Highly recommend this organization. Started the program about a month ago and I have already learned so much from it. Definitely worth the money. Student Services there are great. They are always checking up on me to make sure that everything is going well and that I am keeping up with the work. My student services man Corey is really good at what he does. Always offering tutoring in case I run into any trouble and is always making sure that things are running smooth.

After years of recording smaller projects and demos I wanted more. I was stuck. I knew that if I wanted to work with higher-end clients that I needed a better foundation and more training. I also had to find a program that allowed me to hold a job and learn at the same time. After some soul searching and lots of research, I finally found the Recording Connection. As soon as I walked into my mentors studio, I knew that this was it!!My mentor was incredible! He really taught me the things I needed and wanted to know. I was so passionate about learning everything and anything I could, and he gave me all he had. Finally after learning about signal flow, micing techniques, and dynamics all the dots started to connect for me.Its about a year since I graduated from the Recording Connection. Through much hard work and networking, I am now engineering for a legendary producer in a studio in Chicago. I now work with some of the best musicians and artists in the music business and I am grateful to my mentor and the Recording Connection for teaching me the skills I needed to fulfill my dream. Just finished my book orientation with Ron Black and he couldnt have been more helpful. He explained everything about the online textbook and student portal clearly and answered all of my questions about the next steps I needed to take to get started with Recording Connection. On top of being helpful, Ron was very friendly which made the process more enjoyable.

I’m really loving learning about Mix Theory. I really enjoy organizing a session before I start to make my first few adjustments. There’s something calming about the organizational aspects of it.

Recording Connection made me fall in love with audio engineering, actually recording the audio.Being able to see my mentor work with the artists was really valuable. It taught me a lot about artist relations, and I really enjoyed watching him work like that.

Watching my mentor work on sampling music for the track we’re working on has been so informative. It’s amazing to watch the master work.

I have multiple Grammy winning and Multi Platinumartists personal cell phone numbers in my phone after working this program. And because of the studio I apprenticed ats affiliation with a live venue, i have even more connections there. And those connections build even more connections. This is a small industry. Everyone of note knows everyone else. If you have a name or to drop that will back you up that is worth the money. I feel like I can talk to anyone in the industry in the region now and because of the people Ive worked with while in the program I will immediately be taken as credible.

To be surrounded by like-minded people every day who have the expertise and patience to listen to a mix repetitively, and for as long as it takes, to accomplish what needs to be done is exhilarating. If you want to become a pro, you need to hang around other pros which is exactly what the Recording Connection is designed to do.

After my first lesson with my mentor, producer Patrick Heaney, I could tell we were going to get along very well. We have similar approaches to allocating time for our work. I’m extremely excited to learn from him.

Lucas Abend is the sole reason of a 5 star rating. There was nothing like answering the phone for a remote session and being greeted by the angelic voice of an ableton guru. We mostly only talked about music, but I could tell, thru the faintest aspects of his voice and how it vibrated thru my ears, that Lucas had a good head on his shoulders. Whenever I would find myself stuck on a track I knew I could hit Lucas up, whether thru email or via sound waves passing thru telecommunications towers. Even tho we were miles upon miles apart, Lucas never failed to make me feel as if he was in the same room as me, looking over my shoulder, and guiding me toward musical enlightenment.Lucas was extremely helpful and was always able to give me great feedback on tracks in a timely manner. He was also able to teach me concepts that the program did not cover but I was eager to learn about.

Its only my first week, but its been great so far. I cant wait to get Pro Tools!

I am currently in the process of building a record company in the Chicago area. The information that I learned while at the Recording Connection helped to shape how I approach music production. It is a skill that I use nearly every day, throughout the day.
