would definitely recommend it! Not only did it help me to achieve my goals of improving pronunciation, but it also opened my eyes (and ears) on a variety of new sounds, differences between intonations in my native language (Russian) and American English among other tricks she taught me. I totally agree with all reviews written before mine and would like to join the choir that recommends accent training with Caroline.I really enjoyed and benefited a lot from every session done in person as well as over the internet (b.t.w I have found the internet session less distracted and a camera view of Carolines mouth and tongue movement much better then what I could see in person).After our first session Caroline created (and along the way modified) a training program that addressed my goals.She was checking my progress and was giving feedback or additional assignments between the sessions.She constantly encouraged me to ask more questions that she would answer by recording audio clips.With her help I began to hear many more sounds and vocal nuances I had never heard or payed attention to before.Caroline does an excellent job as a coach.
