Lyriq is a wonderful music school. My daughter started classes during COVID and loved ever lesson. They pivoted so well into the virtual world and even had a wonderful student concert outdoors earlier this summer! Sarah Ma is great and as a parent herself, understands what families & kids need and want for music lessons. Bridget Skaggs is Katies voice teacher and she has pushed Katie outside of her comfort zone in such a beautiful way and allowed Katie to begin to increase her confidence on stage! Katie started classes again in person and is loving it even more! Thank you!

I heard rave reviews about Lyriq from our friends whose son is the same age as our daughter and started taking piano lessons this year. We bought our daughter a trial 4-pack lessons for her birthday since she wanted to try out both piano and guitar. It was a great way for her to get a feel for the teachers and the instruments. Sarah and her team have been welcoming and a pleasure to work with! She’s been great coordinating schedules and matching our daughter with a wonderful teacher, Mr. Evan. Although our daughter did like both piano and guitar , she ultimately chose piano and has been enjoying learning it so far! Also, the school is a beautiful space, clean, and well maintained. We’ve felt comfortable participating in in-person lessons and look forward to continuing through the school year.

We absolutely love LYRIQ. Our daughter takes voice lessons with Keanon and piano with Evan. Both instructors are knowledgeable, make lessons fun and most importantly, seem to enjoy what they do! LYRIQ handled the pandemic professionally and safe, both by offering virtual lessons and allowing lessons back in the studio when appropriate. Sarah Ma, the owner, gets to know all students and is very easy to communicate with! We look forward to continuing with LYRIQ!

I recently joined LYRIQ Music School in the spring seeking to refine and grow my piano skills and interest for playing that I had when I took lessons during my formative years (age 5 to 12). Now in my mid 40s Im so grateful to the school and teacher Jacob Adams in particular for re-igniting my passion for piano. Jacob matched well with me with his background in ragtime (where I previously had known most of Scott Joplins famous Maple Leaf Rag). His guidance, encouragement, and frankly ... tailoring the lessons specifically for me have enabled me to introduce other Joplin ragtime pieces as well new and different examples of piano music too (e.g. arpeggios, Bach preludes). Its to the point where my sight-reading, finger dexterity, are almost cascading to learn and grow exponentially.Anyway Im here to say that its not only children who are capable of learning at LYRIQ. Piano is such a wonderful life skill. Theres no better time than emerging from the last 18 months to do something youre passionate about. Thank you to LYRIQ and Jacob in particular. My daughter has been taking violin lessons with LYRIQ and it has been a great experience. They are very well organized and communicate very clearly about any scheduling changes. Marta is a wonderful teacher. She knows how to encourage and motivate kids to want to learn. I highly recommend Marta and the LYRIQ music school.

My child (7) began flute lessons a couple months ago and we have been very happy! She is making great progress and loves her instructor. The space is very nice with individual rooms for lessons and the staff are welcoming and accommodating.

My kids started taking piano lessons in the Fall with Claire. They have picked up technical skills in a short amount of time and have enjoyed the learning environment and the recitals. We have been thrilled with LYRIQ! My granddaughter started with the four lesson “try us out” voice package. She loved it so much we increased our lessons to 45 minutes because 30 minutes just wasn’t long enough! LYRIQ has incredible instructors, a personable and friendly staff and everyone is very invested in making the experience perfect!

My son has been attending Lyriq Music School for 2 years and he really enjoys it. His instructors are outstanding and it is important to the school to find a good instructor fit for each individual. His guitar instructors have worked with my son to learn to play music that he enjoys which keeps my son interested and engaged in his guitar lessons. I also believe that the recitals that the school assembles are excellent!

Ive been taking voice lessons here for about a year now and Joan Marie is great! I feel like Ive improved so much, my loved ones can tell too! Lyriq is also accommodating when it comes to planning lesson times. My work schedule could be a little unpredictable but we always were able to find time for music. I definitely recommend Lyriq to anybody looking to hone their music skills or try something new!

My son started trumpet lessons online with Mislav this year. He very much enjoys his lessons, and looks forward to them. The progress made is very evident. Happy we found Lyric and Mislav.

We love LYRIQ Music School! My son has been taking piano lessons for less than a year, and we are so happy with his progress. They seamlessly transitioned to virtual lessons a few months ago, and the owner has kept us up to date on a regular basis. The communication is wonderful! Our experience with our instructor, Jacob, has also been great. My son gets frustrated easily and Jacob has been extremely understanding and helpful. Everyone there is very kind and helpful, and I highly recommend LYRIQ.

LYRIQ is fantastic! For anyone interested in learning an instrument or more about music in general finding a better option will be very difficult. Sarah, who runs the school is professional, kind, and takes great care to ensure the students and anyone interested in a students progress has a great experience. My 7 year old daughter takes piano from Jacob Adams who is excellent! He displays great patience and encouragement with her and it is sincerely appreciated.... After a long layoff from musical study, Ive as recently as of this writing begun a music theory course with Anne Gallery and I am already happy to have signed up as it is already paying dividends after one session! LYRIQ is an excellent local option for those interested in learning music!

Our son has been a student at LYRIQ Music School since shortly after they opened their doors and we cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience there. First of all, his teacher, Evan, is a WONDERFUL teacher -- encouraging and supportive. We have never once had to ask our son to practice because Evan has worked with him to select music that he wants to play versus feeling like he has to play. Second, the schools owner is Sarah and she is very customer centric...flexible and helpful always. It is obvious that she is a parent herself because she understands the students and communicates with them as a parent would. Lastly, they have a wonderful facility that we cannot wait to get back to, but when stay at home orders were put in place this year, the school pivoted into online learning almost IMMEDIATELY and faster than literally any other activity that either of my kids are involved with....I just cannot say enough great things about our experience with LYRIQ!

LYRIQ l has all of the capacity of large music schools, but with exceptional teachers who take the time and dedicate the talent to learning as much about their students goals and drive. My young son has developed into an accomplished classical guitarist by the age of 10. Looked like so much fun that I started taking lessons shortly thereafter. My teacher Cameron understands my goals and gives me tools, insights and space to reach them. Recommend LYRIQ to any and all who aspire for more music in their lives.

Wonderful space and people! Creative and fun, and geared toward the individual students. Sarah (the owner) has gathered amazing teachers who are accomplished musicians, but more importantly, who find ways to connect with and motivate students. Communication is clear, appointments are easily calendared, and the space itself is welcoming and spotlessly clean. The transition to remote instruction in the spring was amazing, and now there is a hybrid option for fall instruction. Our family has only good things to say about our experiences with Lyriq.

From finding the right fit for my daughters teacher to being extremely flexible in scheduling and fair in payment plans-the experience has been so positive. But I was so impressed with the recital at the end of the year and how my daughter grows in her voice abilities while there.

Sarah has thought of everything. She supports her team of world-class musicians with the types of sophisticated processes and technology that help the teachers focus on helping our 5-year-old learn piano and percussion.Together, they create a warm, nurturing environment undergirded by text reminders, calendar invitations, and emailed lesson notes we can use to help our kid stay on track.They were able to flip over to Zoom lessons quickly, and we find them valuable. However, we cant wait until they are able to re-open the studio because the facilities are amazing and we miss Crash, the LYRIQ mascot/bouncer/dog.

We have had a great experience sending our kids to take guitar and piano lessons at Lyriq. Wonderful, polite and professional service, from the director, to the instructors to the front desk. My son enjoys his guitar lessons with Noah, he always looks forward to it and wants to practice so that he can be just as good as him one day, because Noah is amazing, you should see his fingers go! My daughter very much enjoys piano lessons with Brett, she really wanted a lady to teach her but after one lesson with Brett she was pleased as punch to stay with him. They both are very positive and promote a fun learning environment.

Im an adult who has always wanted to learn how to play piano. While there are a lot of children who are taught here, I also do not feel out of place at all coming to take classes here. There are even adult recitals if youd want to show off your skills. My teacher is great, and helped me get a basic understanding of music theory, as well as basic skill quickly. Over the past year and a half, Ive had three subs, and both were able to jump in on the subject matter I was working and provide different insight. I have not had one bad lesson, and Lyriq creates a great community.

I cant say enough good things about LYRIQ Music School! My son started playing the guitar in January of 2019 and is still going strong. His teacher, Adam, does a fantastic job of feeding what he is interested in playing, so he wants to get better and better. They shifted to zoom learning very quickly this spring and are still doing a phenomenal job virtually. Thanks LYRIQ!

My now-9-year-old will have been going to LYRIQ Music School for a year this September. I have seen his skills grow immensely since then, and hes really leaned in on his ownership of building his abilities. I have to commend Sarah for her capable leadership through the shift to remote lessons and really being on top of all communications from LYRIQ. We cant want to see everyone in person someday, but for now, we all enjoy staying connected to music (so important) through our virtual LYRIQ lessons with Jacob.

Ive had nothing but great experience with LYRIQ Music School since we started in February 2020. My son (7) began piano lessons in person before the pandemic, so we were only able to get about 1 month of classes in before the lockdown. Since then, hes been enjoying piano lessons via Zoom with his teacher from LYRIQ. The switch to online was seamless with LYRIQ and the communication is top notch. This is one of the few places were the customer service goes above and beyond and we couldnt be more pleased with it! Id recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for quality music instruction.

Lyriq is a very professionally run music studio. When my girls were looking for voice lessons, we looked for proximity. What we got was so much more. My daughter started taking piano lessons when she was 7 years old with Mr. Evan. Although she had previously taken private lessons with two other instructors at a different school, I didn’t feel like it had been a good match. I approached Sarah, the owner of Lyriq and shared my daughter’s learning style. Based on what I shared, she thought Mr. Evan would make a good match. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him!! My daughter loves working with him and she has made so much growth these past two years. We were so happy and inspired by what we saw and heard, that a year later we added voice lessons. Again Sarah was able to pair us with Ms. Joan Marie who encouraged my daughter’s personality and helped bring it out through the song selections. Most recently when the quarantine hit, we added virtual drum lessons. Her teacher Mr. Boyan was helpful in recommending an electric drum set and has been very encouraging as my daughter has tackled a new instrument. I highly recommend this school to anyone that asks!In addition, Sarah is actively involved within the community and has provided multiple opportunities for the students to perform at local events, such as Ribfest, Christmas Caroling, and at the local Farmers’ Market. My daughter has really enjoyed these events and it helps the students (and families) connect with each other. I love attending these events and hearing what other students are learning. The teachers are incredibly talented and work so well with their students. The school’s love of music and performing is evident and inspiring!

A++++! I can’t say enough great things about Lyriq. Jacob started teaching my 5-year-old son piano last fall and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He is extremely patient with my young child who struggles with focus. Progress has been very impressive, and I hope to continue his lessons for years to come. The halls and practice rooms are filled with students and teachers singing, dancing, and carrying smiles. Sarah, the owner, is a warm-hearted person who is treats her clients like family and is always excited to see the kids come and perform. Her and Jacob have always been flexible in schedule changes. It’s been saddening that during this covid-19 pandemic in-person lessons have had to be replaced with virtual lessons over zoom. But, I extend my compliments to their staff in their ability to quickly adapt to remote learning and continue providing quality instruction while keeping our community safe. If Lyriq is in need of any improvement, I cannot imagine what that could be. I hope they continue to do the great job they are doing and look forward to when we get to go back to seeing those friendly faces in-person. :-)

We have had a great experience at Lyriq. My daughter started piano and had progressed beyond what i could have imagined in only a few short months. The teachers are friendly and patient. They are flexible when we need to reschedule. We have been doing virtual lessons during the times of COVID and it has worked really well! The teacher is engaged and my daughter loves her weekly lessons!! We tried other places for lessons in the past and have found our music home!! My daughter wants to start voice lessons and my 5 year old son can’t wait to learn the guitar!!! Would recommend Lyriq to anyone!!!

When my son showed an interest in signing at a young age, I did my homework and looked at many different vocal coaches/music schools. LYRIQ, by far, was the right fit for us and exceeded all our expectations! Not only is LYRIQ a local, family owned business, they are your one-stop shop for all levels and areas of interest. Sarah Ma (owner) is so wonderful to work with and always remains flexible with our ever-changing schedule. My son and I absolutely LOVE his vocal coach, Joan Marie Dauber (JMD as we call her). JMD is always so positive, patient and encouraging while gently challenging my son to discover what his voice can do...and omigosh, can she sing!!

Great quality music education . . . From ukulele and guitar lessons with Cameron to voice lessons with Joan to piano lessons with Claire - each instructor has been wonderful. And Sarah Ma is very responsive to inquiries or schedule changes.I also appreciate how Lyriq uses technology to text confirmation of lesson times each week, and to produce professional-quality videos that Lyriq of each recital. Recently, the music lessons continued without interruption during quarantine, moving to a remote format. And even the recitals continued in quarantine, where musical pieces performed at different homes were edited into recital videos for a group of performances. Lyriq goes above and beyond . . . Lyriqs distance learning pivot hasnt affected the quality of the lessons at all, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for music instruction.

And Sarah Ma is so responsive in answering questions or rescheduling lessons. And the recitals (even the virtual one during COVID) are well-organized and consist of so many talented musicians. In a city with a ton of options for music lessons, schools or teachers...we love Lyriq!

Lyriq is a family affair for us now over two years, and we love it. Weve been thrilled with Evan and Jacob teaching those of us doing piano and so happy with Cameren teaching guitar. Sarah has created a real sense of community for the adult learners with the periodic recitals (even as much as I hate playing in front of people). Lyriq was an early successful adopter of the virtual model, which has allowed us to continue uninterrupted during these COVID times. But Im itching to get back into their space--I miss the baby grand piano which is in much better tune than our upright. Were very grateful Lyriq is in our neighborhood and that it has been able to weather the last few months!!

We love Lyriq Music School. My son is 16 and began piano lessons six months ago. My only regret was not getting him started sooner at Lyriq Music School. He loves it. Hes learned so much in such a short time and has a great piano teacher (Jacob A.) Lyriq is very professional, caring and passionate. Read below for details.We are starting our third year with Lyriq. Our two daughters have experience, one with piano and trumpet and the other with piano and violin. Working with Sarah at Lyriq, we were able to arrange once a week lessons with instructors right away. Everything was done online via the Lyriq website or email with Sarah.Once the lessons started, we found Lyriq had outstanding instructors. Evan is patient and engaging instructing piano. Simeon will teach you top technique and theory for the violin. Sadly we lost Justin on the trumpet when he moved abroad (which was okay as my oldest is now in High School taking band). The weekly visits are in a nice studio and every quarter there is a concert to motivate the students. Sarah is awesome, sorting everything out. She relates to the children and genuinely cares for each, my daughters love interacting with her.We had to change to virtual learning when the pandemic hit, but the transition was smooth. We print out the lesson notes sent via email and have the lessons via Zoom. I hope they keep it as an optional enhancement to the studio lessons!We renew the lessons every few months, so there is not a long-term commitment. Payment via credit card upfront for us, so very simple.
