If you’re looking for electrical components, this is your place. If you’re looking for fun, kitschy stuff, this is your place. The only issue is the difficulty in getting out of there in less than half an hour due to skylarking about a dozen projects and whimsy reminiscing about your childhood regarding the toys kits.

This is such a fun store to wander around in. They sell all type of science items from pre-packaged kits to individual parts and pieces. They also carry loads of the most random things imaginable like wooden beads, colored string, army hats and rubber chickens. You never know what youll find. Each item is labeled with a very funny hand made sign. I shop here for science related items but I also find great material here for art projects. Plenty of parking available.

Truly remarkable array of science-oriented stuff to peruse through. If you or your child are looking for hands-on fun projects to do together, you will find one that will appeal to them here. (Pic is of the completed crystal growing kit I purchased there.)Chemistry, electronics, geology, biology, novelty stuff, military surplus items, vintage equipment displays, even Venus fly traps! Staff is friendly and helpful: you can tell that these guys are passionate about what they do. Items were fairly priced and store was easy to navigate through.Simply put, it’s the STEM equivalent of Jewel: you can find pretty much anything here and it won’t break the bank.

Honestly, the stores gimmick is to never have anything youre specifically looking for, but instead has thousands of other niche items at seemingly okay prices, so you never leave empty handed. But heres the catch: 95% of it is surplus junk theyre probably selling exponentially higher than they bought it, and its a toss up whether it works or not. Maybe the junk in the store is better off in a dump than filling the pockets of whoever owns it while their unenthusiastic, minimum wage employees risk getting COVID from the majority of the clientele that wear their masks improperly. People act like its really unique, but trust me, you can find anything they sell elsewhere, and once the novelty of being inside the store wears off, you realize the vibes there arent great.

Rude experience from cashier. Waiting in line behind the person in front of me socially distanced. The cashier looks at the person in the other lane and said for her to come over. I stepped up and said i was waiting. I wasnt going to let ot go and fully prepared to leave the stuff i wanted behind. He rang it up and the business is charging the bag tax even though mayor light foot suspended the collection. Im not thrilled and though i may spend a bit more i can find this stuff elsewhere. Though points for the selection but thats all i can say for this place.

This place has the most wonderfully random selection of everything youd never think of. I wish I could make it over here more often, but Im rarely in that area. Every time I go I feel like theres never enough time to browse through everything. So I wouldnt recommend going here in a rush! Its almost like a museum, you want to take time to look at everything. Its like a museum, hardware store, arts & crafts store, toy store, science & medical supply store, and more all in one!I love all the odd and unique little random things you can buy here, from beakers to all sorts of containers to tiny animal figurines. Its a great place to buy unique gifts! Things Ive bought here in the past include a miniature globe, mystical fire color changing powder that Ive used at bonfires, venus flytrap kits, plastic dinosaur toys, and much more that I cant think of right now.Definitely worth a visit!
