Not your average music school! My son took piano lessons here for several years. He absolutely loved his teacher, Christy. All the teachers are very talented and provide individualized learning plans for their students. Prices are very affordable. Front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this school!

I have been taking adult piano lessons for about 1½ years now with Christy Bennett with my only prior experience being from a few years of Flute in childhood. Christy has been a wonderful teacher and has helped me greatly improve my piano skills (way more than I would have thought I could do in such a short amount of time) and has also encouraged me to compose and present two pieces which Im very proud of. I dont think I could have asked for a better teacher and I look forward to many more lessons with her.

I love this place! I started taking lessons with Desiree here two years ago, just looking to brush up on old skills. I was thinking Id take lessons for a few months and just try to relearn to play the four or five songs I used to play.But I love it so much Im still going. Its truly the highlight of my week. Desiree is a great teacher and a wonderful musician and the occasional sub that Ive had was great too.The school is super convenient with easy parking and the price is reasonable. They have lessons for kids and adults and are open seven days a week. Highly recommended!

ACM music school is a wonderful school. My son has been taking piano lessons for the past three years and he has learned so much. He has participated in several concerts that are offered throughout the year. His teacher, Desiree, is a wonderful teacher. She is very dedicated, flexible, patient, and very talented. My son is always excited to come to his weekly lessons. I would definitely recommend ACM to anyone who wants to learn how to play an instrument.

Excellent music school with very accommodating staff! ACM definitely has one of the cheapest prices for music lessons that Ive seen in Chicago. I highly recommend this for people trying to learn an instrument on a crammed or changing schedule; the teachers are extremely flexible with scheduling!

Our kids have both been students at ACM music school for several years. While one of our children has since moved on from music to pursue her interests in art, the other continues to flourish in his piano studies. All of the teachers are first rate. There is a great emphasis on developing a lifelong love of music among all students. And there is a teacher available for every kind of learner, whether your student wants to be on the performance track or just wants to develop a proper music foundation for other interests (e.g. being in a band, singing, what not).

Years ago, I came across a beautiful little piece of music that inspired me to try taking piano lessons again. But I couldnt find the sheet music for it. I was about to give up when I came across a music school in my neighborhood. I walked in and asked if they could introduce me to someone who could transcribe it. After listening to a bit of the piece, I was told that any of the teachers there could do it. Would you like us to teach it to you? My answer was yes.That was almost four years ago. Since then, Ive learned to play music that Ive loved and admired since I was a kid. Basically, I tell my teacher what I want to learn and then I learn it.Im a very busy person and there are times when I dont have time to practice for several weeks. Im never made to feel guilty. In those cases, I go to my lesson anyway, and it becomes a practice lesson or it might turn into a lesson about history or music theory.ACM is a break from everything else I do in life. Its personal development without pressure. Its another way of thinking. It keeps me grounded. My ears, my hands and my mind are all very grateful that I found this school...
