My daughter has attended CLP since Jan 2018, and weve always loved the school. But Ive been beyond impressed by how the leadership and teachers at CLP have all handled the challenges of the last few months. They seamlessly moved our preschool class to zoom, provided volumes of easily accessible online materials at home, and did not miss a single day of instruction. When the city was ready to reopen, they had met all licensing requirements to give us the option of sending her back to school. My daughter is reading short words, and most importantly - so are the other kids her age. They teach to all levels and abilities and believe that every child can succeed. I love that CLP balances warmth, play and social/emotional development with an enrichment program as part of their curriculum. If you have high expectations of children, they will rise to meet them. The school itself is racially and ethnically diverse among the students, parents, and staff. It was hard for us to find a preschool we could trust with our daughter’s education and development. We knew after touring two of their locations that this was the perfect program for our family, and we are absolutely thrilled with their team. Thank you, CLP.

Well run day care with great staff. Good mix of learning and play. Organization communicates very well and they uses Brightwheel so its easy to see what your child is doing and how their day is going.

Childrens Learning Place is a wonderful school. The staff and owners are caring and loving. A misfortune occurred but this school is and has been top notch. It is clean, organized and well run. Sending your child here is the best decision you could make. Your child will receive a quality education in a nurturing environment.

Both of our sons have been going to CLP Logan Square full-time, since 3 months old (they are 3 1/2 and 2). They absolutely love it. CLP does a really great job of mixing play-based activities with learning. By the time my oldest son turned 2, he knew how to count to 10 and sing his ABCs. But he also loved creative play and art. And I know thats because of the environment he was surrounded by. And ALL of the staff in the entire building (east and west side) know our childrens names, and are friendly and interactive with all the children. I generally have a hard time trusting my children in the care of others, but because my kids run in there so happy to be there, it makes it easier on us as parents to let go of all that worry. Some aspects I also appreciate about the daycare:- They have cameras in the classrooms and hallways; footage can be accessed upon request- They use an app called Brightwheel to keep you updated on your childs day (including photos)- They feed the kids well (healthy and hearty servings)- I appreciate that they provide diapers and formula - this was hard to find when looking for day cares. They also provide all sorts of transitional food options for when your child starts to learn how to eat solids.- They have a strict sick policy - this is for the safety of all the kids and as hard as it can be to find last minute care for your child when they wake up with a fever, it ends up being the best for the rest of the day care community so the teachers and other kids dont get sick too. We have had very, very few illnesses (knock on wood) compared to some of my friends children at other facilities.- Lastly, everything is very clean and well -organized. I wish I could keep our own play spaces at home this clean!I think the only feedback we have needed to provide in our time here, is that communication to parents can sometimes be confusing or not comprehensive enough about more big-picture things (not regarding our kids day-today). But, there has been improvement over the years and it hasnt been anything that is harmful to us or our children. And since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been very happy with their level of detail and planning surrounding their re-opening and safety precautions. They really are going over the top to ensure everyones safety as best as they can with what is in their control.

Weve enrolled our daughter to CLP for over a year and have been very happy with the care and education she has received. The teachers have really cared for her and gotten to know her and understand her needs and personality. I really feel like they keep it interesting and stimulating for her, which is important because shes an unusually active and curious toddler. I also feel like the administration is responsive and professional. As a teacher myself, I have high standards and expectations. We plan on keeping her there for the foreseeable future, and have never considered switching. Many of the teachers are available for sitting outside of school, and they also have monthly Friday night group sitting for a few hours for only $20 right at the school. There are a lot of other nice things I could say about the teachers, but Id just like to tell you about how once I dropped off my daughter on a Monday morning and as soon as I set her down, she ran over to her teacher and gave her a big hug.I feel also that I want to call BS on the one-star reviews below. Those people dont even live in the area, so how could they possibly write a valid review?

This review is for the infant room and management. My son has attended CLP for over the past year in the infants room has truly enjoyed the love and attention. The teachers truly care for the kids and treat them like family. The management has been easy to deal with and professional. I feel that overall, CLP offers many features, child enrichment and benefits that can be difficult to find in other childcare options. There was an incident that occurred December 1, 2017 in one of the toddler rooms. There is no justification for this incident and its terrible it occurred. Management has taken several safety risk mitigation actions as a result of this incident. This appears to be an isolated incident and didnt change my decision or that of several other parents to withdraw their children from the daycare. There are many childcare options in Chicago and in evaluating those, interviewing the teachers and management staff to get an understanding of what their business model and style is a great way to make an informed decision on if that childcare option is right for you.

CLP is the absolute best! Our son attended the Bucktown location from 4 months old to 2 years old and then we transferred to the West Town location. Both locations were very phenomenal. They took such good care of our little guy and taught him so much. My husband and I always joked that we acted like grandparents because we knew our son was getting a good education and eating well rounded organic meals during the week. We hated to leave but we were relocated to Texas. His new school is great but does not compare to CLP. We had another son and put him in a different school in Texas and that one doesn’t compare either! It really made me appreciate CLP that much more and prompted me to write this review. We miss CLP very much and are so grateful for the time we had

Great place for kids. they do a very good job on all levels. dont pay any attention to these 1 star reviews. they are written by simpletons who dont have anything better to do. there is much much more to the reported case and i still have the accused watch my child. she made an honest mistake and did nothing intentional.

Our baby started at CLP Logan Square at 4 months old. As first time parents, we were really nervous to leave her but the staff at CLP has made the transition really seamless for us. Madi, the director, runs a tight ship and is really invested in the kids (she knows everyones names, both parents and children, and always knows whats going on in every room). The teachers are also awesome and they really know our daughter and love her. She squeals and crawls over to her friends and teachers every morning when we drop her off. They also have fun activities such as a Fall Harvest Fest, family literacy night, etc. I highly recommend this daycare to families in the area.

Our son has been at CLP for almost 15 months and we have nothing but positive things to say! Madi, Brittni, and the front office staff are wonderful and attentive. Heres a great example of how they go above and beyond - our son got extremely sick one day and we had to take him to the ER. When I showed up I was obviously rattled and worried - Madi offered to drive my car while I sat in the backseat with our son all the way to the ER. Madi was so sweet in reassuring me and getting us there quickly and safely then she followed up via email later. Talk about being there in the trenches with you!Additionally, we have really seen our son flourish here. CLP is truly an early childhood education center, not a daycare that just watches your kid while you are gone but a place that really values learning and development. Our son LOVES his weekly music class with Mary Macaroni and he also has Spanish class each week (hes 19 months). Weve seen his speech and language development sky rocket. His social skills are fantastic for his age (he even understands the concept of sharing!). The school does great little things like an annual Spring Show which is just so stinking cute, various holiday parties in the classrooms, kid-made gifts around major holidays, etc.A rare perk of CLP that I dont think is highlighted enough is Parents Night Out! Two times each month on a Friday night you can leave your kid there until 9 PM (I think, we always forget what time we are supposed to pick him up, haha) for only $20! We arent aware of many other daycares that offer this but it has been incredible for my husband and Is relationship! Think about it, two nights a month you can go out after work, go on a date, get chores done around the house, anything you want without having to quickly get home to pick up your child! Its the best! They feed the kids dinner, get them in their jammies, and put them to bed! We were worried about how difficult it may be to transition him home but it was easy-peasy! We love it!!Overall, CLP is a fantastic daycare. They have great communication, fun programs, and just really care. The best!

Our daughter and son attended CLP Logan square and we are forever grateful for all they did in developing and caring for our children from infants to pre-k. Our daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes while attending CLP and they were nothing short of amazing in learning everything they needed to know to care for her. We ❤️ CLP!
